Okay aside from the intense hatred i have for cheaters, he indirectly called us fat what? Five times? Even if he wasn't trying to hurt us and seems like he's trying to joke, its stupid stuff like that that can echo in a kid's mind for years. Especially when its repeated. I'm usually more of the opinion that a couple should receive counseling rather than splitting, but again he cheated and it sounds like he's not the most responsible.
