  • Stroke is a major cause of morbidity, out of which most of the cases are seen in the Emergency department.
    Physicians and medical students must be aware of the various presentations of Acute infarction, hyperacute infarction, chronic infarction or encephalomalacia and subacute infarction in a CT scan.
    CT scan or cat scan is used in the diagnosis of stroke.
    MRI can be used in case of hyperacute stroke ,to diagnose stroke and to guid e for further management of the patient.
