One of the best body styles GM ever came up with. Just a work of art.
Totally agree with you
Definitely!
its alright
@@yungtooli You even old enough to drive?
@@spammusubi3218 i get my permit next month
This car is absolutely SICK
I’m not a Pontiac/LS/G.M. fan but the build quality and attention to detail makes any gear head sit up, take notice and admire what we have here. Well done. And as always Sean, great choice of whips to dazzle the audience.
We are all car people in the end
Sincerely, a GM muscle car fan that thinks R34 Skylines and Mk4 Supras are gorgeous
Edit: Almost forgot the E39 BMW M5😍
huge firebird fan! totally loving the quality of these videos..and I love your honesty that shows through on camera, not an easy thing to do, and you seem to do it with ease. congrats again
Honesty that shows through on camera? Smh
I am a 67 year old car guy with a 64 Riviera and this is the first Firebird I like. I have always liked Camaros over Firebirds. But the stance and overall look of this car is bad ass. The colors are great too, I really like the blue. Cool ride, thanks.
I’m 67, too - and a Camaro-like touch caught my eye; the impression of the deeper grille opening by carrying the grille mesh down to the valance slots! A lovely touch, like many others! That’s the great thing about F-bodies in the 21st century, esp. early T/A’s - they improve with age by standing out more & more... Shawn, another great choice of classic to feature....!
Early 2nd gen F-bodies are the peak of car design. They look so good.
I’m with you. My favorite muscle car
thats usually the case with car design. Early designs were better than the later years. The fiero is a great example. I love those little guys but they kinda fell off towards the end. I really wish GM didnt kill the tin indian cause it would be cool to see if a modern firebird would have this retro style
@@boeing175 I would say that the Corvette peaked "mid" run for lack of a better way to describe it. The early C3s with the exposed bumpers are the best looking Vettes.
@@thejoshbtv cant argue with that.
Edit: The 3rd gen look was actually based of of the Banshee that DeLorean came up with for Pontiac. Look it up shes a sexy little thing.
@@boeing175 That is a good looking prototype they made. It also looks like it was the basis for the Opal GT for Europe.
Gorgeous! As I've said before I'm not normally a huge restomod/pro-touring fan but I really appreciate when they're super-tasteful like this and the Grand Am you did recently. Stunning car. 70-73 Firebird/TA is still my favorite musclecar.
The blue on black is amazing. Such a killer looking car, definitely a performer too. Great build all around
I want it for my daily. It’s the perfect amount of power to be able to actually. Have fun with.
Not a lot of talkin going on. I think that's a good sign. Great interior color. Great stance. Good sound. Nothing wrong with buying turn-key. I dig it.
Had a 74 T/A 455HD. Lots of fun. Bad ass ride.
Those are cool cars. I love what they did with this one
I've said it before - I love Pontiacs. Slick T/A
Man thats one badass 73 Pontiac Firebird.
That car is GORGEOUS!!!
Yes it is and drives really great
That's no joke !! The second gear spin was impressive !!! The 6 speed is such a great move, more efficient, get's the power down, and just hum along up top.
Agreed. Very cool and perfect to daily drive
Beautiful car and nice build. My first muscle car was a 74 Formula and I've always liked the look of Gen 2 Firebirds and TA's, especially the 73's and earlier, before they started integrating a front bumper.
That's an awesome T/A, dig the color combo!
Hell yeah bro that's a nice car..always been a huge fan of the Firebird and it looks like an awesome build 425 to the wheels is no joke..loved seeing you do a good burnout..lol
Beautiful build. Finishing my build except no LS, my 75 Trans Am, Pontiac 400 is stroked 462ci and at 420hp/520tq mated to a Tremec TKO 600.
Absolutely fantastic ❤️!!! HAIL from 🇮🇹
Wow that blue interior pops. Great looking car
I love this car!
Man, no better car review channel on you tube when it comes to old muscle cars.
Thank you! That’s what we love showing
I think it’s outstanding! I absolutely love the 2nd gen. The blue on black is sick! I can’t get enough of this channel.
