  • Mini bikes have always been associated with beginner-friendly status, great efficiency and joy riding. What can be better than popping wheelies on Honda Monkey or Grom-sized bikes? Moreover, these have proven to be amazing city commuting vehicles, as they are perfect for cutting through the busy streets or near-by dirt trails and have tons of fun while doing so.
    Just like any type of modern transport, mini or, how they are sometimes called, pit bikes, are going through the next stage of evolution and are being re-designed and re-invented by EV manufacturers. Some support this zero-emission shift and speculate that mini motorcycles with battery-electric powertrains are better than regular ones, since they are lighter, have loads of instantaneous torque and are packed with innovative sensors and features.
    Our channel is dedicated to reviewing the latest news from the e-mobility industry, so today we'd like to showcase the newest representatives of the class of electric mini bikes.
    Before we continue, don't forget to follow our EV playlist: • Electric motorcycles, ...
    In today's video we are making an overview of some of the most interesting lightweight e-motorcycles that are good for both urban riding and hitting the offroad.
    In the presentation we tried to include the most important information about these newcomers and shared their weight, motor power and torque parameters, types of suspensions and main smart features that you can rely on during your daily rides. Some of these models are going on sale in 2023, while some are scheduled to be shipped to riders only in 2024.

    Could these mini bikes ever become worthy alternatives to Grom-sized motorcycles? Share your thoughts below!

    • @kevinsellsit5584

      No. They are twice the price and do not offer the freedom of range gas bike does.
      Lots of fun, just *NOT* a "worthy alternative". These are something entirely different than a Grom or other gas bike.

      @Neilukuk Před rokem

      @@kevinsellsit5584 Depends on what you're using them for and how far you're riding them. As long as you're not going a long way on e bikes, they can be a great alternative. I guess it depends what you like but petrol ones beat them on range.

      @@Neilukuk Don't get me wrong, I love light electric vehicles. Electric stand up scooters (that will do wheelies all day long) are my favorite. I just don't think they offer the feedom that a gas bike does. A 200 mile day trip is a sporty adventure on a grom, but not likely on most if any electric.
      That being said, I have an FJ1200 for my long rides, and a V65 Magna for local stuff (the V65 has s#!t for range).
      And yes, I'm old school lol.

      @@kevinsellsit5584 Hopefully range will improve in time but I don't have much faith that it will improve a lot more. I don't have a driving license so electric is brilliant for riding around local area and going on short rides. I get around 30 miles on my bike and around 9 miles on scooter. It is a completely different experience riding an electric bike or scooter and I love it. I hope you have a nice weekend and take care.

    When bikes get this fast it requires wearing protective gear as you would on a motorcycle, destroying it's convenience. A motorcycle will run circles around these. No thanks, a 28mph bicycle is good enough and I can still ride it on the bike paths.

      George, I'm a long time dirt rider. I rode a modded Sur Ron last week. Trust me, it will beat a modern 250. I'm seriously considering the Sting MX4 and an extra battery. As much as I'm proud of the many years of riding that built my skill for finessing long hillclimbs, and changing gears at the exact microsecond needed to navigate a nasty trail, there were SO many things about the E-bike that were wonderful. No noise, no gears(!) just focus on cornering better, no gas, no starting, NO service!!! Ya. I can't help but think this is truly the next step in dirt bike evolution.
