- čas přidán 15. 08. 2024
- Sierra is a one year old German Shorthair Pointer, turns out that she loves cupcakes. We found this out the hard way and could not figure out who had eaten about a dozen of the freshly made cupcakes, so we set up our cupcake cam. Turns out that we caught the cupcake loving GSP in the act, in this video, she manages to eat 5 cupcakes in a few minutes....
I lost my GSP about 6 months ago. In his entire 14 years of life I don't think he ever stole food off of the counter or table. He was such a good boy! I really miss him.
Christopher, we have had GSP's for over 3 decades, this is the first one that decided to counter surf!
I'm sorry I lost my GSP this year roo. :(
Just lost mine not quite two months ago. It's pretty tough.
@@stevenfredericks9844 lost mine as a child and it still hurts a little some 40 years later 😢 best breed ever Steven (but you know that!) RIP your pup.
@@derekdalton5658 Thank you. My wife wept a bit just the other day when I showed her a CZcams video with GSP puppies. Exactly right about the best breed!
Absolutely adorable. I love the way he looks to see if anyone is watching! Smart boy...
Turns out, girls, Sierra, can be sneaky too!
It's funny that the dog looks around before stealing the first cupcake. Then, he uses his pays to grab the last two.
Those must be some damn good cupcakes.
That was the most adorable thing.
They are not really dogs - it's just the shape that gives this perception; they are really "people" like us, and so they behave.
@@annawright4545 what the hell
Indien!
I love that you have a sense of humor about all this. She's irresistable.
GOLD.🏅🥇🏆Funniest dog video EVER. Smart and beautiful. Sierra; you are ADORABLE (GSP fan in Australia)
This was a good video during my tuff days. Mine, Marley, used to put her foot on the counter, then look over her shoulder, then Drive her way along the entire counter scanning for goodies. Then she would look around and snitch it. GSPs are smart, agile determined pups who don’t quit. That is why they are the best dogs. Not for everyone and not as a first dog. But when you get a GSP your in for a ride. Would never get anything else!
"How nice that they made these treats for me! I wonder why they put them so high up, though?"
I think I have watched this at least a hundred times! I do so when I need a good laugh. Thank you Sierra! We love your deft, cupcake stealing methodology.
Determined, straight to the target, ....that's th GSPs way. Gosh, I loved it! Thank you.😊💖
I've had a bit of a tough day today, but seeing THIS wee video really cheered me up!!!
i love how she uses her paw to reach the cupcakes haha smart dog.
My GSP does that all the time. Can't leave him alone in the kitchen. He even jumps up on the counter and gets snacks off the top of the refrigerator. Gotta love em, even when they are naughty.
So, so funny!! I especially love her reaching for the far ones and pulling them back to herself!
how could someone dislike this?!boo! this is is adorable and hilarious! i had a GSP just this! :)
What a bad puppy! I love how she looks around before snagging one the first one. After that she just snags 'em quick.
Just like my naughty Gsp, Nebraska, love the way she reaches with her paws, so dexterous.
She is smart at first she looked around to make sure coast was clear Gotta love dogs
That is so funny! I love how she looks around to see if anyone's watching!
I had a German Shepherd that pulled a roast pheasant off the table when no one was in the room, we came back into the kitchen to the sight of her gnawing away at what was left of the bird, I haven't laughed so much since. Thank you very much for posting !
I like the way Sierra looks around before taking that first cupcake!
I had a GSP growing up that would grab stuff off the counters, you had to get really creative with where to hide things in the kitchen. She is really adorable =]
The last two are the best. My brother's dog, a rescue, taught them the hard way that he likes to steal food too.... I hope this isn't a regular thing though ;)
That girl has good manners, she is dainty, doesn't touch it with her paw for longer than needed, and only eats one at a time.
My GSP can open the fridge and has a great time devouring everything he can before we get home! We had to put a lock on the fridge door. GSPs are an amazing breed!
I have a GSP too. They are such fun dogs with great personalities.
