Same. My grandfather served on B25 bombers. Survived 2 plane crashes on them. One of Norway. Another over the North Sea. If he had died I wouldn't be here. He was responsible for over a dozen bombing missions. Including the reich bridge in Germany. His 2nd plane crash everyone on board died but him. A French red cross ship pulled him from the sea. Those boys were only 18 years old when they were flying in those tin cans. Very cold. Alot of things would go wrong. Parts would freeze. I have his diaries somewhere. 2 purple hearts. He was responsible for over a dozen bombing missions. Including the reich bridge in Germany. His 2nd plane crash everyone on board died but him. A French red cross ship pulled him from the sea. Those boys were only 18 years old when they were flying in those tin cans. Very cold. Alot of things would go wrong. Parts would freeze. I have his diaries somewhere. 2 purple hearts. Very interesting

The information is a lot more detailed here, as it comes from eye-witnesses from those times. The basic story, however, remains the same. This documentary is an excellent compendium nevertheless.
