#legostarwars #starwars #legostarwars2024 - Krátké a kreslené filmy
I love the controversy over Rex. I’m so excited to finish my 501st army with him and it’s a real skill issue if people paid $900AUD for a ucs set just to get a single mini figure.
not against rex being in a cheaper set but why are you against the fans that were deceived by lego?
@@bakfnegw2694agreed. On one hand I feel ZERO pity for scalpers and people who spent $600 just for Rex…but LEGO did say the Rex figure would be unique.
I wonder if they’re going to be lazy and just use a different head/face.
For real like ITS A LEGO MINIFIGURE it’s not that deep
It’s not that people paid $650 for a minifigure. They paid for a $650 LEGO set that was said to have an exclusive version of Rex, which is a very nice incentive for buying a $650 LEGO set. Knowing the figures are exclusive (because they said they were) helps swallow the huge price tag of that set a little bit.
@@bakfnegw2694that’s what im saying why does the community gotta be so divided for no good reason and I don’t see any investors or die hard collectors hating back everyone is just dissing them when they don’t even bother anyone 🤷🏻♂️
Lego investors are killing this hobby. I don’t like walking into a store and seeing nothing on the shelves because some ahole bought every set on the shelf to hang onto to for 5 years to make $100 profit off of thrm (really bad ROI there are much better options to invest in than childrens toys) . It’ll kill the life of the product in the long term, if kids can’t get lego sets, then there will be no new fans, no new fans means less demand meaning lower sales which will eventually lead to no more lego. Which is why the Rex Microfighter having the same minifig as the Venator will hopefully cause resellers and investors to think twice before buying these sets to scalp.
Less incentive to invest = the best outcome for real lego fans
Well Lego investing is often insanely great in terms of ROI
Why don't you just buy online? I've never had a problem finding the sets I want
@@grotty9850 some people like getting things in their hands when they buy it... Also maybe he pays with cash... Either way investors are ruining the hobby to a degree
good take I hate these resellers as well I feel like anybody who has a complaint about rex coming in a micro fighter are the problem
Say it louder to this channel 😂
My Christmas list so long:
- Jedi Bob’s Starfighter
- Battle on Peridia
- Dark Millennium Falcon
- Star Destroyer
Total: Way to much
😂❤
To me, cheap sets I want, like the jedi Bob set, I'll buy it, but the big sets are gonna be my gifts for Christmas and my birthday.

Dark Millennium Falcon is based off the sequels with Rey 🤢
@@user-ft6vu4gk2p but to Counter, we get Lord Jar Jar
I have no evidence for this, but it’d be cool if the “buildable creature” is actually the three arena monsters from Episode II. That could explain why there’s so many pieces
That would be awesome
Hopefully it would be but I think there’s a good chance of getting the arena set for the 25th anniversary of attack of the clones
people complaining about the rex from the venator being the same as the microfighter should still be happy. they still have admiral yularen (once again an exclusive) and probably the best ucs set in the last 5 - 10 years for a lot of people. that’s just MY opinion but i wouldn’t be that mad if i were the venator people
I’m not mad because I bought the venator for the build I just simultaneously like the idea of collecting exclusive figures so i wish the one in the Microfighter was different
@@fivelonelyclones Is it right to price out other people that also want to collect MFs?
@@fivelonelyclonesAnd I would argue that one in Venetor should have been different. Battle damage or something.
Lego went about it the wrong way, but version in micro fighter ABSOLUTELY belongs in there
With what LEGO has done with Rex, who is to say they now won't do the same with yularen or any other "exclusive" figure? That is the problem I think.
@@jtiggy3768 exclusivity in figures aren't a lego selling point for UCS, and giving how much rex is popular and since it was at least 5 years overdue, seing it in a smaller set was kinda obvious anyways. In all fairness, it's been done plenty of times before, I don't get why people get mad now, as if the value was only in the figure. Give it 5 years and the venator will hit the 1k+range on secondary market, as most set do anyways.
I got the figure in the venator, was absolutely found of it, and now that other people get to enjoy it at a very little pricepoint, I think that it's amazing. I might even pick the smaller one up just to have it twice, just in case.
