Me, a 29 year old man, takong notes and watching Phil continuously address "girls"
You go, man!!!!
LOL.....I heard Jason mentioning that to him once when he teaches cooking...that's funny. Many, many men are great cooks!
Back in the days when only one parent needed to work to support a family, fathers worked hard, goods were american made and women raised respectful responsible well mannered children.
our society has been subverted
lol too funny!
You have to look at the generation he comes from. It wasn't unusual for men OR advertisers to address women as "girls." It wasn't seen as inappropriate.
This man showed me how so many cooking channels take themselves too serious. This was way more fun to watch!
Phil is the only one who can call me a girl. Love this dude.
😁
Lol
LOL!
¡¡¡You go girl!!! 👏
@@majliescobar8975 .this summer I was wondering what you 8217W
I love Phil bless his heart. It’s funny how he addresses the “girls” when cooking. Many a hetero male including myself will be making this. Lol
For all you know, some women are behind the camera...He does the same thing when talking to the "boys".
😄
I thought so too. But my wife told me that these videos are helping to let women know it’s ok to be a wife. Feminine and domestic.
I appreciate the credit
Shows how old fashioned he is.....love it!!!
I wish I could hang out with Phil for a day. He's like the coolest uncle I never had.
"Dude, this is not going to hurt yoir manhood."
Mr. Robertson, you crack me up ! 🤣🤣🤣
Except he called me a girl the entire time I watched the video….
@@ronmarchorro2992 LOL...
Phil is a great example of a Godly man! Apparently he cooks more than Miss Kay now. So sweet!
She is hurting from a dog bite, a good man steps uo, for his sweetie, he makes sweets
Phil has been cooking up a storm for years now, long before Mrs Kay started having all her mishaps. Mrs Kay still bakes like crazy though and lovingly cooks when they have guests. Plus Jay cooks a lot for them also. I would sure gain more than the "Duck Commander 50" if I was part of the family!
Phil was actually more of a cook then miss kay in the beginning, he explains things in his book and she explains thing in her cookbook
@@amyanderson9652 I have all his books and I have not read that. What book are you referring to?
Godly man but cheated on her multiple times
Mr. Phil and Mrs. Kay, I'm getting baptized at my church tomorrow. It's been since I was a little girl and that was many years ago. Love watching y'all cook on here. 💕💕
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Congratulations 👏 and God bless you 🙏🙏🙏🙏
God bless you ❤️
@@thistlesmom2706 It was a great experience. So glad I could get baptized again in later life.
Congratulations and God bless you! 💕
He’s a wise man and knows how to cook
You ain't a man if ya don't know how to cook.
I KNOW RIGHT?! DO YOU JUST FIND THEM IN LOUISIANA? DO I NEED TO MOVE?! LOL I'D DO IT TOO BUT I THINK ALL THE GOOD'UNS ARE MARRIED OR DEAD!
@@tracy85777 In Texas here.....just be patient and it'll happen on God's time if that's what He planned for us. It's not easy being patient but that's about all I know for Sure!!
Knows how to screw around to.
Phil is the master chef of Louisiana backwoods hands down.
Probably a better chef than most of the clowns that are on TV cooking
Not as good as Ms Kay though😉
Mrs. Kay would probably like a word with you😂
He is exactly what he is ,100%. I love that about a person… This man is priceless 👍
I can’t get enough of Phil and his cooking!
Hello Lisa
How are you doing today?
I wish he was my brother. Don’t have any, but would love to have someone like him influencing my life.
I just keep watching & listening to their podcast because I also WANT to always be surrounded by Godley women and men!
He is my brother in Christ. A good man.
Went to cooking school for 3 years and i love Phil he explains everything beautifully.
"Look here Girls..See Girls!" LOL lol My goodness I love this man !!!!God bless you Uncle Phil!!!💚
Darn it Phil! I’ve made these twice now and we can’t stop eating them!!!
I’m gonna try to make them!!!
I love how Phil teaches us how to make morsels of love in a few short minutes! We can share this love with family and friends without spending hours in the kitchen!
I was in Savanah, Georgia a few years back and I had just about the best food ever in that town. Came upon those pralines made fresh in a little side street confection Shoppe, and no doubt, they were delicious! Thanks for the recipe and I am definately going to make these pralines and take a walk down memory lane. Best pecan pie as well! I thought Georgia was known for peaches, but I think Southern Food is the best in the world! Y'all know how to cook!
I love the shops on River Street in Savannah, Georgia. The food, the people, the parks and the history. Excellent vacation spot.
Been to that shop, they were delicious
Yep! Savannah Sweets and River Street Sweets have some of the best pralines I've tasted. I've just begun learning to make them at home because 1. I hate the long drive into town for them and 2. The cost is so high! Phil's recipe looks alot like theirs though so I think I'm gonna give it a try.
LOVE THIS!!!💖💖💖 I Love that Phil is teaching us Girls How to Cook💖 and that Phil was covering all aspects 💖💖💖 Look forward to the next cooking lesson from Phil for us Girls💖
Pralines are indescribably delicious to me, perfect simple recipe right here from big Phil. If you wanted to quickly roast the pecans beforehand it would work almost as fast.
