So glad you mentioned the Neko. It's a technique that I just starting using for the first time this month and BAAMM! First cast = 3lbr. 5 or so ≤ 2lbrs after that, but still fun to get quick bites on a super pressured small lake. One thing I took away from this video is the line. I used 12 lb PLine straight flouro and can now see where the braid main line makes more sense. Thanks for another great video.
Try 10-15lb(can go bigger if your fishing in some crazy thick cover) braid with an 8ft 8-10lb fc leader for the neko rig,ned rig,drop shot or weightless senko ,its what most of us guys on lake champlain use for monster smallies and lmb
I have to be honest, I've caught snook and redfish on hair jigs, but I've never thrown one for bass. I'll have to give it a whirl next time I'm down in Moore Haven, right after I run out of shiners...lol Love ya'll ❤️

Hey Scott I’ve got a rig for you if you’ll try it at the st Lawrence might help get you a good check get yourself some case magic sticks look em up on line great baits (SENKOS) octopus hook then your rubber ring in the middle take two carpet screws that you would use for metal over carpet edge insert one in each end and that’s it you won’t need a weight because the screws add the weight cut the heads off the screws you can put the weights all the way in the bait ! Excellent video Scott ! I wondering when you talking about those hair jig is that the same as buck tail jig ? There so many way to rig up worm fishing. I remember the old style plastic worms my grandfather would use with the weed guard. I am supprise the way you rig all those worms, they don`t get hung up more on rocks and under water debris, like brush top on the bottom. Berkley flat worm or flat nose minnow on a drop shot also been havin luck with a texas rigged speed craw or z craw jr in gp magic or black/blue using a 3/16oz weight with a red 7mm bead between the weight and hook. 80mm g fix or 90mm duo realis spinbait in bone or riverbait color,luckycraft pointer 95sp in bluegill or Tennessee shad, black vmc maribou hair jig,and of course the old reliable Berkley general 4"-5" in coopertruese
I thoroughly enjoyed the video. What I would like to know what length of weight leader do you use in different cover and/structure. For instance grass, do you set your weight a little farther down to try and keep the bait above the weeds?

Scott, so im fishing ponds, and i was wondering when i transfer to lakes switching up lines to 8 pounds or 10, would that be better to get my bait down? and also could you let me know is fishing with 12 to 15 pound flouro for bass not ideal or just as good using the 8 pound test or 10. Baitcaster and Spinning. Taught me a lot i just dive deep to see whats the ideal choice but im fishing ponds so it doesnt matter as much but just let me know always willing to learn from the best bro! Love Scott M

Hair Jig tip is so Key using 12 pound to 20 pound is va very big difference is you really think about it and go for just about anything thanks bro!!
