I've been watching since 1993. I was a preteen. I wish they would do half of this for Independence Day. The last Independence Day celebration I saw was 1998(?), and it was so lame.
From 35 years in the fireworks display industry... it's time for them to bid this show out. This display was very lackluster. They were disposing of a bunch of garbage in this show, and they know it. Bid it out to a company that creat a better show for current times as well as the bragging rights to thia show with contracts they would be awarded from local or state municipalitaies. So in portant to keep this even alive as well as the customers and sponsors of such a grand event. They shouldn't have paid no where close to what they allegedly did for this display in 2024.
The fireworks were great and it was my first time experiencing them but the air show wasn’t that great. Me and my fam sat over in the great lawn or whatever and the air show plus drone show was more focused on the area to the left of the firework bridge. So nobody to the right could see much. The black hawk show was nice but I wanted to see the Sea Dragon and that didn’t happen. Definitely disappointed with the air show.
Sure, let's let the scourge of the earth dictate our happiness. Those people will be dealt with accordingly at appropriate times. What I seen were endless smiles on children's faces and youth having fun. Parents showing their kids how to have fun. Sure, there is all of what you said going on. But in a society that does not want those things, we must not end the good our lives have to offer!!
It’s sponsors that make it happen the Government isn’t paying millions for fireworks. I’ve also been homeless in Louisville during Thunder…. We should just ban any happiness because something is happening somewhere not good???

Yes it was one of the cakes that had on there I believe it got pretty big

We have homeless everywhere, used needles on the sidewalks, and multiple murders everyday but let's spend millions on fireworks
You do know Thunder is funded by sponsors and local businesses? Has nothing to do with the government correct?
