It's interesting that it is one of the most biased and hypocritical I have ever heard. But, having said that, I would expect that. It is so frustrating and heartbreaking that there has been such loss of life and so much devastation to the Jewish people because leftists in Israel were committed to suicidal policies. Rabbi Meira Kahane was labelled as a right wing extremist and was maligned throughout his life and even in his death but clearly he was right all along. Just from Hungary we lost 457 thousand Israelite sisters and brothers to Hitler demonic genocide, almost equally the same was hidden by good people all over in the country. Each of the sorounding countries were on the same scale. The Oslo agreement was nothing but a small peace of carrots that Jewish people went for in desperation. What a betrayal. They put them in a situation That guaranteed nothing but trouble and slow genocide. I also have a good understanding of both old and New Testament. In correct times, right now the State of Israel must go to court also to The Hague and demand by the all the historical and archeological proofs, papers, Testemonial under pinning to officially change the borders of the State. Most people in this world have no idea of anything you said here. Or just simply ignoring it. Thank you so much for this important video. This has been the best historical analysis of the modern history of "Palestine" in the last 100 years. I have been spending far too much time writing comments on CZcams, so I'll keep this brief. I see a lot of "Free Palestine" or "End the Israeli Genocide" and it just makes me sad because of the falsehoods that are implied, and yet people are loving this cause and eagerly run into the streets of Chicago and New York and elsewhere to chant "Free Palestine from the River to the Sea!" This is of course a call to eradicate Israel with some friendly sounding words. These people are either products of poor parenting, poor education, or poor peer pressure. Perhaps it is all of the above, and the sad thing is I do not think education will solve this problem. People just refuse to see objective truths and only want to believe in their own "bubble narratives," (isolated narratives or monologues) as I call it. What can we do to help people see the reality in "Palestine"?

Dr Wilf is at her finest, a pleasure to listen to her. The man interviewing her is stuttering, stumbling and fumbling looking for words, why can't he just spit it out, he is putting me to sleep. This interview could have been ten minutes shorter if he didn't hesitate so much.
I was recently in hospital in a room for three days with a man who lived in Jerusalem as a ten year old boy.
He relived his experiences helping soldiers to get to certain areas, only the kids knew the back alleys, over the roof tops. It all came back to him, he had the same passion for telling me his experiences.

Dr. Wilf, this is the best take on the conflict I've heard so far. I arrived at the same conclusion you did at the end, but then furthermore it would seem the future is brighter for us in the Abraham Accords states than even in the West. I.e. I suspect the antisemitism in the West will more or less stay high, but Iran is going to have a damn revolution.

I totally agree that the story has to start with the fall of the Ottoman Empire, I understood so much when I read “The fall of the Ottomans”, but nobody reads long history books anymore, so much easier to just chant slogans. So thank you Dr. Wilf for all your hard work! You explain this complex situation in simple and straightforward ways, leaving no room for misinterpretation.

"Israel really wanted" means an unstable Israeli coalition government, under some US prodding, was leaning towards wanting peace with the Palestinians. There was another unstable coalition of Israeli parties, immune to any US prodding, always ready to pursue total victory over the Palestinians. The Palestinians knew this, so they were right to withhold their agreement to proposals that would ultimately be repudiated by another government seeking total victory. And now Netenyahu leads, total victory is the aim, and the sack of Gaza proceeds.

You are right of course. But what to do now?
Palestinians suffer, fight, and die for their rightful cause. Meanwhile, outsiders can usefully analyse and understand the ideology of Zionism.
So far, only a few comic artists on CZcams are beginning to present and satirise Zionism as a mesmerising ideology, seductive of Jews and Gentiles alike. But as the sack of Gaza proceeds, the mindless cruelty of Zionism alienates the essential support of outside "fellow travellers", and Zionism dies. (Think Solzhenitsin and Communism)
And with the death of Zionism, all Jews become liberated to pursue their eternal world-wide identity, free from a deadly ideology and the psychological mind games of hasbara. And Palestine is Free!

