- Close encounters with Bull Tahr, a huge physical challenge, successful hunting, incredible views, and an unexpected animal made this trip one to remember. Watch along as we climb over a mountain in the Southern Alps of New Zealand to access and hunt a remote watershed late in Spring of 2021.

Easily the best hunting show I've ever watched. Unbeatable scenery! I was hurting just thinking about lugging those heavy packs back up that mountain. Nicely done, gents.
You're too kind mate! Cheers 🍻
Great content from a couple of down to earth solid lads. Loving it guys!!!
Fabulous fellas as usual. Thanks for all your efforts.
That brought back a lot of huge memories. Many thanks.

Cheers mate 🍻
that hike back up the rocky hillside... jeez that looked tough
Looks epic boys!
Awesome great hunt !!
Guys . . .your filming and editing has gone next level. Really enjoyed some nice touches . . . like the footage along the ridge on the way out - sped up, then the sudden stop for a breather! Or the 'move' into the tent sequence after lugging the two lots of meat. Good fun . . . keep em coming. Onya.
Cheers Greig! Glad you're enjoying the progress, thanks for the comment 🙂
Great video lads, cheers
Those scree slopes accch!!! With packs accch!!! Going up accch!!! .....Well presented guys. I like your ethics.

Thanks mate 🍻
Incredible footage, great watch.
Cheers mate!
In the 1970s we came across a remote hut that hadn't had the visitor book signed for 4 years. Probably avoided because it was marked as a bivvy. There was not bad looking butter stored in flour.
Awesome video guys! You are just getting better & better at it. Thanks for sharing. Whakawhetai koe!
Thanks mate!
I love how you blokes take real food!
Another great video.
Can't beat good tucker in the hills!
Good stuff guys! I've done that exact route before too, great spot!
It's a cool spot!
Another epic vid guys. Well earned meat on that scree climb. Everyone's forgotten sunscreen once too.🤣
Haha cheers, it was desperate times. We ended up using all our lip balm on our face 😂
Top work lads, awesome, the quality is getting better and better!!
Cheers Scott, much appreciated mate 🤙
Looks like some hard yards!
Holy hell guys, you know how to torture yourselves aye 😆. Really good vid yet again awesome drone footage and great shooting. Well done team.
Hahah wouldn't do it again in a hurry 😅 cheers mate, glad you enjoyed it 👍
Top work fellas
🍻
Wicked watch boys
Heading down on Friday to try my luck
Massive effort guys , you dug deep on that hill on the way out....
We were close to calling it a day at the first ridge, if it wasn't for work the next day I'd say we would've 😂
That has to be the most epic 'grocery run' to fill the freezer ever. Thank goodness I've discovered a venison supplier just down the road from me! LOL
Hahah definitely didn't intend on it being a meat mission to begin with! I think we'll look closer to home next time as well 😅
Been there done that but no snow. Finally shot my tahr at around 6000ft and on returning to the hut slept for 14hrs and could hardly walk. Brilliant experience. Did it like these boys no helicopter nonesense.
Good man! Can't beat the feeling of a massive day on the hills 👌
Awesome hunt team I was tied watching use climb up that massive hill that is steep. What tent were use using an would you recommend it as I'm looking for a good tent thanks
Thanks mate! The one in the video is the marmot tungsten UL, it's been a good lightweight tent for us for a few years now! Haven't done much mid winter stuff in it but for the rest of the year it's been ideal 👍
Mean watch boys
🍻
Fuck yeah! Epic video bros 😎
Cheers Jay!
nice editing, great shots (film and the shooting). I'm interested in doing some filming around some wild life reserves. Not really interested too much about hunting any animals (yet). What would be required to do that? Say film some red deer, is there any out around the Tararua ranges, and is it difficult to obtain a permit?
Cheers.
Thanks mate! If you're filming on private land you'll have to get permission from the landowner, should be all good for public land! Not too sure about animal numbers up north sorry!
