My favorite Movie of All Time! it's a shame none of these companies haven't attempted to make a 6 to 7 inch articulated Toyline of this movie, i have the old X-plus figures and the Gentle Giant ones, now i collect the Star Ace versions, i just wish we would get some that has articulation, the Medusa scene from that movie is still one of the creepiest things ever in any movie! Ray HarryHausen didn't need any CGI effects, he is the Stop Motion King!
We don’t really know if Charon is older than the Emperor …because Star Wars actually took place LONG, LONG AGO…in a Galaxy far, far way. 😂 …great video! Really enjoyed it
Watched this movie back in the days when gramps' Betamax still exists. I actually have no idea this line was released...lucky you, Mike, to be able to have these figures.
So cool to see these. I haven't seen them since the mid 80s. I had percius and pegasus, calabos and the boatman. I used the big green inhumanoids monster for the cracken my favorite scene is the Medusa scene.😊 I was 4 when I had these so I didn't care about articulation and calabos scared me.
I had Charon and the Kraken! Wh\y did I destroy them when I was 15 and too cool to have them!?! My dad worked his ass off in a steel mill so I could have those toys.. I wish I had been more grateful as a kid.
Wish they did a medusa ,hated Calebos was wearing brown on the figure but was blue in the movie. Needed bubo the owl and the female to rescue, they could have done so much but he man was coming and the movie wasn't kid friendly.
The Kraken is one of the jewels in my collection (along with Tiamat!), he’s so iconic and goofy Have never seen a Pegasus for sale in the UK, would love one but hey. And totally agree it was such a shame more figures weren’t made - a Medusa would have been so good
This movie rocked the reboot sucked! I also wish these companies would go back to 3 3/4in standard not these 6-8in figs! Due to cost & space! Esp with Joe as that line wasn’t just about the figs but their rides & bases!
Funny you make a video on this because out of curiosity I watch the classic movie last week and I was blown away! What a fantastic adventure for the family and yeah to learn that the special effects were made by hand actually got my attention! I wish a company would modernized this 81 classic line as action figures I would definitely collect them! I love the ugly Medusa she actually freaked me out in this picture!✨✨✨✨👈

A modern line of these would be great along the line of Neca DND figures

Excellent collection. I agree. Prices are a little crazy now. I just got Pegasus and Perseus complete and never thought that would happen.
Loved this movie it started my love of mythology and history. I only had Calabus and yeah, that tail broke off in no time😂
Back with yet another awesome trip down memory lane.
I can’t believe that I know this but She ra’s horse with wings name was swift wind
Great video
Just looked it up and looks like the same mold except the wings are strap ons
We definitely need more action figures based on Ray Harryhausen movies 🎉😁👍 Great review video 🎉
Would be great to see these characters get the modern treatment

This was a fun watch every time back in the day! Great memories

The 80s have been called the decade of excess and those Inhumanloid monsters along with the Kraken prove them right
@@tydiriumhanger1320 so true, I had every toy like me that came out from 77-89
I had two Persues. I got the first one with Calibos then Pegasus came out with a figure included
parabéns pelas figuras são fantásticas

I appreciate the daily/twice daily vids, but it’s okay to take a break, you know… for the fam. 👌
Ha Yes I do get lots of family time but burn the candle at both ends
@@tydiriumhanger1320 Ditto
I had them all except the kraken.only have thallo now
I enjoyed these figures as a kid. I have them minus 2 swords and a shield. I played with them a lot until GI Joe came along and dominated my toys.
So many of these smaller lines came and went while Gi joe Dominated

June 12 1981
Thanks this is part of why the 80s was so great!

Such a short lived line that could have done more! Yes to a Medusa
Wow, you have the Kraken Mike, that probably cost you more than a $1000...
Mine was a cheap self made version
@@tydiriumhanger1320 how you did it Mike?
I wish a true parallel remake of the 1981 movie would get remade. That 2010 mess was pretty much an embarrassment in my opinion.
It’s one of favorite movies but don’t collect the toys though
It was a fun movie to watch back in he day and still worth a revisit today
Zeus was PETTY

True I was reluctant to get onboard with the 6 inch scale and for all the same reasons I am growing tired of that scale

The effects were so creepy and still have that scary feel today