@doyle4349 The "sack of Gaza" began with Hamas in 2005... 🙄The Arabs of Judea, Samaria and Gaza just can't take Yes for an answer. Fact: Arabs who live in a place that used to be called 'Palestine' -- except the 2 million Arabs who live in peace, security and relative prosperity in Israel -- are actually all Jordanian citizens, which was the state created for those Arabs who did not want to live in Israel. Another fact: Most of the Arabs in the area were imported as labor in the 19th and 20th centuries CE, and when marauding Muslim Arabs arrived in the 6th century CE, they found Jews who had been there for 2000 years or more. Fact: When Jordan conquered East Jerusalem in 1948 -- after half-starving the Jewish population there -- they promptly expelled all the Jews. At the 2000 Camp David summit President Clinton brought Israeli PM Ehud Barak and Yasser Arafat together. Arafat was offered 95% of what the the Arabs of Judea, Samaria and Gaza supposedly wanted. Barak said later: ”Arafat didn't come to negotiate, he came to say no. Everything was no, no, no.” At one point, a frustrated Clinton slammed his fist on the table and said to Arafat: "You're condemning your people to a catastrophe!" And he had. When Arafat left the summit, he declared an Intifada that lasted three years and killed more than 3000 Arabs. The 'Palestinians' don't want peace, they don't want a two-state solution -- they don't want a two-state solution -- they want to destroy Israel and eradicate the Jews. In addition, they cause destabilization and violence wherever they go -- Jordan and Lebanon are proof of that. it is Arabs who are the occupiers and usurpers.

We constantly hear a negative answer from Hamas to Israel, regarding a proposal for a ceasefire. There is no progress, this is the sentence that is repeated. On the other side, the World (and also in the US unfortunately) there is criticism specifically of Israel, because of the situation of the residents of Gaza. A situation that, of course, stems from the conduct of Hamas, who is ready to sacrifice all the residents of Gaza, for his goal: the destruction of Israel.
The world must understand the meaning of Hamas's refusal to deal with hostages, they still stick, totally, to their only goal: the destruction of Israel. Therefore, there can be no progress, unless Israel goes towards Hamas, and agrees to commit suicide…
The world must understand that the things that are happening in Gaza, are exactly what Israel warned Hamas they would do, and were meant to signal to all of our enemies that this is what will happen to them, if they dare to commit the crimes they are planning against Israel.
There is no criminal intent on the part of Israel to harm civilians, but such an intent on the part of our enemies, who see this harm as their strongest weapon.
The rage that these images arouse in the world, against Israel, are the strongest weapon of our enemies, all of their hope that Israel will be destroyed. And indeed Israel's new holocaust, may actually happen not at the hands of its enemies, which Israel can do to them, but because of the world's anti-Semitism, which sees the Jews as the cause of all evil that exists in the world.

Izealis need to RECLAIM the identity of "Palestinin" as what it is, a REGIONAL identity that belongs to Hebrews the Yehudim and Samaritan, Druze and the majority of Pal Christians, but only a minority of the Mozlems, as 65% of their ancestors were NON indigenous foreigners from places like Egypt, Iraq, Bosnia, Albania, who colonized Pstine between 1850 and 1945. . Prior to 1948 every single Hebrew in Mandatory was just as much Palestinin as any Egyptian in Hevron. They and the Samaritan including many of their Christian counterparts, were the original Palestinins until the Aravah COLONIZED the region like they did 1/3 of the old world. If "Palestinin" is going to be used to refer to the "indigenous" population, and if that is going to mean anyone within the territory traditionally called "Pstine" since the 2nd century AD (syria Palestina), then every SINGLE Yizriyali (excuse the algoninjas, censors) is as Palestinin. And Yizriyale is in the territory of Pstine, the REGION. Which is ALL it ever was.
This is the only way to reform the identity of "Palestinin" which was APPROPRIATED by the Aravah in 1964 with the openly jean oh sidal PLO charter, and turned into an Aravah supremcist, Izlamofashist Nasi ideological movement masquerading as an ethnonational movement, created for the sole purpose of destroying the legally created sovereign nation of Yizriale, Yizriale, which is the single greatest INDIGENOUS DECOLONIZATION process in human history.
Zuheir Mohsen (1936 - 25 July 1979) was a Palestinian leader of the Syria-controlled as-Sa'iqa faction of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) between 1971 and 1979.
"The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct "Palestinian people" to oppose Zionism. For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan."