Also, I bet that Yularen will keep it's exclusivity in the long run. I can't think of a set in which it would be a fitting character, except maybe a venator playset.
Finally, it is much cheaper to print the same figure than to design another one. I don't think that microfighter and mechs are the good place for such things to happen.
People only care about the Rex issue coz they are scalpers lmao, they don’t enjoy Lego for the Lego they just want to make a buck. So glad that it’s the same Rex coz it’s great to see scalpers crying
I don’t really care why people buy Lego I just want the whole community to get what they want and scalpers don’t really effect anyone despite popular belief there’s never a shortage of any lego set unless it’s super exclusive like the clone minifigure pack lol
There’s not really “scalpers” in Lego, practically every lego set is available for 1.5-2 years minimum for retail price. Wild to me that people can’t comprehend that even normal customers would want their advertised as exclusive thing to be exclusive.
@@fivelonelyclones yeah no man every 20-40 sets a scalper buys is 20-40 sets a kid or even an actual collector who would actually use it, I can get the whole lying about the figure but dont defend scumbags who price gouge it ruins any and all hobbies around collection.
The female mandalorian isn't Koska Reeves, it's just a generic nite owl.

@@fivelonelyclonesthey do it for MONEY
That will be my ninth as I’m getting four mandolore ambush sets

“Investors”, I so hate it when that term is used. Lego is not for investors, if you want to invest in Lego it’s a risk business just like any other investment. The figure was never promised to be exclusive forever, it was at the time, and it’s no more. Stop the moaning about it. This figure being released in a €12 set is the perfect way for Lego to go.
Also, you’re wrong in stating “LEGOinvestors” are part of the community. They are not.
Every hobby is up for investors.
BUT... The nature of investing is unpredictable risk.
Also, they are indeed not a part of community. You can be part of community AND be investor, but being part of community requires more than JUST buying sets. You want to build them or use for MOCs, you should actually want affordable options...
Not hope that Lego will never release more sets with one fig in that one set you have twenty of, so it can rocket up in price once it retires.
Young Leia is a complete waste of a 25th anniversary figure. Could’ve gone for Echo, 99, or even Boushh. Literally anything that’s actually cool and desirable
Imagine the creature is Zillo Beast w/ clone commando and TK Trooper figs. That'd be so cool!
Edit: this is just a dream 😅
We can dream big ! (Lego sw fans are delusional)
We better get some bad batch season 3 lego sets its a crime for not getting more than just a few of them from season 1
Im smelling a slight defense of lego investors
Not slight, very strong. But I also defended collectors like myself and the people that just want Rex bud
@@fivelonelyclones Oh. Well, I'm gonna be blunt and honest, I don't like lego investors. They're very harmful to the lego market.
@@Chris_Elric They're not harmful at all they give us the opportunity to easily access retired sets. There's literally still 501st battle packs on bricklink for under retail and it retired well over a year ago
@@fivelonelyclones those arent lego investors though thats people just selling their sets they're either done with or impulse bought and realised they didnt want, investors legitimately sit on their "investments" for years and years before flipping them for 2-4 times the cost.
@@fivelonelycloneseasily? By buying in Bulks and selling them after being retired for 3/4 x of the original? They're the same greedy ones like the scalpers of matchbox and hot wheels. Only thing they care is making profit not giving a single fart about the stuff they buy.
Curious what difference in the Rex figure you'd want to see... Because if Lego did improve Rex, the Venator owners probably wouldn't like that either seeing a better figure more easily available.
They could’ve fixed the ammo pouch on his torso or made the pauldron smaller
Exactly, improving the figure would make situation worse, damaging the figure by taking away the details would just end up with investors praising Lego for laziness.
You can't win here. Lego screw up by calling minifigs exclusive in instructions, yes.
But Rex shouldn't be locked behind 650$ purchase, ever.
