Humans Being tribute to Eddie Van Halen

- Sadly my guitar hero, the legend, Eddie Van Halen died last week. As a massive fan of his guitar playing and song writing from a very early age, his music was very influential in my formative years as a musician.
So as a tribute to the master i decided to make this little tribute to him. This is one of my favourite Van Halen songs, Humans Being.
From the film soundtrack to #Twister this song is full of angst, rock and amazing musicianship from all the Van Halen guys. The angst may be due to the fact that the line up as it was at the time was coming to a messy end and would soon see Sammy Hagar out and David Lee Roth back in for the best of record that follwed shortly after this single.
I play all instruments on this video. You will see my trusty black #MusicMan Axis which did all the recording duties. Making and appearance is my EVH #Wolfgang. Drum samples are from Steven Slate Digital SSD played on my electric Roland Kit. Guitars are processed through Native Guitar Rig 5 and recorded in Logic.
All video was shot on GoPro Hero 8 and edited in Final Cut Pro X
Of course I don't claim to own any of this music and is it simply a tribute to a hero - Mr Edward Lodewijk Van Halen and of course, Alex, Mikey and Sammy all of which are awesome at what they bring to the table! - Hudba

You almost need to be touched with a bit of the divine to channel Eddie’s pyrotechnics. How one person can channel the entire band is beyond any description I could offer. Absolutely brilliant and far, far beyond inspired!

Yes exactly why I chose it. I realise VH was not doing so great as a band on a personal level by this point in their career but this song plus “can’t get this stuff no more” is in my humble opinion the pinnacle of their sound. I know many will not agree but that’s opinions for you lol. Still love the older stuff too though. Just been jamming on “unchained” with my new EVH Bumblebee 🤘🏻🎸

Yes I believe it’s quite rare. It was in a shop being over looked. I actually didn’t want it either and ordered a trans purple. (Way back in 2001) but the shop said I needed to try it. They mailed it to me on approval (in could send it back if I didn’t want it). As soon as i picked it up I knew it was a keeper. It will outlive me. It’s a piece or art that thing!

First off this is awesome. Second is the guitars. I was drooling over the striped Wolf but then you had that Tele lookin one and I was blown away on how cool that looks. Never seen one like that. Great on all points.
So the “tele” is a musicman Axis. Is what the Ernie ball music man EVH became when he moved to Peavey. Eddie played them on the Right here right now tour and at the beginning of the Balance tour. I originally ordered one of the trans quilted ones like Eddie played but (this was in 2001) the music shop couldn’t get them. But they had this one - nobody wanted it because traditionally the Axis did not have a scratch plate. But the shop sent it to me “on approval”. Straight out of the box I knew it was MY guitar. Slightly shorter neck than the Wolfgang so better for my stubby little fingers. Especially when trying to tap 12 - 8 - 3 😂.
