Really poorly designed traffic ways. Too many lanes are given to cars. Roads in the city and at the entrance to the city should be limited to 2 lanes with focus given to comfort of pedestrians on the streets. In the city centre there should be no cars allowed whatsoever. Begin Road/HWY#50 is an urban disaster, and should be retrofitted for bicycle and pedestrian use, as well as crossings for pedestrians. Auto traffic coming into Jerusalem needs to be split away from HWY#1 and diverted into several other passes to the north and south. Some of these bypasses already exist, but more are needed to remove more traffic from HWY#1 and eliminate the outrageous number of lanes at the city’s entrance.
