      You are two casual fans
      you don't know how bad David is a fighter

      Pasha 92 He's done nothing? He's a former two-weight world champion, you idiot, and he will probably go down as one of the best cruiserweight of all time. Stupid casuals... Smdh.

      Were you aware of the Enzo Maccarinelli, Mormeck and Monte Barret fights??? Why do people always remember the weaker performances.

      Yeah you’re spot on mate. Well put.

    • @mrb018538
      @mrb018538 Před 6 lety +3

      Mormeck was a great win for sure....maccarinelli was unbeaten, but has shown over his career he’s not world level, and monte Barrett was 37 and had been beaten 6 times before! The best wins of his career were fragomeni, mormeck, valuev and chisora.

    • @olally7270
      @olally7270 Před 6 lety

      mrb018538
      Yeah forgot about fragomeni. Don’t think the Chisora win was that good a win. As he’s only a mediocre boxer. Valuev was shite, just massive.

    • @mrb018538
      @mrb018538 Před 6 lety +1

      Mad For it Valuev was a big lump, but only lost 2/50 fights. Giving away 7 stone and 7” of height was still a good effort. Chisora is just a contender, been found out whenever he’s stepped up to world level.
      I can’t believe boxrec still have Haye ranked 19 in the world! Yikes!

    • @yasshan158
      @yasshan158 Před 6 lety +3

      The David Haye of 2008 would have put Tony Bellew to sleep and Bellew would admit that himself. That version of Haye would have beaten any cruiserweight of today.

  • @ij1749
    @ij1749 Před 6 lety +38

    David you’ve had an amazing career and provided us fans with some great nights to remember over the years. Coming off the canvas away in France to knockout Mormeck, defeating the giant in Valuev to become WBA champ and destroying the durable Chisora at upton park. As one of only two men in history to unify the cruiserweight division and then move up to become heavyweight champion of the world, your legacy is cemented. But all good things must come to an end and the rematch showed us that age, injuries and inactivity have taken it’s toll and you are no longer the fighter you once were. In all honesty it was sad as a fan of yours to witness a British boxing icon lose in such a manner. The speed, fast reflexes and explosive power that once made you so successful and exciting to watch aren’t there anymore. With Joe Joyce winning the commonwealth title you now have a new exciting chapter of your life as a promoter to look forward to and I hope you call time on your days as a fighter.

    One of my favourite boxers to watch when at his ultimate best. The right hand that landed on Enzo mac was beautiful and cannot forget that night in Germany when he became the WBA Heavyweight Champion. It’s just sad that his career has pretty much come to an end in the way that it has. However, he will go down as one of best fighters to come out of the UK. All the best for the future Mr Haye 👍👍

Time to rest and go onto the next chapter in your life. Best wishes

    Great ring walk music - phenomenal knock out power and even though he was on the slide and lost to Bellew twice I actually gained more respect the way he kept battling on particularly in their first encounter.

    Should never have gotten in the ring if he wasn’t in fighting shape and it was clear he wasn’t. But he still took our money for his pension pot! I wanted to see him knock out Bellew and wipe that smirk off his face but it was clear from the end of the first round it wasn’t going to happen.