Oh my gosh, cutest thing ever!!!! I love how he had to use his paw for the last cupcake. Lol!!
I thought I was going to see a cupcake named Sierra eating a GSP dog.
"Sierra the cupcake-eating German Shorthair Pointer" makes more sense!
Syntax scmuck
Tom L. HEY, I've earned my Grammar Police badge, RESPECT MAH AUTHORITAI (sic)
Now that's really dumb...
Sierra is a rascal! Beautiful dog!!
Thank you sooooo very much for sharing this. I am madly in love with German Pointers and used to have one very similar looking to yours for 12 years. I still miss him. I had a good laugh :o)
It used it's paw to pull it closer! SMART DOG. I don't encourage my pets to eat human food, but this was still cute.
My German shorthair pointer does this also too cute I love German shorthair pointers there adorable and great to snuggle with
I had a GSP that did the same thing. Your video made me remember Duke. Thanks
Aleta, thanks, I smile every time someone sees the video, sadly we lost Sierra to cancer this past summer, we had a wonderful 12.5 years with her!
Our WEIMERS did that counter surfing thing. Not a loaf of bread was safe if you forgot to put it away
what a smart little girl Sierra is.. and it's obvious she is well cared for and healthy..
This looks very familiar!!! My shorthair always steals a quick snack! They are an amazing breed!
I love this video! Reminder of my own darling GSP.
You're lucky she just surfs counters. My 11 month old GSP can open the refrigerator. He is not ever allowed in the kitchen unsupervised.
Neither my dog. She is soooo intelligent
The joy of GSP 😇❣️😍 smart, emotional, bff
You can teach him not to steal food - rather than forbid him from the kitchen; it must be a headache to do the food-guarding...🤦♂️
😀😀😀
My GSP learned how to open the fridge, the cabinets, the trash can, and the salmon smoker. Not only that but she could get on top of the washing machine, could climb the fence, and learned that if she ran really fast, the electic fence we installed AFTER our fence would only shock her for a second. She was a menace, but it was definitely fun having her around. GSP's are TOO SMART!
wow! Did he eat the paper with it? That's hilarious! Our black lab is like that, and I'm sure our now 6 month old GSP would catch on pretty quick to that if she saw our black lab in action! That is too cute. GSP's are GREAT problem solvers, and have LONG legs! Even so, I didn't see it coming with the cupcakes in the back.......sure enough, the long front leg quickly came into play! LOL!! Thanks for posting!
Damn she stole those cupcakes stealthy lol good girl
*sniff sniff* 'SUGAR!!!' *snacks one*
"ooo,,mmm das ist gut!"
*snacks another*
I figure the dog talks with a german accent lol
Love that video and train and raise GSPs and this is not an uncommon occurrence. ;) I had one many years ago that would do drive by pizza slice snatch and grab. Important to this video and while cup cakes are not harmful other foods can be. Mark thanks for sharing.
The fact that Sierra came back for every single cupcake! lol. Such a cutie.
Sierra, you are adorable!
Omg, adorable little thief :))))
Sierra is forgiven. She’s such a sweet angel
I love how she looks around first and the last one killed me when she used her paw HAHAH shes super cute too.. I have a lab pointer mix... very smart dogs!
Love the paw action!
Hey, at least they weren't CHOCOLATE cupcakes! Then she would've eaten them all and then barfed them up onto your rug!
Robin Minkler Chocolate is very very bad for dogs! Look it up. If your dog consumes chocolate get him to your vet ASAP!
I use to give my German shorthair pointer chocolate bars every now and then, and nothing ever happened to him.
Adorable vid. Our Female GSP does the same thing. Our Male wont and gets nervous when she does this. You can almost sense he's saying " You're going to get us in trouble"
she is very smart-Good dog! We have two shorthairs as well.
