You need to get a video of this long move with the combines once
yea would be interesting, i hope we get it !
Propably won't be as interesting as this. Seeding rigs are way bigger.
"Don't look back" -- absolutely right -- nothing back there except history
True, but sometimes looking back is fun while you watch history unfold in front of your eyesđ€Łđ
Give it FULL SEND. Like water fowl your cupped and committed, ride it out.
Mike, this is a beautiful thing your doing. Your showing me what has to be done by the farmers who produce our food. May you have a bountiful harvest.
I canât imagine the chaos this would cause in Ontario lol
right, it would be nearly impossible with the traffic and the people that play chicken with oncoming traffic and transports that can disintegrate them and their entire vehicle in milliseconds, trying to do that in multi-million dollar machines that take up the whole road would be extremely dangerous.
We do it quite often, just not quite as big. 3 tractors and planters and in the fall 3 combines 3 grain carts. We're far enough north its not terrible tho. If you were trying to do it in southern Ontario that would be ridiculous.
Try doing this anywhere in Europe. Mission impossible.
Best part of these transport videos is hearing the engine and the gearshifting. Sounds so good
Mike grabbing gears while pulling that hill gives me flashbacks of cresting passes in the Rockies with our 5th wheel RV and 6.2 Ford gasser.
Hell of a note to get on the stuck list on the road.
7:50 I love that the tire tracks are in sync with the frames on the phone. Looked like you werenât even moving
Well technically the world was moving under him đ
You forgot about the guy who did the soil sampling to add to the Stuck list đ€Łđ
being a Farmer is so easy !
riding on a highway with the big rig !
contemplating the scenery with so beautiful landscape !
doing nothing more than praying to do the road without problem !
so many poeple see it like that !
but i dont think that i have the courage to do it
i dont think that i would be abble to risk that much money on the road
i dont think that i would be ready to put that many hours to be a Farmer
THANK you for doing what i can't
THANK you for feeding the world !
when that suv passed the convoy in that valley, it looked like a little tonka toy compared to the massive tractors and equipment. it really gives you an idea of the scale of the equipment. again, thanks for the vid. im looking forward to the next one.
You should have put the Car in the Ditch. People act like they are in more of a Hurry thenthe Rest of Us. Great Video.
Mike for moments when the dam thing wonât quit beeping I always turn the volume down on that monitor! Itâs a life changer!
Is an option on a 4600 for Red Alarms?
@@mikemitchell2554 Iâm pretty sure. Go to settings and display and there should be display sound. Worth a shot anyways!
Hay Mike just started to watch you guys . Yes your wheels are Smoking. I was a Farmer. And so was my wife Maria. We love farm work and the Animal s that are. God bless your family
Thanks for the ride along Mike! Love looking at the land and equipment.
Sure is pretty country out there Mike, thanks for taking us along
That landscape that starts at the bottom of the hill alnost looks like the Bad Lands in South Dakota. Beautiful!
Stay safe and thanks for another great video!!! Been pretty awesome watching you over the yrs!
I roaded with my cart half full once...now I know why they say never transport with product....freaky 3 hour drive lol
Mike I really love your videos. Never a dull moment. Thank you good sir
Love watching your videos Mike in England, keep up the good work
Thanks Mike for the ride along it was neat to see the terrain and big machines. What May 11th and snow heck no lol.. Love and be safe from Indiana đșđž
Informative and well conveyed. Love your vlogs â€ïž
Man love listening to that tractor of yours spool up when. Your climbing that hill, she was a gruntin, gotta get back in to it, thanks for sharing awesome content mike, you rock,
Whoooweee that was some road trip going down and up them hillsđ
Great video Mike safe travels with your drills
Super show Mike ! Very interesting big impressive operation ! You guys and gals got big balls
0:45 that has got to be a farmers worst nightmare because you don't know if the alert the tractor is sending you is just a sensor malfunctioning or something catastrophic has happened, but i think the same alert sound happens for every error code or alert the tractor will throw at you.
Yeah my JD 9510R has the same beep to tell me I have low oil pressure and that I'm not sitting down...
Yeah, information is nice to have but when it's useless or something that doesn't stop your progress, like a sensor issue, should never make sounds
Hey Mike, thanks đgreat driving skills, textbook đ
yeeehawww a wopping 24 mph lol but seriously wow the sound of it wining down as it's climbing is crazy but the little Johnny poppers doin it! Lol
at 7:10 was so cool. Camera shutter speed perfectly matched with the rotating speed of the track.