Can’t wait to try this! Love Phil’s Louisiana bayou accent - “prawlene”. Here in North Carolina we call them “praylenes”! 😂. Thanks Phil - they look delicious! ❤️
Pray-leens, praw-leens…I jus call ‘em 😋 YUUUUMY!
Some people get so hyped up about how it is pronounced. To me I don't understand why it's a big deal. Idc what anyone calls them they are delicious either way!! 😂
Hey, homie! Raleigh native.
Phil is saying the name correctly, You, in N. Carolina, are the ones with the "accent". Remember, they originated in New Orleans.
I made miss kays sour cream cake last nite with lemon cake mix, lemon extract (pure) and a lemon glaze. There is one piece left! Sooooo yummy!!!
Hello Carol
How are you doing today?
This is my favorite candy and I had no idea it was this easy to make. I'm trying it!
me too, a delicacy
Hmmm…serve Pralines to my guests? Well….I must confess there’s a good chance I won’t have any left after ‘sampling’ them! 😋💗😁
I cooked this Saturday after Thanksgiving. Showed my oldest girl how Phil does it. Had a blast and they were super easy and came out perfectly! Delicious.
Love it... disclaimer: no man hood was harmed in this video :)
Oh YUM!!❤️
Thx Phil!
Blessings in our Lord to your dear family.
Hello Sarah
How are you doing today?
I know what I'm making for Christmas presents! Here in Oklahoma, we call them pray-leans.
In Ga too.
In Wisconsin as well
And San Antonio, Texas. My grandma used to make these all the time. I'm gonna make some in her honor. Miss you Grandma!
Us to
Can’t wait. How is Miss Kay? First time I am watching you cook.. love you and your family., you guys make me laugh
Just made them for my family, amazing. Thanks Phil
Dudes making pralines and he could afford any dinner at any restaurant 365 days a week. Humble.
Don’t know what’s in it if someone else makes it! Plus Phil whipped these up quicker than he could drive to town!
This man has touched my heart.
Phil Robertson taught me how to make pralines!! Who would have though!? Thank you Mr. Robertson and may God continue to bless you.
I made these for the first time! My grandma use to make them and I remember as a kid it was my favorite thing she made. Thank you for this, sir! God bless you!!
My grandmother used to give old tin cookie cans full of pralines, fudge, peanut butter cookies and other homemade treats to all of us each Christmas. We kids could not wait to get them. Grandma had one condition for receiving the treats and it was that we had to return the tin cans back to her. What great memories.
When he did the wolf thing I died 🤣😂 omg I love Phil
Omg the recipe works as written and shown and it takes 10 minutes from start to finish! They came out perfect. I did add 1/4tsp pumpkin pie spice to test for upcoming holidays and it is perfect. Thank you Phil ❤️
Great recipe Phil God bless you
Long term illness, I cant cook anymore . My husband does all the cooking now. He loves it, and can cook better , than I ever could think about cooking. Who knew? He didnt, and neither did I
Praise God!
Wendy a Christian, hi, if that illness is Lupus or other autoimmune do this: 3 months on the pesticide poisoning stripper that removes heavy metals too, Floressence Tea 2x daily, on empty stomach whenever possible. Directions say hot but cold full strength works too. No floride in its water or wrecks 40%, no plastic touching its water or wrecks 60%. Next clean every G M O food out of your life, especially G M O canola hiding as 34% of every oil bottled by Ma fia. Use any Trader Joe oil, or California olive oil with a blue butterfly, not Costco blue butterfly oil. This clears respiratory diseases, except a little overlap from yellow G M O corn. You may use any white corn. Next: a severe Keto diet 6 weeks. We even dropped carrots ,onions, and coffee. This kills any parasites associated. They can't breed without carbs. The first woman to do this all at once was cur ed before week 6, by blood work and symptoms. I had taken much of a year with God helping. We both started from the Lupus unwarned falling stage. If you don't make the 6 weeks keto use only beans as your carbs, black, pinto, or navy. If nuts are allergins skip 4 weeks and use each only 1 time in 2 weeks. Start with paecons, do cassues last.
My family usually only eats pralines for Christmas. We like to make them and give them as gifts to family and friends.
That's what i do also, and everyone loves my presents the most!! Ha! Take that, big box stores.
May I ask how you “package” them for gifting?
@@janetwelch9040 we usually layer/stack them on waxed parchment paper. We use Christmas cookie tin containers if we’re gifting them and want to be fancy but if you don’t have one of those we use Tupperware containers and a Ziploc bag.
Thanks for the reply!
@@janetwelch9040 it’s not uncommon for people to gift Pralines, Fudge, Millionaires, Holly Jollies, And Divinity. The Divinity is the hardest to make because the weather has to be right or the Candy won’t form. Divinity is my favorite. We also make Peanut Patties and Peanut Brittle. Peanut Patties are found in most stores and is a year-round dessert and peanut brittle is usually found around Christmas time also one of my favorites around Christmas. A gift of any of these fine candies is Southern Hospitality at its finest!
