    At your 10 minute mark becomes very challenging to get through and has flavours of maybe Cowboy Junkies.
    This whole lesson is great Nico.
    Also I tried picking more all over from bridge to neck like you were in the video here.
    I have been mostly just working one patch of area between neck and bridge pickups, there’s some great tone all over that real estate right up to the bridge and even behind it.
    My fingerpicking ☝️ is improving!
    Thanks again.

      Nico made the sensible decision and acquired a 6120RHH a long time ago. I’m always amazed I don’t see more people slinging those, best 6120 there is in my humble opinion and one of my most prized possessions.

      @@CC-qb9sm Wondering if you could help me decide on a new guitar? Was looking at the GRETSCH G6120T-BSSMK BRIAN SETZER SIGNATURE NASHVILLE '59 "SMOKE" and then see you mentioning here about the GRETSCH G6120RHH REVEREND HORTON HEAT SIGNATURE G6120 HOLLOW BODY W/BIGSBY and since I am new to this, what are the differences between the two and why may the 6120RHH be the better of the two?

    • @CC-qb9sm
      @CC-qb9sm Před 3 lety

      @@ericjames7680 - hey Eric! That Setzer fiddle looks great too! I’m no expert on that one, not real certain how the pickups would sound compared to the TV Jones Classics that are on the Rev guitar. I will say that I love the pickups that are on the RHH, I really dig the feel of the Bigsby and arm for the Bigsby, and aesthetically the RHH really resonates with me as well (Love the cowboy theme of the headstock and fret markers for example). The RHH seems to combine elements of a few great Gretsch guitars. Both models have locking tuners which is a huge plus. I would suggest trying both out if you can but I’m guessing the odds of you having a store nearby that have both are pretty small, that’s definitely true for me. My personal opinion is that if you’re only going to own one 6120 the RHH should definitely be considered but again that Setzer model looks like it would likely be great too. I don’t know if any of that helps, but good luck with your research!

    • @ericjames7680
      @ericjames7680 Před 3 lety

      @@CC-qb9sm I am trying to decide if the Setzer model with a compound radius of 9.5'' to 12'' will do or as Nico uses the RHH and other GRETSCH models with 12'' radius if that would be a better choice? I think I like the RHH MODEL the best. Sure appreciate your help, Thanks!!

    • @CC-qb9sm
      @CC-qb9sm Před 3 lety +1

      @@ericjames7680 - I don’t think you can answer the question on the radius without playing both, the necks will feel more different closer to the headstock and more similar closer to the body I believe. Only you will know which one feels best for you 😉. Happy shopping to you!
