      @@cube1cze actually their chief design engineer for their Street division came from Ducati, which can be seen in the design element of the 450 SR/SS. Either way they have a very menacing and distinct look that kind of sets them apart from the rest of the players in these segments and not in a bad way at all. If you were to strip the brand decals from the bike you would easily mistake these as European manufactured machines.

    You guys in the states don’t seem to have the advanced model according to the USA website, The advanced model adds keyless, steering dampener, quick shift, and Apple CarPlay ready 8” screen. Done nearly 1000kms in Australia and loving this bike. The app logs all the rides, sends notifications if the bike is moved or vibration is detected so essentially if it’s stolen you can find it quickly and on top of all that it has an auto wake feature when your walking towards the bike (just like some cars). The competition offers none of the apps features let alone at this price. Gizmos aside it performs and rides very well. I worked for Motorrad for years and the connected ride app ain’t nearly as polished, Shows how much the other brands are taking everyone for a ride (literally)!

    I bought the CFMOTO 650GT for my first bike as I'm a bit older and have some back problems. The riding position is so comfortable its a fun bike because its defiantly not "Fast" so you can ride the crap out of it and you are hardly breaking the speed limit. as for quality, it's well put together everything is tight and feels good but I have only had it for 2 months so I cant talk to the reliability piece yet but I haven't seen any red flags from other owners.

    J-Jaun was bought out by Brembo and they made some of the best braided brake lines. It's like Craftsman was bought by Dewalt and as other company's was and you could take a plant tour and see every brand they bought being built under the same roof with the Logo Dewalt on it. My CF loves 5 to 6 grand where the PowerBar comes on strong and its an NK. I have no complaints. I with mine and I have had it almost a year. Cool you got to ride one of your most anticipated motorcycles, happy for you!
    Funny you mention people want to see a lot of tech and/or features for the lowest price as possible or the most reasonable price I guess?
    While I am here sitting like: ...uhm.. nah..don't need lean angle sensors, anti wheelie control, ride modes and what not. Meanwhile my bike although having heated grips and a windshield added/ It doesn't have ABS (it is optional when it was released a lot of them were sold with) no traction control or ride modes etc. Just an analog RPM gauge a display with time, coolant temp, fuel gauge, speed in km/h and of course total km's ridden and obviously the indicators, neutral indicator, low beam high beam control light and an engine check light I think which I can't confirm since that hasn't lighted up, lol.
    I get rider aids are useful especially traction control and ABS, I see value in that, and sure cruise control can be a nice feature as well. Same anti wheelie stuff for safety but it wouldn't be my demands for bike. Maybe later they'll become more of thing or something idk. So far just really happy with my bike and the features it has. Really learns me how to handle a bike without helping aids. Note: Not opposed to any of the technologies being added on bikes or cars even, but I do think they are overdoing it occasionally.

    I got a 23' MT-09 as a first bike this year and one of the first things I did was adjust the suspension myself and while yes, the stock base suspension is pretty meh, especially the rear shock.... I am continually surprised by the amount of owners who suggest a steering dampener because they get speed wobbles above 90MPH. I have taken my bike all the way to the ECU top speed limiter and never had wobbles or even an uneasy feeling in the front end.
    I am glad cruise control seems to becoming more and more of a base model feature now, definitely something I wish was a feature on my bike.

    The price on this bike is adequate actually. That's the average price of similar bikes on Chinese market, it's competitive.
    A side question: would you still support your words about Svartpilen 401? Is it a decent choice for a scrambler? At this price point in China I could get a decent 600 v4 (although it's a cruiser). Kind of in the middle of making this decision

    I test rode the 450ss and the CX-L a while back. I was pleasantly surprised by both, but especially the 450ss. They both felt very well made (aside from weirdly squishy turn signal switches, and a very strange power band on the CX-L). I think that if they could just somehow convince more people to test them out, the stigma would wane quite a bit. People scream about China with this sort of thing, but don't even blink twice when buying something from Walmart or Amazon that is almost certainly made in China.
    I'm personally very interested in the NK800. It seems to tick all the boxes that I'm interested in and at a ludicrous price point.

      That's because when we buy things made from China at Walmart or Amazon, the price we pay, including taxes, is clearly listed with the product along with a generous return policy is the item does not work as intended. With CFMotor (or any manufacturer for that matter), we know not price nor reliability, and there is no return policy whatsoever.
      Let me leave you with a quote from my nearest CFMoto dealership that's advertising a leftover year CL-700 for $4900. "Advertised pricing excludes applicable taxes title and licensing, dealer set up, destination, reconditioning and are subject to change without notice."

      @mogthemoogle_160 Před 8 měsíci +1

      @@langhamp8912 Well, the argument about hidden fees, etc. applies to any bike you buy no matter the manufacturer. They never include the freight/tax/tag/title/assembly fees on the sticker, that's just something that pretty much every dealership does irrespective of the brand. As far as reliability, I understand that stigma a bit more since a lot of Chinese bikes in the past have been pretty terrible, but CF Moto has been in the game (albeit behind the scenes) for a long time making engines for other major manufacturers (KTM primarily, but some others) so they have more credibility than most other Chinese brands.

But be careful because folks get really pissy when you say these are KTM engines, the Kove folks for some reason are like, "No it's entirely different" :).
