- Basically I use a silicone band to fix the position of the spring bar and then use a thin knife to compress the bar tip. You have to pull the band towards outside at the same time compressing the spring bar. This is an idea developed from Garmin forums. Sorry for not remembering their names. Thanks.
It's easy when you do it right:
The strap (or anything else) under the axis is an important key to success. I failed on first try because my strap was too thin, which caused failure is the next step. The force sideways prevents the end to slide back into the hole in watches.
I would be more cautious about finger injury, though.
I've successfully done this with Fenix 7S Pro. Then, I've used 3D printed rings to make the diameter smaller, so that I can use QuickRelease bands.
These are the dumbest pins I’ve ever encountered. Amazing video. Thank you for stopping me before I broke my watch 😅
also worked for me. thanks!
Thnx, it worked for me!
Glad it helped😅
Man I hate removing things like these pins, it’s so janky 😬
Can you put it back?
Great video. I bought an alternative strap too....but my point is: after replace the strap, if I want to remove again, WITH the strap on, the job will be more harder....
You remove the pin again, after this video, WITH the new strap ??
find some other pins. regular ones
How to put them back on
This looks like really good way to stab your finger with a razor lol. Good work though, seems like it would be easier to just dremmel it or cut it with pliers? Obviously it would be destroyed but.....if you want to use a standard spring bar that fits 99% of the bands you see out there, you have no choice.
Im going to break it but I will try
Even you break it, you can order on Garmin website for as many as you want, $2 per pair😅
