I don't know how serious anyone here takes Whoscored (I do), but they have Gallagher ranked as the 2nd best player in the league so far with a rating of 8.02. He's absolutely hit the ground running

If ever there was a January signing to make, it’s him on a permanent deal. He’s unbelievable and still so young.
Definitely get it done in Jan, he's going to thrive with palace, won't get a sniff at Chelsea sadly, their loss if they want to loose all their young homegrown talent, if it wasn't for Frank mount wouldn't even be in contention 😬
I think if he goes back to Chelsea, he’d be making the same mistake Zaha made going to United. It’s a great opportunity to play in a champions league team, there’s no denying that, but a brilliant player doesn’t even get their chance in that squad. Look at Mount, Havertz, Werner. Amazing players that could absolutely change the game at Palace, but can’t even get 90 minutes in at Chelsea, often enough not even 10, and they have no room to shine. Chelsea is full of bench warmers just like Gallagher, and I think honestly anyone would be miserable in that situation, let alone a lad with his talent.
I’d love to see him play here on a perm, and I think it’s where he belongs and would be happiest to be honest, and not just for this year.

This kid is a box to box upgrade on Ngolo. His energy level is quite good (not on Ngolos level yet but who has ever been) and his skill level is much better
