I think she started singing for the little girl because she couldn’t find the strength so Ariana used her strength and let the little girl pull herself together. And after she felt the little girl calming down she let her finish it off. She even consoled her! Ariana is truly an example of strength for many young girls and boys out there.

She didn't. She was at the concert, as were a number of the choir members. But they didn't know anybody who died. She is probably crying at all the emotion, the memories of that night and the emotion of being up there with one of her idols.

Now this was one of my favorite parts of the show, it goes to prove how human and genuine she is. You can tell while she's standing next to them holding the girl's hand. This is what makes an artist be loved by so many people.