1:38 I was actually just wondering if those tractors have engine brakes. Thanks for answering before i could ask lol.
That looks like the Big Muddy Valley we went camping through that area last summer I found it absolutely beautiful. Hopefully we can go through Southwestern, SK again this year.
Pro tip: If your brakes are on fire, drive through a carwash. đ
St. Louis middle of the night hub fireOn my box. Not a good scene lol no place to pull over.
That is a good way to be sure you destroy your brakes.
And once against, nice a sky's you gat there Mike.đ
* Uploaded 4 minutes ago * -hell yeah, that's what i need right now.
From this camera angle this grade doesnât look bad. But when youâre in something big and heavyweight đđŠ, from the driverâs seat đș,
It looks like a ski â· slope.
And that smell isnât just tires, thatâs your brake pads burning đ„
I love the smell of asbestos in the morning... :)
Nice job Mike!!!
Doing a great job with the videos there Mikey Mike Mitchell.lol you can really see how big these drills are when that suv passes on the highway 8:15
Great video once again, a drone up in the sky showing all drills roller and trucks all in a convoy, that would be a good picture
Move to the country they said, it'll be fun they said. Gets stuck behind a convoy of tractors at least a mile long, said no one lol
The force is strong with johnny popper
Ya gotta put an asterisk by Mark for getting stuck on a move, if he ends up tied with someone it'll be a tiebreaker đ
That car passing was a good display of just how freakin massive those carts are.
and how incredibly stupid people can be when they're impatient.
Great video man.
Great awesome video mike
I canât believe someone did not run this route before they took it. Lol I think youAll are pulling our chain.
I dont think he is pulling our chain, cysse I someone did go and check beforehand as soon as they saw the snow they would have said it was a no go. So they were definitely going into it blind.
@@robbybachmann8061 They came back last autumn with same rigs via this 37 route
@@robbybachmann8061 they have a pilot car at the other end of the valley so they were not blind
Think about horses and wagons on the valleys with out roads!
pretty country at least (imo).
Must be good tires, not overheat with a half full seed tank. But it beats having to unload and reload.
Best thing to watch after surgery

I believe I have been through that ravine when I goose hunted in your great Country. It is pretty, but it is long and deep.
That is the quapel valley. I probably spelled that wrong but anyway
Just discovered your channel mike. Really enjoy your content. I really appreciate u explaining wat and why u do the things u do. Very well done. Thanks for your time and trouble it takes to do this. Iâm from Saskatoon and the Tisdale area. Where about is your farm if u donât mind me asking
Thanks
can't see that going down to well here in the uk lol u be mobbed of the road!!!
Hi, love your videos, find them very interesting. Some beautiful scenery there. Were is that highway in the valley?
The vastness appeals to some one from Ireland
Hey Mike, wonderful stuff - nothing seems to frazzle you much! When does moving distance become an issue and is it possible/impractical to empty the carts before such a long move? Keep doin what youâre doin. Stay safe. đđ
Just stunning.
Over here in Germany you barely see a fendt 1050 and never with such trailers.
Hoe much does each of these road trains weight?
Just awesome to see such huge equipment âđŒ
Mike's rig weighs empty ± 80 metric tons, with one-third load ± 92 metric ton and fully loaded ± 115 metric ton.
Beep beep beep beep beep beep. Just a courtesy reminder you are driving a DEERE đđđ
đ€Šââïžđ€Šââïžđ€Šââïž
is it just the deeres that do that? i have no idea what im talking about, asking "just in case" i need to buy a tractor
@@yourmomlmao9638 donât ask a loyal Deere owner. They will disagree â đ
Dont you have a bypass switch in the cab for the cart brakes? We have one. Going faster doesnt take pressure off the cart brake system btw, it is tongue-weight activated, not speed.
Great video mike , slow trip đ»đ»đ»đ»đ hello from Australia đŠđŠđŠđŠ
Isn't this the same valley crossing road you took last year? Maybe it was only with a semi, but that 'settlement' at the bridge looks familiar. 'Course, all settlers build in the valley's, that's where the best soil is! đ
Shoulda brought another five tractor to double-up on the hill climb! I'm sure you coulda rented a few at this slack season... WHAT?!!! That crazy driver was passing with DOUBLE YELLOW lanes!!! Where are the RCMP when you need 'em?!đ§ đ
I really think you should invest in a couple to goproâs, you could have one on your head and 1 on the drill or something I think that would look cool
To solve the problem with the surge braking on the carts, you need something like a reverse solenoid, or some way to lock out the braking when you are going down a steep slope or backing up a hill.
