"You're a flower, you are. Just a little desert flower". I agree, H.I., I agree.
Loved her in Saving Grace 💗
She was great in Broadcast News
She's a legend. She great as Elastgirl.
It was a stretch, but she nailed it.
Holly Hunter is turning into America's cute hippie grandma, and I love it.
You don't have to like her .I hope..
No Grandma !!? She is actor.
I love Holly, so good to see her.
Seth going in for that hug made her look soooooo tiny 😂
LOVE THIS LADY.
HERE'S THAT ACCENT.
One of my favorite actresses of all time. As a fellow petite women, I look up to her. She played many tough, interesting women throughout the years showing me women didn't all have to act and look the same. I had previously thought women all had to act like Stepford wives and have large breasts to get by in life (so no hope for me).
NY been her home since 1980 and she still has her southern accent. She'll ALWAYS be my favorite Dorinda.
My favorite badass lady cop in THE funniest comedy EVER, Raising Arizona
@@janelliot5643 That's a good one but my favorite Coen brothers movie was O Brother Where Art Thou. She had a small role.
@@dskwared2u610 small role but it was bona fide
@@janelliot5643 George is now a bona fide pater familias. I'm not aware if the little Clooney twins can sing.
Elastigirl Herself ❤️❤️❤️
when I was a kid in New York, I had to shake my sneakers in the morning before putting them on to make sure to get rid of any cockroaches in them!
One of the best actors of our time!!
Was also on Saving Grace which I loved/ co character now appears in Swat as Lucca/ enjoy both of them as well as the guy who played the Angel in Saving Grace all great character actors
Saving Grace !!! One of my favorite series of all times.
I Love Holly Hunter!
Loved her since seeing Raising Arizona, long ago. Also still my fav Nic Cage movie.
So right...I saw that at the theater way back when, lol. Remember thinking how understandable that she would steal a baby...they had so many. Positive vibes from New Hampshire, remember to be kind to each other and yourself
"Turn to the rahht!"
"Oh, Hi... I'm barren!"
"He's an angel straight from heaven!"
These lines have lived in my head since opening day of Raising Arizona. I worked at the movie theater and saw this probably 15 times in the theater.
I have spent one night in my life in NYC and I woke up with a cockroach on my shoulder. To be fair, it was at the YMCA.
Ah, you are one of the blessed chosen ones. It usually takes up to a week.
She's a fine actress and I like the way she talked about Jane Campion. The BAFTA's were on Sunday, and Power of the Dog won Best Picture, Campion won Best Director, and Cumberbatch won Best Actor!
Love her so much‼️
HH is boss!!!!! Love her!!!!!!
Weird seeing her the day after William Hurt died. They were costars in Broadcast News about 35 years ago.
Yes - I was wishing she would say something about him.
these are not broadcasted live, it hadn't happened yet.
He raped and abused Marlee Matlin so he's a POS
i love her so much
Just saw her in Succession
A friend and I shared a small apartment in downtown Minneapolis that we lovingly called the roach coach. We didn't have mattresses, just foam pads that we had to fold up and move to the side of the living room/bedroom/dining room if we wanted to do anything other than sit on the floor. The kitchen had a one burner stove. It was nuts. We had cans of RAID just inside the door and we would run around spraying every roach we saw when we turned the lights on and they went skittering. I one time woke with one on my arm. Honestly, though, the baby ones were kind of cute....
Obviously I’ve never seen a baby one. Damn. I live where there’s huge flying roaches in the summer, there’s not much one can do to avoid them flying in, other than not opening the door after dark. But it looks like NYC would invest in a yearly dusting of boric acid, it’s plentiful, & cheap… only takes a minuscule amount to be effective & kills by drying out the bugs, leaving little to no evidence of them.

Cool dress that suits her unexpectedly well. But is it blue & white or black & gold? We may never know.
yo seth is fine
1993 Seth, 1993! This is an outrage to Piano fans everywhere. Oh the humanity! Andy Samberg approved this message.
Hey Seth, NO QUESTION on William Hurt? Swing & a Miss...
Was this recorded before the announcement of his death??
Seth, love u, but what's with "one of the best female directors there is"..? Whats wrong with "one of the best directors there is? Don't hear people saying that about male directors. "Quentin is one of the best male directors" for example. Such an extreme emphasis on gender in the U.S. ..(and the world at large). Change comes through language & actions. Let's get with the times! Bisou
exactly!!
Let’s hope he corrects himself! Correction!
is she in a new movie?
Annnnd now I've gone off my peach tea.
Don't piss on hospitality.
was she the woman from So I married an axe murderer?
Nope, that was Nancy Travis.
She was in The Positively True Adventures of the Alleged Texas Cheerleader-Murdering Mom.
Only clicked on this to see if you bring up the mistake from corrections.
😘😘
Holly Hunter? that's Joan Cusack
:)
lol
This interview seems really upconfortable for both of them.
Not as upconfortable as this spelling
Seth says "our first guest", but its just him. He has no side kick and doesnt even talk to the band. Say "my"!
No reference to his near _faux pas_ . For shame, Seth.
Oh, darn! I was hoping for the mention!
Does anybody in the acting industry say anything bad about eachother?😉
Not in public if they want to keep their jobs.
@@EricaGamet it sounds so fake when they constantly praise one another.
Look up Christopher Reeve on David Letterman saying he was disappointed with Marlon Brando.
start flexing those arms
Houdy ed!
How is this guy a host? Nobody else wanted the job? The first time you giggle from behind the desk at your own terrible jokes you should be shown the door.
Why the heck didn't he ask her about William Hurt dying? They were in Broadcast News together. BTW she looks nothing like she once did.....I know people age but damn! Love that her voice is still the same though.
Maybe you're just used to seeing overly plasticized people on TV. She is lovely. Aging without surgery should be normalized in Hollywood. The only difference I notice (aside from natural age progression) is that she appears to be even more fit than she used to be. Her arms are in fantastic shape.
@@erikagray9883 Totally agree. She looks fantastic.
To the OP: As to why Seth didn’t ask about WH, it may be because Hurt isn’t exactly a beloved figure in the industry. So, Seth may have chosen not to poke that particular nest.
@@erikagray9883 I just kept thinking how beautiful she is still... and how nice that she isn't one of these plasticized women. Her and Jamie Lee Curtis are aging beautifully.
@@EricaGamet And Sigourney Weaver and Sally Field.
@@jedijones I haven't seen either of them in a couple of years, but I can imagine they are as well, yes!
She could use a better plastic surgeon.
Prettier than your mom
Women should just learn to embrace their age. Everyone who has work looks horrible. And it gets WORSE as they age.
Really, Andy, you're the expert on what women should do? 🙄
How about you go back to the garage where you belong & shush up.
@@ChubbyUnicorn congratulations on being the only decent part of this most unfortunate comment branch.
This was your big takeaway from this piece? That you felt you had to share??? 🙄
