The relationship between the gods and humans in Gensokyo is very meaningful... I think it can teach us a few things about how faith works in our world, too. No matter what we believe to be true, people's faith, whether it be faith in themselves, other people, or even a god, will certainly end up having an impact on something. Faith is indeed a very powerful tool that tangibly affects our world.
Anyway, these lyrics were exceptional, and I'd say this may be one of your best works ever. Amazing job, Lyrica!

You made these lyrics fit Sanae's personality so well! Many people say they think this theme doesn't fit her at all, But I have to disagree, This theme gives me the vibes of a confident young girl who will always try her best no matter what, It also sounds like something from a band, And I get the image of Sanae playing a guitar whilst singing xp
Another great track. This one feels especially meaningful because of what has happened to me in the last year. You see I went to anime expo for the first time a couple years ago and it lit a spark in me during one of the panels. It was a voice over panel on FLCL progressive and alternative. I was feeling jealous of a good friend of mine at the time. He started making videos on youtube and loving it. He started an abridged series with no prior voice acting experience and I could see him come alive when he spoke about it. He made friends and even a girlfriend through it and I felt kind of left behind. I kind of resented him for that since I always wanted to do something creative but never had the confidence or willpower to do it.
That panel lit a fire in me and once I went home I signed up for voice coaching. At first I just did it because I thought I would be decent at it and told myself I could always quit. That small, terrifying, act of clicking to book an appointment has quite literally changed the course of my life. My coach has been the wings beneath my wings and given me the confidence to truly work towards what I want. One day it clicked and I decided that if I am going to continue I am going all the way and she said she could see the difference from one lesson to the next, but I would not have had that revelation if not for her giving me the confidence and resolve to keep going.
I talked to my dad a bit ago, who's opinion I respect a lot, about if I was doing something foolish by pursuing work in the entertainment industry despite realistically low chance of success. He told me that yeah it's foolish, but so was trying to put man on the moon, or creating the internet, or starting any small business when the odds are almost completely against you. he said some people like himself and my grandfather prefer a safe and conservative style of success, but people who actually do great things are those who look at the odds and say "Fuck that! I'm doing it anyway!". This is just another reminder to have faith, because that is an essential part of success. I'm going to keep moving forward and listen to this song when I need a reminder to believe in miracles.

In my opinion, it's because you're an atheist that the concept of faith is stronger.
If you think about it, if we hear someone at the church saying they have faith in something, we kinda just ignore it. It's the usual. And that makes the very concept of faith to twist. The more they use "faith", the more it morphs into something unrecognizable.
On the other side, when a scientist has faith in something, you don't even need to question it. You know they have dedicated themselves to something so much, that they have this... Feeling, deep inside. It feels more pure.

@@ZaerothUrabe Ehhh... I'd say that faith is quite recognizable... And your interpretation of the "faith" of a scientist kinda misrepresents science, doesn't it...? I mean, it's less becasue a scientist "dedicates themselves to something" that makes us trust them, and more that they dedicate themselves to scientifically studying something that makes us trust the conclusions they arrive upon... And the "feeling, deep inside" that scientists get is not really "faith," either, it is "understanding."

Isn't it because you are an atheist it makes faith and religion more "magical". because in the concept of your mind they are non existant it becomes more beautiful and ideal, kinda what the touhou fandom has with idolizing gensokyo, a place we know can't exist and there are constantly violent encounters and disturbances for the non magical human locals but we still love it.

I’ve held this faith dear since the first time I heard -in an odyssey song-
Faith in oneself is just as important as faith in God, if not more. When I had cancer, it was my will to fight that helped me survive. Faith is an important thing to hold, so never lose it. If not in whatever God you choose, then in yourself.
I love the soft-voice you used for her. It’s like she’s bright and wide-eyed, but she’s still shy. She’s soft spoken and loveable. As a shrine maiden, she’s a good listener and interpreter. At least that’s what I think.

Lyrica, have I ever mentioned how much I love your end cards? They dont just intrude randomly at the end of a video--they're so flawlessly seamless.
You know, I listened to this song a few times but only recently really stopped to listen to and understand the lyrics. Once I finally did I realized how much they actually meant to me and frankly I almost cried.
God I love this one so much. This may be tied with Emotional Skyscraper for my all-time favorite work from you. It's so emotional. So positive. It truly makes me feel like a miracle could happen any day whatever it may be. This was something I had waited for officially since Reincarnation and secretly for much, much longer. I've listened to this constantly from Patreon and certainly will continue to on here. I honestly cannot express how much I love this.
The lyricism is not just superb but evidently at the service of characterisation rather than the whims of the writer. We can believe Sanae or Byakuren would sing their respective themes, and so it works perfectly.

Beautiful, as always. I'd say that you captured Sanae perfectly here; I did expect a song about her angsting about having to leave her home with no say in the matter and her devotion to her gods, but this exceeded my expectations by miles.

MoF Sanae's theme is by far and away my favourite touhou song, and now I have lyrics I can sing every single time I listen to her theme. Judging by the name (transient means 'temporary, fleeting'), I thought this song was gonna be about how people with faith don't tend to live that long and how immortals know that faith is wrong.
I always read the title as "Faith is not for the benefit of the gods who receive it, but for the benefit of the mortals who hold it."