This video always makes me smile...................
i had a GSP they are an extremely intelligent dog, very easy to train too. mine was a gun dog and she was great at it too. she was also a master of escape. doors, even windows, she could also climb up 6ft wire fences, then when we stopped her doing that she could use her nose to split the fence apart and escape that way. brilliant pet
I found very difficult to train my GSP since she gets distracted by everything
One Christmas I made red velvet cupcakes and left them on the counter. They were covered with foil. The next morning there were only 3 left. I searched the cabinets thing someone put them away and even blamed my son in law who always gets up in the middle of the night to get something to eat. He swore he never ate one. There was not a crumb to be found or a wrapper. Then we looked real close at the area rug near the door and found some red crumbs and figured it was our Shepard. He never was sick . I can only imagine he did the same thing.
The dog is like: "finder's keepers".
Love how she scans the room first lol
That is one smart German Pointer.
We had a Rottweiler who was king in this. And who knew it was wrong, but did it anyway. One day my mother was preparing meatballs, she had like 1kg of prepared meatballs on the cutting board, and left the kitchen to go to the toilet. When she came back the Rottweiler was very suspiciously hiding under the table. She called it, it came. It's cheeks were ballooning up, he had found the time to stuff all the meadballs into his mouth, but hadn't had time to actually eat them yet. It was funny as hell.
This video still won't deter me from getting a GSP. I can't wait to have one of my own, hopefully as cute as this one. And thinking of dog names, Sierra is my new favourite name.
Gsps are excellent dogs. But be sure to teach them when young, they remember it for ever. Love mine to pieces.
I have a GSP & Weminaraner. A few years ago we made some pies-- pecan for my dad and chocolate for me and others. Our Weim specifically sniffed out the pecan pie, ate it, and tried to hide the tin. We searched for like an hour b/c nothing else was disturbed-- the pie was just gone. Finally found the tin under her bed. So far, the GSP puppy hasn't eaten anything, but we'll see.
I love this video!!! My GSP, Momo is act and look like Sierra.
OMG! THAT WAS VERY QUICK.
DID HE SWALLOWED THose CUP CAKES?
WOW!
UNBELIEVABLE!
My GSP did the same thing! Ate a taco and tostada left on the counter! Came back to eat it and it was all gone!! Not one crumb on the floor!!
yes they are!! Mine hasn't discovered the refrigerator! Thanks for the warning. We don't leave our 6 month old GSP unattended for even a moment! When we leave the house without her, she has to go into her crate! I don't trust her! She is a super dog, and has never chewed anything other than her toys, until one day on a short car ride, she ate a chunk out of the back of the leather seat. Luckily it was a small quarter size hole, and gray...duck tape came in handy!
Smart dog!
That's funny. My oldest hunter can open doors, and lock them as well. Rain, plus keys inside, plus me taking trash out, equals hunter locking the door
LOL that was great! We had a dog that did this, but we never could catch her.
OH MY GOD! Our cupcakes keep going missing! It couldn't possibly be our pet dog who will eat basically anything! Hmmm, let's get to the bottom of this.
My gsp would do the same thing. We make sure things are far enough back or there gone. 🐾❤
Yes! This is hilarious. My GSP, Bear is totally like this. He's a little bastard but I love him for it. If only they had cameras on them at all times, the things we would see. Bear, as well hides all his evidence. He likes to hide stuff under his bed or in my bed. It depends what it is. This video makes me laugh every time! :)
lol - Our Male GSP, MAx, took out some muffins a few weeks ago and then Lasagne.
You can't leave these guys alone in the Kitchen especially with the reach they have with those legs!
I have some very sad news, a couple of weeks ago, we discovered that Sierra had an aggressive form of cancer that was inoperable. She passed away this morning peacefully at home. We have met so many wonderful people, and had so many great experiences with Sierra over the years. Our daughter had her in the field hunting and she managed Sierra to an AKC Master Hunter designation, Sierra was always friendly with all the folks she came into contact with, always had a tail wag and a sniff, or greeted you at the door with a welcome friend bark and happy to see you brush against your leg. As our daughter says Sierra is in Pheasant hell now (dog heaven) chasing and pointing roosters where the gunners never miss and the retrieves are always to your hand. Sierra was an awesome dog, a family friend and a companion on hundreds of walks and hunts over the years.
