Today we will be studying Item number SCP-504: Critical Tomatoes, Object class: Safe.
SCP-504 is a species of tomato physically and genetically identical to that of the typical commercially-grown tomato. It was recovered in [REDACTED], Kentucky after a woman reported to the police that her farmer husband had been "murdered by his lunch".
The Foundation is currently working to identify and destroy loose strains of SCP-504 in the surrounding commercial farming areas.
Note: Whoever snuck SCP-504 into the cafeteria kitchen is getting terminated. Those tomato slices are like f*****g shurikens. - Dr. Blast

Joke: so SCP Orientation put out another thumbnail with a Busty D-Class, at this point I think the Foundation should change the designation to the Double D-Class and start saying they’re the Sexy Containment People.
Result: several 504 instances spontaneously appeared around poster in their residence and [REDACTED].
Clocking speeds of over 250 mph. Poster is currently in comatose state

It might be a resources thing. Recordings are less of a resource drain than using a D-Class.
Dr. Bright is not permitted to send instances of SCP-504 to any late-night talk shows. While I agree it's been over a decade since any have said something that could remotely be considered a good joke, we can't risk exposing the existence of an anomalous object on live television.

I've heard of several instances where people provided an audience with rotten tomatoes and other veggies.

You know the old-school “Produce Pelting” trope where, during Shakespearean times, the audience is pile throw rotten produce at bad performances?
This is the SCP SOLELY for that practice.
Thing is. a "Bad" joke is relative. You may think one joke is terrible. Meanwhile, the person next to you is laughing their ass off. Does it make it a "Bad" joke? In other words, the Tomato is like one of those mean evil critics that never happy with anything. All because they were bullied in school, have college debt due to a shitty college degree no one wants, and low self-esteem but they end up getting a job where they have the power to make and break anyone or anything. And that is the joke. And we ain't laughing.
Somebody submitted the file of itself to it. This was such a good joke that it collapsed into a quantum singularity.

I want one of these in my work place. One of the employees says really lame things and tries to convince us it's funny by bellowing out a forced laugh and when someone cracks on him, and we all laugh, he does that childhood bully laugh to make fun of the guy making the joke... as if the actual funny person isn't funny. Maybe after he gets a few teeth knocked out he'd stop *trying* to be funny.

This item was tested poorly. I want to see if you put a steel barrier in between the joke teller and the tomato to see if itll avoid the barrier to hit the joke teller or if it will increase its speed to beat the armour. Also id like to know if telling the same joke later affects its speed.
