I can't understand that homeschooled thing... That is forbidden in my country, all parents have to send their children to school, primary and secondary education are mandatory and free, but homeschooling, that is forbidden. How can one parent know all and teach his children stuff that 15 different specialized teachers were teaching me? And 2 things are strictly forbidden in our schools, drugs and religion. I guess because both have the same effect on the brain and the ability for rational thinking.

@@femmeone8831 I think we have a good educational system. The other important thing is that bullying, real bullying is not a thing, teachers and parents are really strict and care about such things not to happen. And it is totally free, when a pupil goes to school all is paid for his/her books, computer, things that are needed for certain classes, food, and transportation.

May I know country are you at? Only a few countries have home-schooling options. The parents get the books, test manuals, some still follow a guided syllabus. I’ve known of some home-schooled students that need to go in for periodic testing. I think the main thing that is missing in homeschooling is the development of socialization skills and learning how to deal with different people, different behaviors. A lot of home-schooled kids do come out okay, of course.

@@jessajimenez6646 And yes, that too, that is a very important aspect in the development of the kid's psyche, social perception, socialization.

I understand. I’ve heard of some countries in Europe that do provide free education in all levels, I find it very admirable, and wish it is done in more counries. For decades, I have often thought why does a country as huge and capable as the US do not provide free education for their citizens. I’ve asked some citizens before and they said the country is for freemen who are not afraid to work and pay for their education , that they work hard to pay for what they would deserve. Still, there are many young and old American who are in student debts while the country donate assistance to numerous countries. There is also the student loan forgiveness, and some Americans who have paid their own also protest against the unfairness of that. Society is complex.
