This video explains a bit on how the doepfer a-110-6 works and how it can sound. The a-110-6 is an exotic trapezoid core VCO with thru zero FM, and many different waveform outputs.
@5:12 best tip ever! When you think of it, it is simple. When the 'average' of the modulator it not 0, the pitch changes as you attenuate it! I also use a STO as modulator (with an A-110-4).
I chose my Rubicon2 over this but yeah the 2 sync options it provides could have profited with phase-shifted outputs to stay in phase with external the modulators you'd plug
Excellent Demo of this highly underrated Tr. VCO. If it was labelled with Verbos people would spend 800,-- for it 😁
Yes.. And if it is behringer, it would be 90€
@@zorancalic65 You don´t get the point.
Of course i do not
Geez I've had the 110-4 for years now and this video made me realise that the dc offset makes sure there's no pitch drop... Thanks!!

DC blocker/HP filter on your modulator will force the average to zero.
mine comes monday. i am so excited! i had never bought any Doepfer modules, but when i saw the a-110-6 i couldnt resist
Thank you for making this.
Great demo thanks
Very helpful - thanks for showing this off
thank you .. just bought one !!

Thats a good vid!! ..You start by a sound and after you explain...thanks!
jeff wackenthal Thanks! I've learned it from the other CZcams gods :)
Yes, helpful. Thank you
I know this was a while ago, but do you remember some patch notes from right at the beginning of the video? Best
Not exactly but I remember it was switching different lfo’s and oscs as modulator for the frequency thru the doepfer switch
thank you
Do you know if its worth having this and the A110-4 ? Do both have own character / advantages? Thanks.
David simons I don't own both but if it's clean sines you are after, the 110-4 can deliver
5:47 I think you don't get a pitch drop because you don't go through zero anymore (which defeats the purpose of this feature a little bit) :/
You still do I think. Watch the led change colour when it goes from negative to positive through zero.
thanks mate
... "And ofcourse we can play melodies"...
