This deeply resonated with me. I've had a hard time "letting go" of some things (and people) because I've had to let go of so much already. This will help me to reflect on what is and will be important going forward. Thanks for sharing.

You make a lot of sense. You brought up many thoughts I have had.
You have beautiful eyes that sparkle.

Really enjoy watching your videos , your voice is very calm and soothing .. have been on the minimalist journey for many years and there are ups and downs when you fall back into old patterns ( mindless shopping) it’s nice to see / hear your take on minimalism and good reminder for me to relook at my clutter 😅 . Thank you for sharing .. love from India 😊

I am very similar: I have many, many things I enjoy doing. Some of them are a phase (knitted 2 years almost every day and then suddenly- over). Some I pursue for years (I am sewing a lot for 6 years). Some are forever (reading). Some I need to pause for a time (writing). I got used to my interests always shifting. My solution: I only keep basics. I am not a perfectionist. I always consider what I can’t go without if one of my hobbies suddenly hits me (happens very suddenly most of the time). So I basically have one dresser with miscellaneous craft supplies (knitting stuff, gift wrapping, supplies for card making and „old things“ to repurpose like a monopoly game I use for money gifting for moving parties). I have a shoe box of video games. I have a few language books. A guitar. But I let go of my stone crafting stuff (won’t happen), a lot of video games, most of my wool. „Active“ hobbies might take more place (sewing, board games, books, plants) but I still try to keep it simple. For me decluttering hobbies meant making time for them. Prioritize what I want to spent my time on. As I have small kids I still struggle with this but I pursue my hobbies actually more often than before having them (and before finding minimalism as a tool). For me that’s really a success.

That sounds perfect. In hindsight, I wish I had your mindset when my daughter was small.😊 I am still holding on to my carving tool, though. Somewhere deep inside, I probably also know it won't happen, but my brain still needs some time to accept the truth, I guess.🥹🙂