@@nihili4196Again, available characters exclusive figures. I agree Rex should not be locked behind a pay wall idk how many times I gotta say that. But I think it shoulda been different. I personally wouldn’t have minded if it was improved in this Microfighter, but I think the best option would’ve just been removing the arm printing
The exclusivity of Rex wasn't promised though, them saying something is exclusive at the time has happened plenty of times before. Exclusive has never meant "will not come out in a new set"
Show me where it says “at the time”.
‘Exclusive’ literally means what you said it’s “never meant”.
@@AbsolutelyNotFakeJediBob they've said it before for the original stormtrooper. So yeah
@@AbsolutelyNotFakeJediBob show me where it says "forever" you can't. Idek why you all care so much for Lego investors. They exist to get people in the community later on nostalgia. Why should Lego care? It doesn't make any sense. You're upset about not getting more resale value out of a child's toy
@@theamericanpotatonamedphil4306 do you not understand the basic definition of the word, “exclusive”? If they’d said “at the time”, that’s one thing. But they didn’t. When LEGO goes out of their way to say something is exclusive then guess what… it means exclusive.
Also, it’s hilarious that you’re calling a $650 18+ Collector’s Edition model set a “children’s toy”. LEGO literally says it’s not.
@@AbsolutelyNotFakeJediBob yes they're playing off the adults that still want the kids toys. And they have a history of saying something is exclusive when it releases, but that's not a promise they won't release it later. Again, the original stormtrooper was the same exact way. The last thing anyone should care about with recycled plastic is resale value.

Yes
The Advent calendar was also revealed and it includes the third praetorian guard
I mentioned it in the video
It's one thing to be bummed that your minifigure isn't worth as much as it used to be, but actually wanting a toy company to cater to investors/scalpers/resellers is genuinely stupid, and a sign that your head is way too deep into the game. These are toys, just be happy you have cool toys and have fun.
I don’t care about the value im not a reseller. I just like collecting exclusive figs I said that in the video bro but I also spoke for resellers and the people that just want Rex too
I love the Lego resell community (I frequently purchase old/rare figs) however the idea that there should be some reliability from Lego to ensure that “investors” in a 2 inch plastic figure are able to turn a profit is rather ridiculous to me. I think the casino that LSW figures become recently is absurd and simply results in people buying every set on the shelf just to resell/creates unnecessary animosity towards the idea of people getting desirable figures without dropping hundreds of dollars.
13:14 - There's your third Praetorian guard. It looks so out of place in that lineup. Almost like Lego said "We could've given you a third praetorian guard in the Moff Gideon set, but we didn't."
You cannot convince me you bought a $700 set for a captain rex minifig that even at the time was rumoured by reliable sources not to be the only set to include him
I didn’t im not a reseller I bought it for the build I think it’s a top 3 ucs set of all time and it’s easily my favorite set in my collection
I think that the zilo beast is more possible after its appearance in bad batch
The "Star Wars Celebration" set having 3 Stormtroopers and 3 Rebel troopers makes me think it'll be some kind of Empire vs Rebels battlepack. Might be similar to the clones vs droids battlepack that came out a few months ago.
I know a lot of people are hoping for a Zillo Beast as the buildable creature, and if that is the case I’ll probably still get it, but personally what I’m hoping for is a Krayt Dragon (and hopefully lots of Tuskens to go along with it)🤞
Krayt dragon would be so awesome
Eh, the only reason most people are making fun of investors is due to massive meltdown they had when rumors first leaked.
Also, investors begging for minifig to not have arm printing was really bad precedent for Lego. We as community should expect Lego to give us more with minifigs, not less. On one hand we're asking them to put arm printing on regular clones, but then microfighter Rex should come with plain arms just to preserve exclusivity?
I think when they put exclusive in the instructions, they meant it was exclusive at the time the set released. Pretty scummy, but I think that’s their logic. Exclusive when the set released, but may come out in future sets.
Luke's mech would've been more desirable if it was a less common Luke minifig like Bespin Luke.
I like the star destroyer its affordable good size to display and really nice minifigs. Its the perfect set for people who doesn't have the space to display I bought the ROS millnium falcon since its too hard to display the ucs one and its really expensive.
