I can tell that this takes place during “The Great Calamity” well before the calamity ever happened! They knew that Ganon would resurface so they were getting prepared for another war! The story/tale of BOTW is such a sad and dark thing to see/hear/watch! All 4 Champions died, the king of Hyrule Castle, all the soldiers died!
This song makes it clear that it is time for a new beginning for Link to rise up and survive once more. (love goes to Breath of the Wild, my favorite game)
The Champions never will die, the Rito, Gerudos, Zora, and Gorons will pass down the great stories of Revali, Urbosa, Mipha, Daruk, Zelda, and the princesses knight for generations.
