Experimenting: Growing Potatoes in a Compost Pile!

It’s going to work great. Charles Dowding plants his in compost. I drop mine on the soil and cover with 8-12 hay/straw/broken down wood chips. Great harvest. Easy too.

I’m looking forward to your updates on this project! I planted potatoes for the first time ever this year - in grow bags & also using “intense planting spacing”. So far so good - they’re growing green tops. Next - potatoes! 🤞🏼😂

It might turn out good. I have seen folks growing potato under rice straw successfully.