What a lovely thumbnail
Thanks man!😃
Do you think that this year’s holiday employee gift set (4002024) would be the another Star Wars holiday set like with 4002019 Christmas X-Wing to celebrate the theme’s anniversary. That is something I am keeping my eyes on.👀
Honestly I have no idea man
Im glad the rex is in this microfighter, if you look, rex wasnt named as the exclusive, yularen was the exclusive figure in that set
Love your vids man
Nean Nunb's torso can be used to make rebel friend
I think the Y-Wing microfighter is a pretty solid looking build. The stud shooters are well integrated (for a microfighter) and I like the color scheme.
This has the possibility to be my favorite Lego Star Wars years in a long time
Lego investing is aight in my book because there isnt really a limit on the supply, when sets are available for sale by retailers, the bottleneck is money, not supply, it doesnt sell out instantly, meaning any john doe can pick some up, more investors means more supply meaning it's less expensive than if there where no investors, I start to have issues with investors that corner the market, notably on the 2014-18 stormtrooper minifigs, there are 2-3 sellers on bricklink that have like 80% of the supply and sell them for like a 50% markup from the average
I thought the buildable creature was gonna be a rancor, but with that piece count it might actually be the Zillo beast. One can only dream
Bro you are treating the leeching investors as if there an actual part of the community that have been here from the start, its actually kind of wonderful that so many people in this community can all come together and have a common enemy
Lego technically made their own canon Uglies called Z-Wings in Freemaker Adventures
this was great, instant resub!
Investors being upset at the Mircro Fighter Rex being the same as in the UCS Venator reeks of entitlement. Lego doesn’t really owe them anything they can do whatever they want it’s their brand after all. These people don’t seem to realise that investing always carries an inherent risk and profit is not guaranteed. Lego investment carries less risk than most other forms of investment but it’s still present. They made a gamble and lost, simple as that. I couldn’t really care less that people who bought 10 copies of the UCS Venator now can’t resell this small plastic figure for 800 dollars in a few years. I miss the days before Lego investment got big. Back when people wanted to get these rare figures that are coveted today because they were awesome figures instead of a profit incentive.
Yeah, that's the nature of investing. People expect easy profit because Lego is often predictable. But this time Lego went really pro consumer.
I understand why people are upset, and I agree that they shouldn't call him exclusive in instructions....
But no one bought Venator because of what was written in Instructions.
Nowhere else he was called exclusive.
in the mando battle pack one of them isn’t koshka reaves they’re both unnamed army builders
I’m definitely getting those two mandalorian sets
Now i have a dilemma with captain rex. Im eventually gonna buy the UCS venator, cuz it's an awesome set, but do I buy the captain rex micrfighter in the meantime or do i wait until i get a venator in a couple of months
What if the creature build is the sarlac, which sourround environment that fits perfectly with the two upcoming sets of the scene?
Buildable rancor would be cool
The UCS captain rex really should’ve came with the cloth skirt and cloth pauldron, and then the less expensive figure has the printed skirt instead
If that c3po is all chrome its gonna be crazy
crazy expensive, yes
Lol I loved the part where you started whining for resellers about the captain Rex part. Your tears bring me joy

Exclusive figures, available characters is the best way to put it
I like the Mech's they made. It reminds me of a throwback to exoforce but with one of my favorite lego sets.
Young leia is confirmed to be an anniversary figure. On lego's official website they updated it to 7 anniversary figures and theres a hint for leia i forget what it is.
It's hint is "alderaan guesses"
This Rex controversy to me only proves that UCS sets should not include figs at all. Noone gets left out and noone cries, when Lego makes a figure more accessible. A fair solution in my opinion. Buy those sets for the builds only. Figs are usually not the right scale anyway, so they just stand there awkwardly
Im hoping we at least will get the CIS Hover tank before the end of the year
Let’s be honest that Vader figure is going to be going for a lot of money
All the figures in the set probably will
True
I agree with you on the captain Rex, mini figure
The buildable creature could be the gaint worm that ate the falcon
Yularen is still exclusive to the venator. But he's not as valuable a character
Yeah he is but I’m not a reseller so I don’t really care about value I do think the value growths of sets and figures tho is cool and interesting
Lego seems to really suck at math when it comes to praetorians in their sets. They did this with the sequel trilogy sets too...
