- Meghan Markle and Prince Harry arrived for their first official public outing in London after stepping down as senior members of the royal family two years ago. As they walked down the aisle of St. Paul’s Cathedral, every head turned to catch a glimpse of them. Harry’s brother Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton arrived 10 minutes later. Inside the church, they were seated on opposite sides of the aisle. There was zero public interaction.
It wasn't a reunion, it was a formal Jubilee Celebration for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. That's why everyone was there. It wasn't about them it was about the Queen's long reign as Monarch of Great Britain.

It wasn't an icy reunion, Charles and William were there representing the Queen in a ceremonial role they weren't chit chatting with anyone. Except The Princes Royal briefly. There wasn't any socializing with anyone of the other family either. And all the non working royals were sitting in the second row and working royals in the front.

The Harkles were not supposed to walk in solo. They were to ride in the same vehicles as Princesses Eugenie, Beatrice, etc. They were late arriving the departure and had to get a private vehicle. They deliberately ditched the grand luncheon afterwards leaving the other family members short-handed in welcoming the attendees on behalf of Her Majesty. Reliable sources said they were seething about their seating. Well, one thing's for sure: The Harkles' royal status has been redefined by Her Majesty: They don't have any. And what would Gayle King know about any of it?

I bought into the love story at first, but now I'm over both MM & Harry! No need for a "fake" reunion, they oculd have done good work within the Royal Family. Good the Queen's advisors sorted out so they could be there but not be obnoxious.
All reports at the time they left said they offered to do both, but your Queen was advised it was all or nothing. So they had to leave.
