i am a pharmacist. meltdowns are common in pharmacy, sick people dont act rationally
Especially in the US. If your insurance doesn't cover your life-saving medication, you're paying hundreds out of pocket (which most people don't have) just to survive. It's not the pharmacist's fault, but the freakout makes sense to me

I mean, you'd think some of these people would have heard from their dads or grandads and how in World War 1 there was this cool thing called Chlorine Gas, and if you breathed it, it turned to hydrochloric acid inside your lungs and you died horribly or suffered horrible internal wounds... and if you wanted to avoid that, you'd be breathing through a piss-drenched rag. Nose and mouth, one imagines. Buuut I guess all the fuckin' boomers never listened to THEIR elders, for all their whining that we don't listen to them.

I can't stand the notion that the current generation doesn't want to work rather than the re t prices being too high. I'm currently working over 40 hours a week as a college student on a full ride scholarship and I can't even afford rent
Mortgages are dumb too.
I got turned down for one because I didn't earn enough, which is ridiculous when I currently pay 40% more than that in rent while saving the deposit(meaning I could afford more than that).

Forget the generational things, why can’t adults just act like adults whenever there’s an issue. Like a few months ago I accidentally backed into a car while sitting in a line of cars. I didn’t look at my mirror and I was prepared to accept the blame. Luckily there was very little damage so nothing happened. But there was no screaming, no insults thrown, nothing bad. We just talked like adults, exchanged information and went about our days. That’s it

actually about the safe word, my mother almost got scammed out of a few thousand dollars because she got that text "hey mum had to get a new phone my other one broke btw can i have a few grand to help with bills."
thankfully it worked out, but now we have a family password if anything like money or sensitive material needs to be talked about

So basically, it’s a really good idea, but maybe agree your shibboleth or password or whatever in person and not over text where a scammer mind find it.

you'd be surprised; one time my mom got THAT upset at a pharmacy, because they were taking too long to give her what she came for (impatient)
-and they had it, but were probably labelling it and/or doing the paperwork. we only waited like...maybe 20 minutes?, but damn, 😅i had to pretend i didn't know her while she was flipping out
(i had to apologize to the desk-lady for her, -luckily SOMEHOW they didn't call anyone on her, it's SO embarrassing and ridiculous!.
oh my god, this reminds of how a few months ago my mum full on laughed at an employee in Chopstix because they were card only that day. Then she kept grumbling to me about how 'we live in a cashless society' (Why is that such a problem lol, its not that deep)

I'm a software engineer, and his 'spawn point' is actually completely right about the point we're at, it's you who's behind the times. It's happened to my relatives. When I get a phone call from an unknown number the only thing I say is 'hello' just in case they're trying to steal my voice so they don't get enough samples to use.
you work in IT and pick up calls from unknown numbers?
@@TheSuperappelflap yes because i get alot of deliveries so the drivers usually need to call me to collect parcels, and i have to deal with a bunch of companies
@@TheSuperappelflap I work in IT as well, unfortunately answering the phone comes with the job in my case, because sometimes I am on call in case someone breaks something important that can’t wait until morning, and that call can come from anywhere. Also i’ve also had some close calls with scammers targeting my elderly parents already, and I can really see that getting worse as deepfake tech becomes more accessible to scammers

That's still pretty freaky. Even if the content itself isn't different, You could definitely argue that it is still attempting to make people (esp. vulnerable ones) think of God when they see Trump, or vice versa. I was surprised. Every "boomer" video I've seen has been mostly middle aged people, but you actually had all real boomers! As for my country, I used to laugh at the old men who ranted and raged about the "decay of civilization". Now that I'm getting old, I truly believe that America is done for. It's a sad and scary time here.

Many US pharmacies don't have enough workers. Honestly mine had been not great and better recently. But for like a few years you'll come in literally they're closed during business hours, or there's a huge wait and they won't answer the phone. I don't take it out on the workers but it's frustrating and I've seen people go off in there.

Well, he's being a bit dramatic and stupid about it, but generally he's not wrong. Current generations do tend to play the victim card often, and get triggered by the smallest things. Which is why I find it so ironic they call boomers Karens for doing basically the same thing, just from the opposite viewpoint.

There are actually loads of channels that work against scammers who recomend you do set up the password thing with your family because of the rising preasence of AI in scams.

Most, if not all, my meltdowns occur there (18yrs of disability).

No I've seen people break down crying at the pharmacy more than once. CVS and Walgreens are fully enshittified here. People need their prescriptions and these companies are understaffing the locations to the point where people have mental breakdowns trying to get the medicines they NEED - in some cases to live - and have no other place to get.

I’m not being critical as I know there was no malice intended, also you weren’t mocking people but I’ve noticed in some of your videos recently you’ve shown clips of people clearly in a mental health crisis (an example being the chap on the plane). I’m not offended or being indignant but I’m just saying you may get in trouble at some point with all the mental health awareness stuff going around. It does look quite insensitive. As I said, I know it wasn’t you being cruel and it’s only because I’m a mental health profession and I can just spot it a mile off and maybe people who’ve experienced this sort of thing would too.
