Unlike other single player deckbuilder, you are going to fill a bag with black and white stones. Wether you can use your skills depends on the order you pick the stones. Build a unique combo, defeat powerful enemies, and don't forget to use your Prescience!
The Let's Try series is a way to preview / review games in order to get my first impressions through the first moments of gameplay.

There's some really interesting stuff going on here, which I feel is really hampered by bad/frustrating enemy designs. There were just so many stalling enemies with little counterplay.
The two-part combo scrolls are cool. I also like that they are all good, but are better on 'their' character.
I like the puzzle aspect of each turn. It's neat.
Agreed, if they smooth out the stall and true damage the game is going to be cracked
@@Retromation can you give me an example of "smooth out the stall". I'm confused about what "stall" is, and I do want to improve that part of the game.
@@wehangergames Stall is a strategy of prolonging the combat the maximum possible.
That was awesome. I really loved the design. The game could definitely do with a bit less unblockable damage. It feels like over 50% of the fights didn't care about block.
Agreed and agreed
True damage against the player character should probably never really a be thing.
The way that Slay the Spire: Downfall handled poison damage against players was ideal I think.
I think the game has a really interesting concept though. It’s an interesting twist on a lot of the classic formulas. Mana/energy can be constantly added, but you only have a certain number of activations per ability per turn so stacking a billion pieces doesn’t really benefit you.
I think the game can honestly be perfectly summarized in the concept of Yin and Yang. You have your equipment and you have your pieces. Both rely on each other and influence what kind of things you’re looking for while you’re also trying to build synergy between the abilities themselves.
Very cool concept and gameplay. Every turn feels like a genuine puzzle because you don’t know exactly which piece you draw next. You have to weigh the odds of getting the right patterns. A lot deck builders have all the brain power go into the deck building and then you just play whatever is the most optimal hand each turn.
I like having the turn be more puzzle based because of the pieces.
Idk, doesn't healing counter true damage?
Can always relay on retro to bring extremly fresh games to my doorstep
Cookie, I think you ment rely
@@kellyhone2612 Electrical Relay 😳
ive read it like Pre-Science haha
His pronunciation was right! It means something like seeing/knowing things before they happen.
Cute game, looks like a solid mechanic already. Looking forward to the full release. ⚪⚫☯️
this is a fantastic concept for a roguelike! reunion robot was a great time and this looks like one too!
Oh, I'm liking this~
Already plenty to play with. Definitely trying this out.
Good review retro, the game looks very cool
I see 200k there. Congrats to you, Retromation.
It's H'ang the H'air bender. Look out for chess blockers!
This game gave me poker quest vibe
Interesting game , what if Go was a deckbuilder?
I hear him say ‘Prussians’ every time. xD I’m dying. 😂
Wow, DD:Reunion's Robot episode as a standalone game. Huh.
Probably the closest thing to it, yeah. There are major differences though to be sure.
Love to see more
This is very, very interesting, I like it.
Please play more of this lol
Love you’re content retro, always enjoyable, but you don’t have to pick all 6 pieces at once
I mean... yeah, but there is literally zero logical reason not to lol
Really cool game
This game really wants and hates stall at the same time
Love you Reto!
Him immediately forgetting you can choose the pieces yourself use the pieces regardless of the order below
or maybe, I didn't forget but it was largely irrelevant
@@Retromation The game gets better if you don't.
Aren't the cards in a deck what you have? Isn't building something managing it?
The scrolls really _aren't_ cards. They're the equipment.
Where is the prommised random Wikipedia link makes me sad
that tutorial was so terrible that would turn me away immediately
@@almightyk11 way too long, overexplains things. Also text-based tutorials are just such a bad experience.
Oh really... My dude you haven't seen a terrible tutorial yet...