I was also wondering why she doesn’t mention this. It could be that she doesn’t want to admit to herself that Islam is at the core of the Muslim’s hatred of Israel. She still has hopes for peace, however slight. This would be impossible were she to come to terms with Islam. For she knows Islam is going nowhere. But I think she’s brilliant. Sorry it took her this long to embrace the perspective of other Israelis who have been maligned by the peacenics in Israel for always believing what she has come to see as a harsh reality: Arabs hate Jews and want them dead.

Fantastic Interview! Dan Senor delivers a masterful interview of Einat Wilf here, basically leading her through a reveal of what is in the book she co-wrote with Adi Schwartz, called “The War of Return”. He only interjects a few times, and only to define something she mentioned further; never derailing her train of thought. Even if you’ve already read the book, you will benefit from hearing what Anat has to say. If, like me, you’ve read the book after October 7th, this interview adds what could be considered, the current revision to the book that the authors have yet to publish.
Anat Wilf: you are a queen!

Its really eye-opening and at the same time opens one's heart to the muslim peoples of the world.♥♥♥

I hope Israel lays claim to the Gaza Strip. The IDF has won it fair and square and every city should be renamed, perhaps each hostage gets a city named in their honour. The world needs to recognise the impressive resilience of Israel and the Jewish people. For 76 years, the Arabs have refused the partition of land -- time has come for them to find new homes elsewhere. From the river to the sea, ISRAEL will be free. Sadly, this is the only way to PEACE.

Are the Palestinians guilty because they received the Jews after World War II... and gave them security and gave them food, drink and housing... and after that the Jews, with Britain’s help, occupy seventy-five percent of the land of Palestine and kill the Palestinians and expel them from their land. Is this justice... and recently a war? Genocide against them... Where is justice and human rights?

It's funny because that was the conclusion I reached after having listened to western educated, well-spoken Palestinian activists such as Rafeef Ziadah: When they talk about occupation and apartheid etc. they don't just mean the so-called occupied territories but the state of Israel proper; they are pushing their narrative of the zionists being foreign - Rafeef Ziadah even said in one of her spoken word pieces that "their gods [sic!] promised them our land" -, they say Israel is some kind of colonizer like the British or the French empires, completely ignoring basic facts of jewish immigration to Israel. And now they have dragged on that narrative for so long, they cannot let go of it, and any peace with Israel would seem like a betrayal and a failure to them. The only chance for peace would be if the Palestinians stopped nurturing their grudge and hatred against Israel, but I'm afraid this is not going to happen any time soon.

What a great talk! Dr Einat clarified so many issues. Just a couple of comments - my understanding of the reason behind Arab violence that started during the British mandate was the refusal of the Arabs to be ruled by infidels or non-Muslims. That they wanted to return to be part of the Syrian/palestine province under Moslem rule.
Also, I wish more had been made of the fact that the Palestine promised as the Jewish state included Jordan. The Palestinians were given a 2 state solution in 1937 or

So would I - I love the clarity of her explanations. I agree with you about those responsible for the incitement and I wonder if Dt Einat agrees that the bottom line, the reason the Arabs won’t tolerate a Jewish state is religious. They won’t tolerate a non- Muslim entity in what they consider to be theirs by right of having invaded and lived there for 409 yrs.

This is the most insightful analysis and, thankfully, a clear timeline of how we got to where we are today that I have ever seen on any political topic ever.
It was also marvelous to learn the legal definition of a refugee and how you can no longer be a refugee if you are living in a state that grants you citizenship and, also, you cannot be a refugee if you are the ones who started a war, lost, and are now running away after losing. Also, a refugee status is not something that can passed from generation to generation. Only people living in Palestine which includes Gaza and the West Bank have said that their own citizens are refugees. This is pure delusion.
There are many other amazing facts contained within this video. Such as the number of Palestinian claiming refugee status keeps growing because descendants are included. They are the only group of refugees who do this because it is not recognized as the legal way to do it anywhere else.
