- I am new on the way to what I consider to be a proper beard! On my journey, I am going to be experimenting with various beard and moustache cosmetics. The first one that I have been using on a daily basis is the bulldog range of facial oils and conditioners.
So far, I have found the smell very addictive and as a money saver, I would class the beard oil and conditioner as "Very Good Value" compared with other I have seen on my daily travels.
If you are interested in trying out the products I have been talking about in the video then here are the direct links to AMAZON:

Omg the way he works the oil in his beard and the comb
Just brought this product the smell IS really good i also got the beard balm highly recommend too.
Now you know what I mean about the nice smells.
Is there any chance you could do a skincare video?
Maybe recommend some budget men's products. Facewash, moisturiser and scrub.
Would love to know what products you use, you look nowhere near 50.
You look great! Thank you for the review
Thanks for taking the trouble to comment. I am getting used to the camera and settings so still at the early stages with the channel. Have a great day!
Got the Shampoo and Balm, great stuff and Natural! Not overly priced either.
Hi Andy, thanks for the comment. I am going to be doing a video on the Bulldog balm compared to a premium type balm, the Seven Potions beard balm. I was surprised in the difference, I found the Bulldog balm was more like a face cream. I think this is fine for a shorter beard/stubble. Have you tried the Bulldog oil, I think it's the best smelling oil in all the oils I have tried so far!!
I will definitely try the oil.
I love your beard it's so good! ;3
Thank you! I have another couple of months growth and slowly styling better each time. I am lucky that I don't have any patches which some other beardo's say is a huge problem for them!!
Great video! Great beard!
Thanks a lot.. have a great day
I used up my last bit up bulldog beard oil, and the used up the bulldog beard balm a week before the oil.loved both of them.only negative thing about them to me was the oil reducing cap thing on the beard oil.i totally hated that thing.u have to vigorously shake the hell out of the bottle to get a few drops.good news is that u can pop the reducer out,but then it's a totally open bottle.(gotta be careful)I would suggest a dropper. Or just a pop top lid.other than that, great products.
Yeah, the oil reducing cap does it's job but almost too well sometimes! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and adding a tip.
I use the beard oil and I agree it's really nice my skin has honestly never looked better. So if you have extra on your hands rub it all into the skin on your face it will feel like heaven. If I ever shave my beard I'd keep using the oil just for my skin. The bulldog wax on the other hand is a bit too soft for my wiry mess but is probably fine if you have softer beard hair.
One of my favourite smells but since making the video I have tried a few "premium oils" and wow... have you tried many more of the more expensive, premuim oils?
Not yet but my best friend has a massive beard that's well kept, I might borrow one of his to try for a few weeks as even with oil and a stronger wax it's still been a bit messy. Still it's short right now going to give it some time for length and thickness to see if it settles down first.
I do like the fact it's an understated smell, nothing worse than smelling like a cheap brothel.
When I first started growing the beard, I was tempted to keep trimming it to stop the annoying messy look. Once I stopped and got past a certain length, I could use my straighteners and my 230c resistant comb. I could then get rid of annoyances like curls and stuff. I have a video which shows the comb if you haven't seen it. czcams.com/video/Vg5US2Kx574/video.html
just bought one just because it smelt great
It's great isn't it! Glad you liked it too. Thanks for taking the time to let me know you liked it!
Really good video
Thanks Bobby, I really appreciate your comment. Lot's more practice needed but you have to start somewhere don't you!
I do live near Brighton but...lol
Beard video one day then!!!
Did both the bulldog beard shampoo and conditioner, and bulldog beard oil help promote facial hair growth?
I use this product at the start of my beard growth, I live in the UK and bought from my local BOOTS store. The product is called ORS CASTOR OIL and was about £5.00 (lasts ages)
Amazon are out of stock at the moment but it will give you an idea of what the box looks like: amzn.to/2sDCj7A
I hope this helps yo Kian. If you have any more questions feel free to ask. If I can help I will!
Peter
I love bulldog beard oil I have a pretty big beard but it works well and smells fantastic
Yeah, still a favourite smell for me!!
Oh crap, i just bought the beard oil thinking it was pre-shave oil.
Nearly 50?? Jesus..you look about 35.. nice review btw just ordered the oil in the hopes that I could grow a semi decent beard
35 years old, you're one of the most honest people I have ever met!!!!!!! ha ha.... My girlfriend uses a castor oil for her hair to make it thick. I use this on my beard as it promotes thicker hair. I got it in my local BOOTS store. The product is called ORS CASTOR OIL and was about £5.00 (lasts ages)

Thanks again for you comments and enjoy your new beard. I am past that first stage of annoyness. Try find a decent barber, modern... who can help you through the stages of growth without wasting months and chopping it badly or too much off. I live in Worthing so not sure if this is near you or not.
