I just got accepted into the MS-MIS online program at A&M for fall 2024. I graduate with my bachelors in August in cybersecurity and I’ve taken python and java, but I don’t particularly like coding. I also just got an internship for RTX/Raytheon technologies as a cyber defense analyst. In your video, you mentioned you can alter the classes you want to take, would I be able to do that at A&M?

If this is a Business degree which it is then why are there the prerequisites of coding? I'm mostly covered I've had one Java course, one web dev, I will be having two SQL classes the rest is things like microeconomics, accounting etc. I took it upon myself too learn the basics of Java(even learned some of the more advanced things.) as a elective. Though this was all by my own intuitive. So why did my community college do that?

Hey Namitha, what are your views on Fall 2021 admits, could you make a video on that. Context - all of my friends are saying getting a job after MIS is tough as compared to MS in CS, and now since Fall 20 students have deferred their applications by a year, getting a job would be all the more tougher (2x competition) if one goes for MIS where there was already a kind of scarcity. Your views on this

    • @NamithaSreenatha

Hey Anirudh, jobs for any domain is competitive. IMO, CS as well as MIS students face the same struggles and go through similar stages while searching for a job in the US. I would suggest looking into studies/reliable predictions currently being done on when and how the economy will improve to make your master's decisions. Good luck!

Hi Yugal, difficulty levels are up to you for judgement. EC ( I am assuming is the same/similar to E&TC) is one of the common backgrounds that MIS grads come from. I suggest you evaluate your coding capacities, and see where you stand. Good luck, and thank you for watching!
