  • if i had a penny every time monstercat released an emo/loser themed EP this year i’d have two… which is pretty weird!
Mazare launched his new PIRATE, PUNK, GENTLEMAN branding earlier this year, announcing that he’d be delving even deeper into his love for punk rock and including even more references to it in his DnB, so much so that he brought along 4 different bands to work with him on this EP ‘The Losers Club’, which dropped on Monstercat on July 5. Let’s see what it brings!
this is all my opinion, and i don’t tolerate blatant disrespect towards artists in my comments. by all means you’re allowed to have a least favourite but be respectful about it! don’t be bashing me about the ranking either, it’s not gospel truth and you should enjoy what you want without being judged :D
if you do end up enjoying the music, go check it out wherever you get it! each song title is shown in the video :) it helps the artist(s) a ton so why not stream/buy/download? :D
    MY SPOTIFY PLAYLISTS: open.spotify.c...
hope you enjoyed the video though! if you want to see more dont forget to subscribe with notifications on to never miss another upload :D

Mazare's new musical era feels... Nice and that's it. Doesn't surprise or stand out for me sadly. I prefer Paracosm EP more. So, here's my ranking (personal opinion):
    1.- Generation Gap (8.0/10)
When I heard Generation Gap for the first time I said: "Hmm... Not bad, but there's something that doesn't convince me". A month later, I listened to it again and grew on me a bit more. Both the alternative Pop Rock overtones and breakbeats flows very well. The only drawback is Dead Pony's vocal performance, which falls somewhat short due to how repetitive it becomes. From then on, no more complaints.
    2.- If I Die Today (7.0/10)
The euphoric-reflective feeling about atmosphere and lyric adds points. The melodies resonate calmer here.
    3.- The Losers Club (6.0/10)
More acceptable production design and bassline, but still unremarkable.
    4.- Tidal Wave (5.0/10)
Vocal performance is squeaky and the bassline falls into the lowest DnB standards.

So if you had to choose between this and Fairlane’s Genesis EP, which one would you prefer?

I see that I think the last song is way better and more of a different thing than the rest of the ep

Did not like this EP, the rocktronic sound does not work well for me at all and the only good tune imo is If I Died Today
