While 22,000 calories of cake definitely meets the standards of an epic food challenge, our objective in bringing such a wide variety of carrot cakes ranging from budget buys to costly gourmet options to this week’s mukbang was to determine which are worth the purchase!
We cast no judgement and are certainly no strangers to the inexpensive baked goods so we figured, if there were anyone to determine whether you should be splurging or saving on this epic dessert, we were the guys for the job.

Q: How do you not gain weight?
A: Endurance sports (primarily running, cycling and some resistance training tossed in) and extreme discipline & sacrifice with our daily diets is how we manage not to gain weight. We eat mostly vegetables, fruits, some whole grains and low fat dairy on the days outside these challenges. The calories consumed in a food challenge are the only calories consumed that day and sometimes the day following as well seeing our appetites are typically shot from so much food and the thought of eating is very off putting. Two days out we are back to large amounts of vegetables and increase to maintenance from there. We also often eat most of our days calories in a smaller eating window (we frequently bounce between intermittent fasting & OMAD diet as it just seems to work with our lifestyles and eating preferences). Anyone with a larger than normal stomach capacity like us, the drive to push through the discomfort of a challenge like this, and a basic understanding of energy balance (calories in vs calories out) can do it with enough disciple and intention (not that we recommend it).
Also worth mentioning is that we do not exercise to burn the calories consumed in a challenge but rather we are able to consume higher calorie diets due to our love for endurance sports and said discipline with our daily diets.

A: While we’re sure that type of video will eventually make its way out there, this channel is intended primarily for food entertainment. We’re still in the very early stages of establishing ourselves within this genre and we’re constantly experimenting and trying to improve upon our style to make our channel a unique experience. Food is our passion while fitness is our discipline so, while we currently only have the availability to produce one quality piece of content a week, food-centered videos is where we’ll be focusing our attention (and trust us, it’s more fun for all of us this way). Thats not to say it will never happen - it’s just not a top priority for us.
One thing I really appreciate about this channel is that they get right into it; the pacing is perfect! They don't waste minutes with a long, drawn out intro and don't take an eternity to eat. I hope this channel blows up big time! ❤️

As many of my friends will tell you, carrot cake and red velvet are my 2 most favourite cakes, probably due to the cream cheese frosting which is epic lol, so this video goes down as an all time favourite for me. I am not a fan of Cheesecake Factory's carrot cake when I had it. I might be wrong, they might have change their recipe, or, the cheesecake from RI's CF is different from the ones down here in Southern CA (I doubt it). I worked in a vegan restaurant for 5 years and i sued to make the desserts (among a long list of other things) and mind you our carrot cake m o i s t and honestly delicious ! It was gluten free as well (I'm neither vegan nor gluten free so i was extremely picky regarding the recipe and remade it until i was satisfied with texture and taste).
The cream cheese frosting was made of silk tofu! And a few other things... worked surprisingly well! Wished i could send you pictures, it looked good too!

That Restaurant Depot cake is soooo good, and that cream cheese frosting is unreal! I wish I knew how to make that frosting, it's not your basic cream cheese frosting recipe.

The only prerequisite to having a membership to the restaurant supply place is owning a business. The kind of business is actually completely irrelevant (We assume maybe because they consider workplaces supplying breakrooms, feeding employees, maybe various retail establishments that offer candy, snacks, drinks etc.?? Idk). Anyways, our step dad had a construction business all growing up and so we’ve had a membership through that business our entire lives. It’s the only way our mother could afford to keep us gluttons well fed growing up 😆

I use to work at this Greek restaurant in Florida called Hellas and the carrot cake is amazing, I compare it to Cheesecake Factory, but I have cousins who work in The bakery factory if that restaurant and get my deserts and cakes for the low even tho it’s a pricey restaurant for food there

Trader Joe's used to have a whole carrot cake in the freezer section. It was always my favorite! Heavy, dense, moist and so good. It's been discontinued, don't know why!

I honestly don't know how these boys aren't 500 lbs!
just because they're eating a majority of high calorie foods in one period of time doesn't mean they will be instantly fat. to lose weight, you have to be in a calorie deficit. if they do these challenges every week, on the other weekdays they do various forms of cardio (they have mentioned this in a couple of videos) such as running, and they also occasionally lift i believe. they also mention they consume a diet of plenty of vegetables along with dairy (such as cottage cheese) and probably fruits and other health staples as well to be in a calorie deficit. as long as they maintain a healthy lifestyle while doing these challenges weekly there does not need to be concern for their own health.
