Hey gang! I wanted to let you know that I posted this song to honor my friend. Which is why half if not more of the proceeds will be going to the Colon Cancer Coalition.
Billy sang for this song over a year ago, and I kept putting off doing it because I wasn't happy with my portion of the singing. So I kept redoing and redoing it and before I knew it everything happened. I'm sorry I didn't finish it sooner. I love you buddy and I'll do everything I can to honor you every day. I always wish I can do more.

We will remember him. His character Naofumi in Rising of the Shield Hero may be hated by the people in the world he was brought to, but we will always love Billy's portrayal of Naofumi. I'm glad to have experienced his talent.

Yes Alejandro i will do that. Because four years ago ive watched Billy's first show Sirius the jaeger and swordgai the animation and a year later ive watched the whole season of the rising of the shield hero as naofumi, galo in promare and a bunch of others he may rest in peace.
We will always remember him. Ready to catch all Pokémon and become the best.

It’s hard to know the voice of Blue in Pokemon Masters EX and the voice of Ren in Pokémon Journey’s was taken away from us. But he’ll still live on the hearts that loved him.💙

My first thought was: fitting that Leon would be singing this after Ash achieved his dream.

It's nice (if not heart breaking R.I.P Billy) to see the voice actor most recent champion (GEETA DOESN'T COUNT) sing with the late voice actor of the first champion ever faced in pokemon
First, I hesitate to call even Leon a champion, and second, Geeta wasn't really the actual Champion battle, Nemona was. If anything, it was the Elite 4.5 and then the real Champion.
Why wouldnt geeta count? Shes a champion. Nothing different than any other champion.
@IronManJA Geeta doesn't count because she isn't as difficult as even the Elite 4. Even if it's a personal thing, Geeta has never KOd one of my Pokemon while the Elite 4 and Nemona have KOd at least one. Plus, Geeta doesn't really strategize or make good moves during her battle. I can say I struggled against her the first time through, but Nemona still ended up giving me far more of a challenge, and I'm sure that's the same for some other people. Plus, Geeta never has that overpowering feel to her, while the Elite 4 and Nemona do to a certain extent. Facing Geeta feels more like a chore than an actual battle really.

The thing that made me emotional is that they chose Leon and Blue as their images. And that their characters are champions. Basically saying that Billy was a champion. AND HE IS A CHAMPION! I may not have been familiar with his voice work but him being Maruki in P5R sold me he was amazing and tooken away from us too soon. We love u Billy forever and always! Smell ya later!💙

Kinda funny that I found out now that Billy did a cover of the Pokemon theme song because he voiced Naofumi in Rising of the Shield Hero and in Season 2, when he gets Raph-chan, it looked like Naofumi was getting his starter Pokemon.

honestly I think this is the closest I've heard a cover come to have the same power and passion as the original.

This song will always be a classic and I will never get tired of singing it! I really like the two characters used for this song, Leon and Gary/Blue, those two makes sense due to the connection between Ash and the two VA's that voice them. Gary/Blue being One of Ash's oldest and greatest rivals and Leon, the very person Ash defeated to finally become World Champion. Congrats to Ash for becoming the World Champion and Rest in Peace Billy Kametz, an amazing Voice Actor and I will never the work that he has done.
