I’ve been listening to this song on repeat for hours. I only discovered it last night. It made feel less alone. To me, it symbolizes that little, mundane things are really miraculous when your life is filled with chronic illness, pain, grief, and depression. It’s something my parents and the people around me would never understand. How can a normal day where you do nothing but have a little less pain, and get to see a pink cloud at sunset feel like the best day of your life? What an exaggeration! But these days, I have to take what I can get. I’ll never get amazing. But mundane, “a little bit better”, a few minutes where I am not actively suicidal, can be MY amazing. And no one needs to understand that but me, although it can be a little isolating.

As someone life with depression, this song hits home. Finally some words relatable what I felt when the depression goes away. It's a real illness. Black fogs where we barely see how livable live is. And beautiful, somehow. You finally in the moment when worries and anxiety were gone, serenity and safety appear as your truest nature. The compatibility within yourself so that you're being here on this planet. And then depressive episode relapse again. Yet this song is still relatable. It can be related in our lifted up moment and the other way around.
