The hair looks cute from where i can see. But if the camera was closer to her head while you actually did the twist like it was when you parted the hair, it could gove us a better view. And a close up on the final look

Sometimes, but using the right hair gel or edge control and the proportions of hair used for twist
I have 4b hair and I usually gel down the whole part of my hair so it’s not fluffy

You don't have to and they just dip it in for water with braids so it wont get stiff

About 2 months . It gets messy for some, but not knotted
It normally depends on who does it but if you can take care of it it can last long

Is there a way to do this without so much gel? My natural hair doesn't really respond well to gel or could I use beeswax? Or something else?
i would not recommend beeswax it ruins your hair and breaks off i did box braids with my natural hair and it broke off as i was taking it down

so pretty but you look so rough on her head while parting. Since she have kinky hair I would not part it while her hair is in a pony tail. It get tangled and it really hurts.
