SGC 9.5 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle sold for $12.6 million last year making it the most valuable baseball card ever sold. T206 Honus Wagner held the previous record at $7.25 million.
Cardboard Connections has wood grain at 20 copies. Not bad at all.
If you go by condition, Wagners sell for about 20x a 1952 Mantle in the same condition. So a PSA/SGC 9/9.5 Wagner would break 200M. IF one was discovered. (But realistically a PSA 9 Wagner would probably sell for $50M
Don't think it had anything to do with Honus Wagner not wanting his cards to be in cigarette boxes as he often liked to smoke. Had mostly to do with him not being paid for his image.
I heard he smoked like a chimney but didn’t want the kids to start but not getting paid makes more sense
he didnt want people smoking 🎉🎉🎉. he knew it was to kill people
You have wrong information. Go back and do more research.
I wish I could get my hands on them. Love the art of them.
My favorite release of the year! High series should be coming out, soon! Please do a group break for it. 🙏
They make top loaders and sleeves for the mini cards.
I pulled a Interleague Back Bobby Witt, Image Variation Adley, Steven Kwan Wood Card, and a Tim Wakefield Autograph
Loved opening these packs.. only thing i don't like is having two parallels that are so close to each other.. blank back out of 10.. and missing black plate (not numbered just a parallel). If you glance real quick they look identical and i have noticed people selling them incorrectly on eBay so beware.
Brian Wilson mania running wild lol. I'd be interested if they were normal size cards
Wipe the slab with alcohol pad it removes thes evaporate instantly leaving no residue
Hi jabs, have a great day!
Cards are cool! A little throw back to the old days!
That first auto you pulled is a $350 card! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
That was all she wrote
yoshida is money
These are cool
I would understand the minis being a problem, but I kinda like 'em. It's different and fun. Thanks for the video Jabs! Always fun!! 🙏
Lot of hate to them.. don’t have many in my pc that are worth much. But always been one of my top favorites
Love that masataka yoshida rookie autograph
$350 card 🔥
Why the dislike over minis? Minis are at the heart of baseball card history i.e. the Honus Wagner. Mini size is as much baseball card as is regular size.
I normally dislike minis, but I actually really like these. I may be biased since one of my all-time favorite sets is 1911 t205 (gold border). I just love the old time, historical look of the cards and these have a fresh take on that. The Allen & Ginter minis are annoying (and extra small), but these cards have a real Americana/OG baseball vibe to them.
Yeah, the size of these cards has me mostly disinterested. I also have a dislike for back parallels cuz, like, you have to flip them over to know it's a parallel, lol.
Those two things aside, I actually kinda love these. Cool design, the front parallels are very fun (esp. fond of that wood grain, but even the gold border and opening day parallels are solid). It's the sort of set I'd enjoy completing if, like, they were normally sized. I hate the look of undersized cards in binders, lol. But I could see targeting some PC names on ebay-especially if they were slabbed to distract me from the size of the card, lol.

I think the wood card has 20 copies
Man I'd buy that wood Jim Kaat. I've been trying to find him
Wood grain SSP are to 20 copies!
What time is the auction at???
Erik said he'd show all the backs at the end of the video. OOPS! I was hoping to see if any super rare variant backs were pulled.
Nice
Another brutal Topps product.
The cards are actually beautiful, they should just release these exact images in regular size.
Wood grains last year were only 20 of each produced
they are close to same this year...I opened 3 n partner did same n no wood grains.. He totally didn't give the product its due, cause backs are important....I pulled Ohtani blank back with only 10 of each made.....it is not always about autographs
Where are these even available for purchase?
I just think it'd be cool to get the Honus Wagner and get it slabbed.
Hi
One day cards will be able to sort themselves
I thought that tobacco cards seemed neat until I had to actually deal with them. In my opinion they're just a pain.
Curious that packs are shaped like modern hard box cigarette packs, including flip-top front 🚬
100%
Hey Jabs, love you content! I was wondering,if you spent 5 grand, why not just get the Clemente rookie in a much higher grade! I collect vintage exclusivity,so I guess I’m biased!! You got some great cards, love seeing your videos, brighten up my day!
I like the way they look slabbed up, but in general I'm not a fan of the size.
W brian wilson . Wow
A guaranteed Fred Lynn in every pack, 😅!
Even tho I haven’t finished, I know it’s a great vid anywayd
I would’ve maybe bought one or two if people weren’t selling them for $70 on ebay 😂
I feel so ripped off after buying so many boxes of last years sets and not getting any autos 😂
😂
I’m glad I know now to stay away from 206.
Nice cards but not worth price point! Enjoyed the video!
I would not buy that product at all I would buy opening day before I bought that😂
I thought Topps was getting into making cigarettes with that box design choice.
Not a fan of these cards
I think these are cool if you collecting but the hobby has turned into people caring about profit
It's been that way since the 80s.
I seriously wouldn't give $10 for the whole set...good grief
bro is charlie brown
We seriously don’t care
Same, that’s always my gripe with the A&G minis too. These are awful.
Same, minis are not my thing
Why is there always someone acting like this? They’re baseball cards, relax
I've got sticker residue off a cd case. I would blow on it while using a kleenex to wipe it in circles till it was all gone
This is a 20 dollar product at best.
Oh my....not a fan at all, especially the size and print runs.
Back when I was really into ripping and collecting, the 206's I personally always though was one of the worst ideas. I know some like them and respect that choice.
That story about Wagner is a myth. If you collected the set you could turn them in for a free carton of cigarettes. The company obviously didn't want to give out too many free cartons, so they chose randomly to short print Wagner, Kind of like the Monopoly game at McDonald's. Wagner was essentially Boardwalk.
$70 a box, that would be a "NO". Typical Topps garbage autos. Get rid of the crap, make them harder to pull but make it someone thats not a "Who?".
That’s the worst auto checklist I have ever seen
More over-priced cardboard crack that isnt worth the paper its printed on
🤮
This stuff is garbage , all the base cards seem the same in most packs .
