  • Sometimes an artist is forced to use what they have before they can upgrade to the latest personal die cutting machines. In this video, I show you how I use a Graphtec CE5000-60 Cutting Plotter to cut paper craft projects. By using this set up, I am able to do more types of projects, bigger cuts (if in other mediums than on a cutting mat) and stay on task with what I already own.

This video helped a ton! Thank you. I like your comment about not "chasing technology" - this is great advice because all of these tools cost a lot, why not get the most out of them. I have and love my 24" roland. After watching your video I ordered a cricut cutting mat and WUHOO it's awesome. I've already cut about five projects and it works great. Oh, and you inspired me to test out my optical scanner on the plotter for the first time, bonus, it worked very easily. Great video! Thanks

Hello!! Thanks for letting me know this video was of help to you. It is often over looked that these machines can be used for paper projects as well. Thank you again and happy cutting!!

What settings do you use for cut speed and pressure when you are cutting the card stock/paper?

+Aaron Aziz I use the speed of 10 and the cutting pressure is around 8-10. The pressure setting is a trial and error setting and depends on the weight of the card stock. Thank you for watching and question. !!
