One suggestion I saw is just like how gilding a title changes the colour to gold, let flawlessing a particular raid change the title colour to green or something.
I think Godslayer is the second highest claimed raid title because it was limited time AND wasn't the same type of grind as every other raid title (subclass stuff and master challenges), people don't wanna do the same grind for a title that they don't find cool
100%. i have friends who keep saying its the hardest raid title to get but next to descendant i think its the easiest. no master challenges clas/subclass runs etc. it was very easy to get lol
I think Shadow also merits some extra points because if I am not mistaken, it is the only raid title that actually gets its own specific "veteran" dialogue in the game if you have it. Calus calling me "Shadow" at the Lightfall intro was pretty cool to hear.

That’s basically a Destiny 2 theme for everything in the game. Heavy grind for guns like Not Forgotten? Sunset and replaced. Heavy grind for raid exotics? Buy them at a kiosk. Heavy grind for raid craftables? Wait for wish tokens. Alloys are difficult to obtain? The Coil exists now. And outside of that inevitable reduced grind: there’s new/better perks, new/better weapons, enhanceable perks, craftable/customizable weapons, buffed exotics, overpowered artifact mods, new subclasses, revised subclasses, etc, etc; which create a huge power creep anyway. If you wait long enough, the difficulty of anything is near halved…I’m simply not impressed by titles, adept weapons, exclusive shaders, solo flawless emblems, etc, anymore. Chances are they did the thing once it became really easy to do.
It’s honestly really cool to see the perspective of people at the higher levels on these things. As someone who can’t even get my first clears of several raids (shoutout to the lfg hell of non-kwtd/sherpa runs for older content), it is very interesting to see the difference in priorities (unique titles, extra challenge, etc.) that comes with expertise. Swordbearer/anything from crota just grew on me. It being the rarest raid title is good enough for me as the best title (I am not including iconoclast as rarest, 6k in a week? It’s gonna grow in numbers much more than crota in a while)
Mine rotate between Fatebreaker, Disciple-Slayer, Swordbearer, and Kingslayer. I was upset to not get Godslayer, but considering how often you can end up seeing it in a day, it felt less special to me after the matter of fact. I also can't keep Godslayer high because it didn't feel new as much as the encounters felt refreshed even if in small ways such as Golgoroth or Caretaker.
I’m keeping my Discerptor title on forever because I did the solo BEFORE the physics changes. Godslayer is cool, but once you see most people with it on, it’s a lot less badass and exclusive.

You could get slammed against a wall and instantly killed by shadows of gahlran, Gladiators, Incendiaries, Falanges and even the gahlran boss itself. If you did not get killed by those things (most likely) you just got lucky and didn’t knew it.
@@snickerdoge4903 it's not luck to manage your health and positioning to not die to the architect. Or knowing to use sword swipes, melee magnetism and phoenix/shatter dives to save yourself. Mitigating physics deaths was well known before the dungeon came out. The real luck came from not randomly dying to the world swap from the broken bell mechanic.

I mostly agree except Shadow is always my #1 because of the flawless heroic Menagerie requirements on three separate bosses; that was no joke back then and I don't think anything else has required multiple flawless completions in the same title(?)
I do not miss raids requiring the flawless. Having to depend on five other people to not die in an hour long activity kind of sucks because at that point, it doesn’t really depend on your knowledge of the raid. Sure it matters that you know what to do, but I find it very tedious and annoying to try to find five other people I trust to spend the time on attempts. I have done a couple trio flawless raids but I do not want to do everything that way. Very glad I don’t have to waste hours upon hours going through a dozen different teams worth of attempts.
honestly godslayer feels more common than dredgens to me nowadays and that’s a shame because I also agree that it’s the best title in destiny. I was 1 triumph off from getting shadow back in the day which is my favourite title in the entire game from my favourite era in destiny 2 and since then we haven’t gotten a title that has as much aura as shadow, untill godslayer. Just wish that there weren’t any cheeses because it would’ve made it more prestigious but atleast I got iconoclast which is definitely the hardest current raid title to get maybe alongside swordbearer. Rivensbane and kingslayer will always be my 2 favourite raid specific titles and it only has me hyped to see what they think of for wrath of the machine (if it ever returns which I pray each and every day they do lol)

Iconoclast, rivensbane, and enlightened are the only raid titles I do not have therefore I few those as better. I view rivensbane as the best and hardest title simply because it litterally requires a flawless completion which enlightened used to but doesn’t anymore for some weird reason
Am I the only one that thinks titles ending in stuff like ‘slayer’ ‘breaker’ etc, basically anything ending in -er, sound kinda basic and generic? I MUCH prefer names like enlightened, descendant, blacksmith, rivensbane etc

I mean it was really only one boss but I do agree that it was easier mainly because the only requirements to get it were that you had to get a 2 phase for all bosses

You don’t have to really do anything you wouldn’t do in a normal run except 2 phase which wasn’t hard with surges Edit: I think they should have had us do the weekly challenge for all of them aswell, I think that could’ve added some more challenges

Every time I did SE I asked my team if we can do some challenges and every time everyone said it’s the worst title in the game and rightfully so

You making the normal solo seem really difficult. I also done the solo before the physics change flawlessly and it wasn’t that hard.

Most people who use it are pretty bad at the game funnily enough. I know if I see a guardian rank 11 godslayer on my team that my back is gonna hurt.