Then you end up with wrecked brakes on the tractor.
Going up hill, hit that propane boost for more power..
Looks like Elbert County, Colorado.
I love the video and have you ever have your tractor make you shut off your tractor
We need longer videos
get a fendt Mike! you will be doing 60 km uphill!
They have a 1050 fendt lol it suffers the same thing all the rest of the fendts do which everyone complains from lack of power.
That sounds kinda sketchy that the cart brakes dont work off the tractor brakes haha holy moly
Surge brakes are quite effective. As the trailer tries to overtake the towing vehicle the brakes are applied without any input from the driver. The driver always has a lot to think about without worrying about the brakes too.
@@ernestrollins383 Oh wow okay that changes my mind then. Thank you for the info!
Man I liked the content of the moveâŠ
That is a mid roller. The idler wheel is the trailing yellow one
Was waiting to see the lineup at the top of the hill but guess not this time. đ
That hill is a bitch. Surprisingly there havenât been more wrecks on it. I remember waaaaay back hustling down to Frontier to do a cement job and was running behind. The office warned me about that corner and I scoffed it off. Nothing like a brown trouser moment in a top heavy load in Mexican overdrive at night to wake you right up.
I am surprised those tractors had to work so hard climbing that hill.
why? pulling close to 200000# up that slope
@@richardschipper5989 I get it, but thought if you can pull it all loaded, in the ground at 6MPH, then on wheels/pavement should be easier?
Torque is what you need for pulling, horsepower for speed. So if the JD did have 700 or 800 horsepower they could be flying up those hills
@@jeffpaggett7274 thatâs a huge hill, with 200,000 pounds and 620 horsepower, 10 mph is pretty good
@Doug Falstad red tractors actually did worse than the Deereâs last year AND the Case had MORE horsepower
great video mike! I'm just wondering, how do you decide in what order you go down the road? Is it random or who feels like it or maybe something else?
Random haha
@@mikemitchell2554 My best guess was "the heavy stuff" first
Think i'll get back to watching my paint dry.......
Iâm surprised Mike didnât say âyour brakes are smoking good sir.â
if you think about it a drone would be a handy tool in these kinds of momenst.
Nice views out the window
Mike what would you have to do with the drill and tank and tractor if you blew a brake on the highway
JD is imitating a road runner - - BEEP-BEEP. Naw, it is more like Wylie Coyote's tractor, made by the Acme Company.
So the largest ag company in the world is like the acme company? Great analogy lol
@@chadjustice8560 That was tongue in cheek. BTW, Cargil is the largest ag company in the world. JD comes in at about the third of Cargil's value.
Morning
well at least it was the pick-up that got stuck and not the drills
So crazy to me being a fruit farmer here in Michigan and our most powerful tractor is about 150hp and we don't even use all of it. And then you've got guys like Mike that have 9620 rx and use all its power and could use a little more đł
Google
Big bud tractors. They still have them In use.
Does the stuck list apply when you are in the middle of the road?
This has to be incredibly hard on the equipment. I can't imagine toting all that for 75 miles each way is healthy for the operation.
It's not really that hard on the equipment.
đ
Go on Mike look back you daredevil !
Hey Mike, do you have to treat your track tractors differently on your long moves. Iâve heard of that tracts get hot on long road moves.
They get out and check every 10 miles or do
My guessing is that they arenât moving fast enough for air if your on along move
Smash that beeping sound
I think I would have hurled that monitor into the roadside ditch đ€
They you wonât have any diagnostics and will have worse performance
What would the alternative be here for such a long move? Have semis haul the tractors?
@@lynwessel2471 yeah, I know, I was just thinking out loud, so sue me...
DOT needs to add another lane for tractor passing.....
Isn't there an automatic mode for the gearbox, do you always need to shift manually?
Depends on the tractor, in this case no.
The tractor would've sounded amazing with a straight pipe going up the hill
i guess this move didnât have a preplanned route like the oversized loads for trucks
It does. He did mention it in part 1