Thanks for the tips man, my main problem atm is trying to fill in the patches and add a bit of volume. That castor oil is a good shout I think i'll give it a go :)
I am lucky not to have patches but as your beard gets longer you can play a little bit more to fill the gaps (like a bush) Brush some of the hair to hide it!! I am at the stage now where I nearly through the homeless look and I can start the shape process ( About 8 months in so I have had to cut to let the other parts of the beard catch up.
Best of luck and thanks again for your comments - Pete
The hair was only colour on the top through a hairdresser messing up a small amount of grey I wanted added to front! It is back to natural now. The beard I do colour lightly every few months as I prefer the brown look to the more natural ginger tint.
Im go buy some today
I hope you will also like the smell of the product!
I use this oil to really nice. You need do moustache wax reviews
I have been trying my hardest to learn how to video, edit and NOW I am ready to go go go.... I have a schedule of videos starting with almost from the beginning, tips and tricks and along the way some products like oils and wax products. Cheers for the feedback it means a lot.
do you dye yer beard ?? im guessing yes.. nowt wrong with that, just asking.
Yes I do, it started when I was a beard newbie and had a very short beard. I had two annoying grey patches and if I am honest I prefered the brown look as it matches to the top of my head more. I don't dye it as much these days but I must say, it makes it really really soft for weeks after. You wouldn't think so would you but it does!!
What are the ingrediants like in this product is it full of chemicals?
The products are purpose built for men and contain natural ingredients. So things like aloe vera, camelina oil and green tea. Great to soften, tame and condition your beard!
Peter Millikin the oil does have jojoba oil, I can't remember what the wash/conditioner has though
This is the full list of ingredients from the BULLDOG spec on the website, you're correct in the jojoba! - Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) seed oil, Prunus amygdalus dulcis (Sweet almond) oil, Cocos nucifera (Coconut) oil, Borago officinalis seed oil, Argania spinosa kernel oil, Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba) seed oil, Camelina sativa seed oil, Parfum (Fragrance)*, Limonene, Caprylic/capric triglyceride, Glycine soja (Soybean) oil, Tocopherol, Evernia prunastri (Oakmoss) extract, Linalool, Citronellol, Geraniol, Aloe barbadensis leaf extract, Citral, Camellia sinensis (Green tea) leaf extract. *a blend of natural ingredients.
The Beard Wash Ingedients
Aqua (Water), Cocamidopropyl betaine, Sodium lauroyl methyl isethionate, Aloe barbadensis leaf juice, Sodium chloride, Acrylates copolymer, Stearamidopropyl dimethylamine, Sodium benzoate, Parfum (Fragrance)*, Potassium sorbate, Trisodium ethylenediamine disuccinate, Camelina sativa seed oil, Limonene, Glycerin, Camellia sinensis (Green tea) leaf extract, Citric acid, Tocopherol. *a blend of natural ingredients.,
you can get this stuff in tesco now
Yeah it is often on special all over the place now so you can generally get it under £5
Do you wash your beard ever day ?
Hi Ian, Many people say don't wash it daily, but I do! In the morning and evening and use conditioner each time. My facial hair is super soft. People stop me in the street as they can see it is soft by the condition of it and ask me how! I guess you're stripping the beard of natural oils when washing it with shampoo, but use the right one that replaces oils etc. I believe it's healthier to wash it properly, especially as you might get food in it.
Anyone know how well this works for head hair?
I have used the beard shampoo on my head hair and love it. Depending on length, you'd need a fair bit to get a good lather, where as the beard doesn't need too much. Also, depending on the products you use, you might need a more designated shampoo. There are loads of decent ones and well worth investing in. I will try and cover these in a video shortly.
Thanks for the feedback!
Anytime Jess.... Have a great weekend
You look 40 max . Great review
Could you edit your comment by one year then I will look in my 30's!!!!!! ha ha.... Cheers for the comment and feedback David...
Peter Millikin haha sorry ,I meant you dont look a day over 39 😂😂
Thanks David, doesn't that sound so much better? I does for me ha ha!!!!! I hope you have a great weekend.
How many times a day can you use the beard oil
Personally, I only use the beard oil after my shower in the morning. I then use a premium beard balm after the evening shower. In answer to your question, you can use the oil as frequently as you require but I think once a day is enough. Many people over apply and this almost makes your beard feel greasy.
IS THIS FOR WHITE MALES ONLY?
It's suitable for any type of beard.
