    Some corrections for the Born if anyone doesn't know...
    6:43 Change the temperature easily... Swipe the temperature number on the screen left/right to change the temperature by 0.5 at a time.
    6:54 Tap both the blue and red areas in the slider bar at the bottom to change the heated seat intensity.
    Both can be done at any time and in any screen.

    Its personal taste. I bought the Born as it was nicer inside with a bigger infotainment screen and looked different plus it came with more options than the available ID3 which cost more in the UK. The ID3 is a nice car but I preferred the sportier look of the Born, the Born also has a black interior which I liked in my old Audi. I do prefer the ID3 wheels as the V2 Born ones are OK. I think the Born could have been lowered more and given a more sportier look with bigger front vents like Mercedes etc. Phone charger pad is a bit rubbish in the Born as your phone does tend to fall out. Haptic buttons not he best and no rear AC vents disappointing but its built to a cost. Not many after market add on's for either car which is also disappointing (Maxton etc.)

    6:18 Climate can be set on the main screen by holding your finger on it then selecting which favourite 3 things to show on the first screen, and next 3 on the second screen that’s accessed by swiping across. Heated seats are activated by a double tap on the slider control for each side, very simple and effective. Heated steering is in the climate page as you state, but you can also set it to come on automatically if the external temperature is cold, and you can specify which level it should come on at, low, med, high. I’ve only sat in an id3 and the interior didn’t do it for me so went with the Born. Love the way it drives. Night and day compared to a DSG Kamiq!

    Great video. For anyone interested and deciding which to buy, the 58kWh ID3 can have a tow bar fitted behind the number plate. it's not for towing, rather for bike carriers or a luggage box. The Born does not have that option on either the 58kWh or 77kWh models. Born also can't officially have roof bars (think this may also be the case for the ID3).

    Silly question: On the ID 3 - how can you make it lock or unlock based on key proximity

  • @Jonathan_104
    @Jonathan_104 Před rokem +2

    8:53 that's not true. When I swipe down in my ID.3 it will only show the notification screen, if there are actually notifications. If not, it will always show the favourites screen first. When you previously opened up the notifications screen (which I presume you did, because previously in the video there were 2 notifications, but they were gone at 8:53) it then stayed at this screen, so when you swiped down again it was still in its old position. By default the favourites screen will show, if there are no notifications.
    Other than that I was surprised that there were that many negative differences on the Born. Besides the little bit more power on the Boost version, the Born is inferior in any regards to the ID.3 in my opinion.

      In Denmark a 77 kw ID.3 is 8000€ more than a 77 kw Born… and to me the Born both looks and drives better… and has 27 more horses in its stable.
      The only “wins” that the ID.3 scores is in its better reversing camera placement an the LED Matrix lights… to me, that’s not a lot for 8000 €!