We estimate that Sierra was seen on varous TV stations around the globe and many millions of people have seen her in action on the BBC, CBS, ABC, French, German, Italian, Japanese, China and Indian TV.
While we are sad tonite, we know that she is not suffering and is actively pointing all the pheasants in Pheasant hell that she can. Rest In Peace our cupcake thief! Love always!
So sorry to hear about poor Sierra. I have a GSP that reminds me so much of her. They are really the best dogs in the world, such big personalities and beyond loyal. Thanks for sharing, even if it is 11 years old.
My GSP Mookie once stole and ate an entire freshly baked loaf of Irish soda bread. He left a trail, like a cartoon, of white paw prints on the oak floor. Rip, Mookie.
THIEF!! *dies laughing*
My wirehaired german pointer ate 1,5 kilos of moosesteak in the very same way when she was staying over at a friends house... : D They r good foodthiefs.
What a smartie ! :)
she's like Raiza my GSP :') I LOVE HER A LOT
Our Gsp does the exact same paw manuever…. He sense of smell is so strong she will steal any food left out..much worse than our lab.
I had a pitbull mix that figured out chairs wer good for climbing if he couldn't reach things. I still for the life of me can't figure out how he cleans out my freezer on top of my fridge. He had nothing to climb onto and would've had to be on top of the fridge and pulling across his normal range of motion to open the door. But when I got home it was empty and the wrappers were laid neatly by the trash can ripped, but neat. If you have a four legged family member, it's a safe bet that your disappearing food went to them. Thanks for morning laughs Mark.
Clever girl!!!!!Specially in the beginning is incredible
Ha ha ha ha ha, one of my favourite kind of dog.
GSPs are known for craving and/or loving sugary treats.
In fact, anytime I eat a sugary snack, my GSP, Molly, will do anything to get a bite, including the paw and salivating tricks.
Keep in mind that sugar, salt, and fat are tastes that are rare in nature, meaning living things, including dogs, will crave it.
Weren't you worried at all about the wrappers? Just this past weekend my GSP ate 8 large breakfast muffins, wrappers included. He made some internal bowel sounds that would put a haunted house to shame, and was groaning and moaning all the next day. Finally took him to the vet yesterday to rule out any blockage, but he's still gun shy about eating.
He's nearly 12 now and never went after food until the past few months. Our cat was losing weight until we figured out our GSP was eating the cat food when no one was looking (although the horrendous gas did help give him away).
My GSP is bad too! She will steal our food if we're not looking! she's so bull headed! lol
Lol I have a pointer who is also a cupcake stealer
So funny! I love GSP
Hahaha. You horrible dog! 🤣
Awesome!!!!!
Adorable
My GSP, Molly, does the same thing as she has a tendency to steal food at times.
Since GSPs have a tendency to steal as means of getting attention, you have to keep food, clothing, and shoes out of site or out of reach.
My GSP used to do this, till i corrected it and it never stole food off the bench again.
It was absolutly clear to my GSP that taking ffod off the bench was absolutly forbidden.
All dogs will steal food, it is not just a GSP thing.
Great dogs...unfornatly mine was killed by a snake.
This dog looks familiar. I think I saw her in an Animal Shelter page trying to find her a new home.
I have 2 GSP. Both like it under the covers.
Don't worry Kate, What goes in one end comes out of the other.
OMG ... the production values, the art direction. Flying graphics, split screen transitions ... who did this James Cameron?
The paw use on the last 2 was great!
my gsp does the same exact kind of thing. they wait till you're gone or not paying attention, then they go in the act
I am a bit worry that those paper under the cupcake, will dog eat it, he won't know I think.
No need to worry. If i'm alive dog will be good to :)
My german short haired pointers name is ciara also and she loves to eat butter!
Smart doggie!
cute dog
Funniest part: the look-around at :19.