If the buildable creature really does come with a young Leia, like from Kenobi, I bet that it is the Lola bot.
IM CALLING IT RIGHT NOW, THE ‘BUILDABLE CREATURE’ WILL BE THE ZILLOW BEAST AND WE WILL FINALLY GET ANOTHER BAD BATCH SET!

Millennium Falcon sets are the most overrated sets ever, they just look like any other boring ship in Star Wars like Lego should have made something else like there are a BUNCH of characters we never got to see in lego form and it would also be pretty nice if we got updated versions of old retired Lego minifigs like Commander Woffle in the updated P2 form based on The Bad Batch for example.

Rex was exclusive when the set was released. If you buy a 800$ set for a figure that's on you.
If you still haven't learned that's how it works, that's also on you.
You don't want to have "different minifigures", you want other people not to have them.
You'd have been ok if the cheap Rex was better? YEAH, RIGHT 😂
Also there's a difference between investors and speculators.
Well first off I bought it for the set I’m not a reseller I just wanted the venator build but I simultaneously like collecting exclusive figures just not as much as the sets obviously. And second I think it’s stupid that according to the community lego has to clarify exclusive “forever” or “for the time” when they should’ve just not said it’s exclusive there’s no way to justify them lying 😂

Do you recall people being happy the 50$ Mace Windu being cooler than the UCS LAAT one, despite them being technically different?
You wanted the cheap one to be worse. Be honest.
@@8Smoker8well again I didn’t buy it for the Rex I just enjoy collecting exclusive figs at the same time good or bad it’s just a collecting mindset. And yeah I know making it better is definitely just a personal thing with me I doubt many other people if anyone would like that. Realistically the best option for everyone would’ve just been removing the arm printing. Also Rex is such a popular character lego just needs to give him the boba fett treatment and constantly make him in different versions some rare some common
3:35 Let's be honest, nobody actually cares about if it would "benefit investors". Most people buy sets to enjoy them and not to benefit off overpriced aftermarket prices. Is it "scummy" that Lego said it would be exclusive and changed their mind? Probably. But they could've just done the same things in 2 years and not even bothered to hand out 60$ gift cards.
No I don't think it's "ridiculous" at all when one side "benefits over the other". If anything, the idea that "one side benefits over the other" is the actually ridiculous statement. You spent 650$ and got the Venator you wanted, there is zero "disbenefit" in comparison to someone who spent 15$ on a set and happened to get the same minifig you did.
The fact that people are completely skipping over Yularen still being exclusive kinda tells me that people are just pissed their favorite clone they spent 650$ for is now available for a fraction of a price. And to those people I feel no pity. Skill issue tbh.
If anything, I would argue that one side will always loose.
Investors win when sets they have contain something that's rare or sought after. And more often than not bricklinking parts is cheaper than buying builds themselves once they reach price points Investors want. So sets usually get pricey due to minifigs inside, and if Lego release a minifig in only one set, then Investors are happy, but potential buyers later down the line won't be.
Old SW sets reach ridiculous prices in large part due to investors constantly driving prices up and up. I can assure you that if Lego made another Tactical droid today, but made it EXACTLY the same way as old one looked like, people would loose their minds.
Investors inherently are hoping for Lego to use anti consumer tactics.
And no, they're not needed to keep pool of sets on market alive. You can find pretty much any set that isn't some weird, promotional bundle of sets online easily.
@@nihili4196 Precisely. "Investors" (which just sounds like a fancy word for scalpers) are betting on Lego making anti consumer decisions for profit, which in turn gives the scalpers more opportunities for personal profit. There are many sets from my childhood that I'm completely incapable of buying just because they contain the most random minifig that happens to be exclusive. That is not a healthy market.
I find it incredibly "ridiculous" to even consider feeling sad for scalpers after this thing. Unless you are one yourself.
I LOVE It
People shoulda just bought the venator for the venator lol