Great car. Love the little chicken decals. Very clever touch.
That is one beautiful car 😍
Killer ride 💪👊
I really like that the interior was kept mostly stock especially the 'engine turned' dash. What really put it over the top when it comes to attention to detail was the fact that the roll cage was painted the same color as the rest of the interior - nice touch!
That is perfect. I also love that it has a short rubber shift boot that let's you see the full length of the shifter unlike the fancy leather ones that go so far up.
I believe I can shed some light as to where the color/stripe inspiration came from which you should find helpful. It was taken from a 1978 Macho T/A #106, nicknamed "BRUISER". It was the only one done in this color scheme of the 204 built in 78 & the only Macho built for California. It was a special order that Dennis & Kyle Mechum didn't even want to build because they thought that the blue on black wouldn't work (remember it was 1978). As for me I think it's simply stunning, I own Macho T/A #29 Atlantis blue/Silver & I prefer #106, this is just a beautiful T/A my friend, enjoy in good health!
Thanks for the info here!! Wish this was mine…
@@AutotopiaLA You're job must be tough considering all the nice cars you get to cover but sadly can't own them all. Thanks for your terrific channel!
Loved these cars since very young.
WOW, what a ride. I owned a 75 T/A, two 70 Formula 400's. Love those gen 2 birds. And this is one sweet T/A. Thanks for sharing this car with the world.
always wanted to do this
just havent had the cash
power and reliability
thing looks completely stock but with a surprise
I know what you mean. I’d love to have one like this
Beautiful car. Didnt want super loud. Or super fast. Sometimes people get over stimulation with all the over the top stuff.. perfect car. Perfect driver with power and attitude.
Interior is spot on
Old Pontiacs are rare. Engines also. Nice Chevy swap. Very cool. Perfect daily driver. Nice TA.👍😉😎🤩
Definitely a perfect daily
Stunning looking pontiac and it sounds great
And it drives really nice. Cool restomod
Have wanted a 73 trans am in Brewster Green with the Tan interior forever. Would love to have it restocked like this.
I hear ya! I want one too
Perfect mix of old and new, well done!
This car is awesome. The styling cues are subtle and respectful, yet everything is there. I would daily it, too. A Vegas run is always a temptation.
There is a lot of work done in this car...... 💖💖💖💖❣️❣️🤘🤘👍 Superb..🤠🤠
Sure is. I really like the choices on this build
Welcome to the Autotopia club, especially because it's a Pontiac. Very nice car. Look forward to seeing it at the next quarantine cruise. 👍👍
In my opinion, this car is the definition of a perfect restomod Firebird. The details that make it so are there and they are subtle instead of bitting you over the head with the over the top mods. On first glance it looks simplistic and boring, but with a closer look, its actually intricate and well put together. The love from the owner really shows..
Just freaking out of this world! What a cool driver.😎👍
That's such a cool car. Love that the gauges have the stripes like the car!
....and all 4 2” gauges!
What a beautiful build! Love it. Thanks ATLA as always you guys are the best.
My dream car! Great job on the build and video!
As much as I love the old Pontiac engines that LS6 is just so damn streetable along with plenty of power. Great car !
A 350 Real Pontiac engine can make more drivable hp than what that over rated LS turd does
@@byronmcelfresh2380 It is such a turd, that is why so many people use it. Haha
Yes sir Love it man and nailed it with that interior doodle that is so cool looking is the instrument oh yeah perfect
Very clean build and drives really nice
I'm in freaking love!
Love this car. The 77-78 trans ams get all the attention because of Smokey and the Bandit but the earlier second gens are cool too. That 1-2 burnout was sick.
I always thought from a kid that the 2nd Gen F-Body Pontiacs(Firebirds and T/As) were always better looking then their corporate stablemates the Camaros. Much better styling.
@@colinw7205 I like the early (70-73) second gen camaros but 74 and up I don't really like that much but the 74 and later trans am, yes I love those cars.
