According to an analyst, Julio and MT both ran slants on 31% of their routes this year. Thomas just got targeted more on them because he was open

J B take away Julioâs top 6 and you take away slant, fly routes, curl, dig, out, and posts. Take away Thomasâs and he loses slants, curls, dig, fly, out, and flat. Youâre losing similar things for both of them, and both keep a good percentage of their routes and catches because, unlike what Twitter memes want you to think, theyâre actually both fairly versatile

I became a saints fan in 2013. But I didnât watch games really until MTâs rookie year. The following year I started watching EVERY GAME religiously with my father. We continued constant viewership for the following years. He died during the first season without Brees. And Iâm just so happy and grateful that the only four years where my father and I watched every game together were the greatest four years in Saints history (so far đ€). Michael Thomas is my favorite football player of all time (and I live in Alabama)

Trent Guy 80% catch rate. Target amount doesnât effect catch rate and michael Thomas has an 80% catch rate from 2019 season while Julio has a 63% and Hopkins has a 69%. Donât wanna hear your excuses. Yeah he gets targeted insane amounts, because he catches everything and is open all the time. Thatâs why heâs the best.

I honestly think the focus of Thomasâ record for this season ruined the offense and kinda led to losing this season. There needs to be more variety and giving others opportunities.
David Maritnez There was no other receiver getting constantly open Ginn is trash and trequan Smith is very inconsistent, Thomas is a big reason we won many games he was reliable on 3rd down catches to keep the chains moving

Good athlete. Very overrated tho. He could be something but he hasnt shown nearly enough to be that guy yet. No breaking a reception record off 5 yard hook routes wouldnt make him that guy.
The arguments about him only running short routes are dumb. If everyone knows that heâs staying short and still canât stop him that just shows how good he is