Oh my gosh ... Louisiana pralines are the best 🙌🏼🙌🏼 am from Louisiana by the way 😂
I love cooking for my wife, actually and I cook for us atleast 90% of the time
But...do you clean up after cooking?

Love me some pralines. We make them on every holiday and so delicious.
I never realized how easy it was to make them.
@@pisteuostew5911 easy peasy. Give it a try, you won't go wrong. Lots better than the store bought stuff. Good luck.
I gained weight just watching this! Phil is the best🙂
That’s the first time I’ve heard someone pronounce it “prah-leans”
Phil is a great teacher needs his own cooking show....guess he got it here. Young cooks need to learn to just dive in and try it. Don't be scared of cooking.
I love the way mine came out after following your recipe. The evaporated milk made a big difference❤🙌🏾❤️
Thank you
Phil's cooking shows are my favorite on the you -tube!! Love this praline recipe 🥰
I started making turkey in a boiling bag for me and my brother when I was 10. I always liked to eat so I learned how to cook. Nothing like making food for a bunch of family and friends. Food is love
I love to listen and watch Phil cook! He has the BEST recipes and his technique is right on. You rock, Phil!
Love Phil's cooking lessons! And I try them out.
And these are amazing too. I did use dark brown sugar and an 8th teaspoon cinnamon. Fabulous.
I love it when you and Miss Kay show us your southern home cooking 💕🙏🙏
I met Phil at church and he doesn’t add to or take away from anything that’s you watch on video. He is exactly what you see.
Thank you, Phil! 🙏🏽. Everyone is gonna love me at Christmas 🎄 time!!

These were super easy to make and delicious! Thank you Phil!
Best quote of this video
"It won't hurt your manhood to make these. So get in the kitchen and make some pralines."
Amen Phil
Your thd best phil. 👌. My family is from Louisiana. I was born in Texas. Luckly we went every summer to visit my grandma.. uncle Joe.. Buddy my grandma's boyfriend/helper and the rest of the family. Loved it. Everyone chipped in and helped out like a fzmily suppose to do. Granny made the best treats... biscuts and gravy and what they called louissna coffee that we ate every morning and eggs.loved my family visits with them. They are gone now but not in my heart. I wish i could cook like them. Your the closet to her cooking so thank you. She made pralines witch she called pecan candy. Best grandma ever in my life.GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR WONDERFUL FAMILY.
We LOVE YOU MR. PHIL❤😘 THATS AWESOME!!! I GOING TO TRY THIS RECEIPE TONIGHT
Yall love him. Why was his show canceled?🤣🤣🤣
Always wondered how to make these! Thanks, Bro. Phil!
Mr. Phil , I just made your recipe for the Pralines. I always found this intimidating for me to make. I followed your tutorial step by step and let me tell you they came out so good. Thank you so much for the recipe, tutorial, and for sharing it with us. God bless you and your family always.

Thank you Phil ❤
Absolutely wonderful!!! I'm making these today!! Keep on with the cooking shows, Phil. Please I love them!! Thanks for all you do!! God bless!!
How did they turn out?
I absolutely love these cooking shows!
My daughter has a nut allergy, I wonder how they would come out with broken pretzels.
I think they would be sensational! If you try it, let us know. ☺️🤤
You could probably put anything in there as long as it’s something that isn’t going to melt (chocolate chips, peanut butter chips etc)
Hmm sounds interesting
Sounds like it would be amazing! Melt a little chocolate and smear some on the top of them! Would make them even better I bet! 🤤
you can leave the nuts out and they are still a delicious candy!❤
Love the sound effects!
Thank you Phil I started following you & I’m very impressed by your humility & testimony!!!! May God continue to bless you, use you & your family!! Much love from Kentucky 🐎🐎🐎
I like how her just gets right to the point, no messin around! 👍Am going to try this asap! Thanks Phil... Love the recipe 💗
Have to go shopping tomorrow just added more to the list
Hey Phil thanks as yesterday on a recipe being in So. Cal. I've never actually seen made. So Godbless & lookin like I'll have to give it a run for the money. Looks delish.🍻🎆🎆
My grandfather was a bricklayer in Cleveland, Ohio. He laid bricks by hand on high rise buildings with Lake Effect winds from Lake Eerie beating him down. He would come home from work and soak his hands in Epson salt everyday. He was the toughest, manliest man I knew. Also, he loved to bake; pies, cakes, tarts. He loved to sit down with a recipe book or watch a cooking show on TV. Some of my greatest memories were sitting on a stool and visiting with him while he baked. The house smelled so good and he always made it funny by imitating a Julia Child voice. So glad he didn’t think baking was women’s work!
Those are sweet memories for sure. Some men do think a kitchen is only a woman's place. They are not that well rounded then in my opinion.
A master at his craft you cannot get any better than that amen. Thank you, Phil we love you in, PA.
I love how he’s southern & Pronounces praline as pro instead of pra.
I’m a born Floridan. My dad’s from GA & my mum is from England. Guess which parent couldn’t help us with our homework. 😁 ummm ummm along with pecan rolls.