Love it. Beautiful ride
Those are actually c6 zo6 brakes with the Pontiac stamping on them
The interior is so welcoming, great work
Love that interior. This whole build is done right and built to drive
Beautifully done tasteful hot rod 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Just Beautiful !
More Trans ams please !!!!
Love this. Super clean
The bullnose TA is my personal favorite muscle car ever, this one is fantastic!
Gorgeous trans am
I thought the same thing
Love your videos!
Beautiful car, awesome driver!
Almost sounds like a Pontiac wit those flowmasters …nice burnout at the end 😆
Absolutely love that interior. And i second that, i would for sure drive that daily!
Mopar T/A logo on the decklid spoiler. I've restored several 2nd Gen Fbody cars. Really like the 70-73 Birds. Killer build
That’s a really nice restomod. Updated performance to match the style while keeping that 73 vibe. A moment of silence for Pontiac, gone too early, ruined by corporate bureaucrats.
Andrew buys some Dope-ass rides.. that made the day ! What a super sexy car
Thank-you so much for bringing us along for a ride 😅
KK
He does and this is one of my fav rides we’ve shot from him
This is absolutely sick 🔥🔥
Incredible work on keeping the shaker functional with the LS platform. Looks amazing
Simply beautiful 🔥
PERFECT build!!!!
Now this thing was interesting to watch. It was so stable and controlled looking. When you drove it was just smooth and precise looking. It seemed real crisp and was done perfectly.
What an awesome Trans Am! Congrats man. Kudos to Alex for another nice build.
Great looking car!
Love it!
This car is so beautiful hands down. I love watching this channel so many beautiful cars .
Perfect in every way.
Once upon a time in my life, (early 90's) I was lucky enough to be able to get a number matching "70&1/2" R.A.3 TA. White with blue stripes.
I had before and after owned many cars, including 'cuda, GTO...but that little F-body still is my favorite. Sadly I sold her when I left the country to come back to Europe. Nevertheless, the way that restomod was built is EXACTLY how I wanna my next TA's dream car to be.
Spot on man!!!
I had a 67 custom Vette in that same color combo. People either loved it, or hated it ! I think it's awesome
I love this build of the best designed TA. That's really a 70 Firebird TA interior in that 73. Personally, I like the low back buckets of the 70 style 😎
The 1970-73 Pontiacs really look the best in my opinion. It's the stance of this car with those wide meats on the back. It just sits right.
I'm in love with this car !
Nicely done. Looks like a great fun driver. Be safe and stay well.
Beautiful car man!!!
Some will say it doesn't have enough power but honestly 420-ish isn't that bad for a reliable car set up like he has it..Good brakes and suspension..I bet it's really sorted and fun..👍🏽🏁
Absolutely LOVE IT , MY uncle had one
I wish he went over the air filter box. That is pretty custom.
Looks good with the matte/flat finish and love the color of the Interior
That stretch of road is right near me in Laguna Hills. Avenida De Carlota. That's a sweet build right there.
We shoot down there pretty regularly at So Cal Classic Car Storage
@AutotopiaLA That's very cool. Are there multiple cars in there owned by friends?
the f-body series is my favorite. got a 79 camaro but the 70-73 firebird is my dream
Superb ride 👌🏽
I love the dulled stripe and graphics treatment
That’s a beautiful car, love that year TA, the colors are perfect.
💥NOTHING LIKE A LS ENGINE😎
Me 76 Regal sure does enjoy the 6.0 LS in the bay....as do I.
@@AbstractDreamz Regal....nice😎I have a 00' Regal with 400whp
Pretty Car !!
I like that a lot. I think that is a perfect balance of a good looking classic muscle with very nice updates.
Dope !!!! MEAN!!! I love it !!!!
Car is awesome!! Love the matte blue stripe that matches the interior.
Such a well done TA
Beautiful
That's sick
It is. I’d drive it every day
Awesome 👍 Firebird.
Sweet color combination 🤙🏼
Just,wow!!!!!
