- In this first episode of I USED to be a Psychic Podcast, I begin share my own personal testimony of how I was a practicing Psychic and Energy healer for years and give a bit of background into how I was initially sucked into the world of New Age beliefs and practices.
Through the grace of God, on April 5th 2022 he saved me from the deception I was caught in and through His Holy Spirit revealed to me the dark truth behind the New Age.

I never understood....most people who rebuke the bible and say it's all lies and we christians are insane and out of our minds have never actually read the bible for themselves. They've never taken the time to seek him for themselves. If they would he WILL reveal himself to you if you call upon him with an open heart. Jesus saved me last year and I'm so incredibly grateful. Give Jesus a chance. He is the ONLY way!!!!

They will only discuss the bible through New Age/pagan/Buddhist/Hindu secondhand sources that "interpret" the truths of the Bible for them, instead of just praying to God and reading for themselves.
Or nitpicking and taking verses out of context just like Satan during the temptations in the desert.
Jesus was the illegitimate bastard son of an adulterous promiscuous Jewish woman. Jesus had a biological human father who was not Joseph because Mary had an affair. In other words Mary was not a virgin. She was an easy woman. Casper the friendly holy Ghost did not rape Mary and impregnated her. If you believe in ghosts, holy or otherwise, you have a primitive mind. You belong in the Middle ages. It is basic biology. A woman needs a human sperm to get pregnant. Casper the friendly holy Ghost cannot impregnated a woman, never has and never will.

I was a new ager for years, super deep into it. Then I met the actual literal devil (long story but new age was involved) and had to come to Jesus to save my soul from a pact I was coerced into. As I was being saved I ended up throwing out all my oracle cards, crystals, and new age books. I'm so grateful to be saved and to be in a relationship with Jesus, nothing I clung to in the new age has given me a fraction of the love and light I've always been seeking and found through God. Christianity is legit and I'm so happy and alive now.

I understand how you feel. I’m Jewish woman who is psychic and medium who never gave readings etc and one day I felt Jesus and God come over me I as a Jew know Jesus exists. I realize just as you and I took every book every card every Crystal and threw it away I bowed my knee to God and asked for forgiveness. He is real and for a Jewish woman to say this takes more than you know. As soon as this happened I met that demon the one you talk about it’s a her a she is frightening. I never channeled or worked in the New Age and when she made herself know it was so frightening. She almost got through and thank God he arrived just in time and I got to meet her outside my body not in but an inch or day later and I know she would have made it in. I have to say it's so wild coming across your channel. I used to be a "lightworker" before God graciously opened my eyes as well. To hear you say how you felt on that journey, the fear you still felt in the new age religion, really resignated with me. I used to try everything for this fear and anxiety I used to struggle with and now being a Christian for 2 years I forget that feeling. Now I don't fear darkness. I don't seek out "spirits" anymore, I just feel this calm. I found your testimony incredible, especially your possession experience. I never went through that personally but I did feel like something just followed me all the time and it wasn't until I was saved and read the Bible and learned that Jesus exercises demons that I prayed for him to do so for me, to rid me of this presence or whatever was happening and I have this new calm and self esteem I never had before. I am so glad you are sharing your story because you really seem to have a lot of knowledge and the ability to really explain this in a way that I hope more new agers will be saved. Was in new age from 2002 up till now! Got overt obsessed in 2020 when the pandemic hit. It’s been around 2-3 weeks I’ve found Jesus again and have decided to let go of all this demonic stuff. It never brought peace only temporary relief and I mean vert temporary. I was deceived too and hand promised to let go of everything . It’s a process cause I was so dedicated into healing others who would come to me. I still have to get rid of my books which I paid a fortune for . Not to mention the money I spent on crystals which I’ve removed but the books I still have in a corner.
I want to sell them all if I can and just donate the money to a cause / charity. I’d love some advice on this pls Daphne. I appreciate how you shared your story and I am so sure I made the right choice to follow Jesus and leave behind me all this illusionary situation. Yes things can manifest but it opens doors to spirits and demons. This is something I didn’t know back then. I feel so much better now and I believe Jesus loves me and wanted me to be saved . After all the years of new age this is a big transition

I used to be a "psychic" too! Thank you Jesus, in Him I found true peace, joy, and love that I didn't have to work for. True peace is in Jesus Christ. He saved me from demons, sleep paralysis, chronic vivid nightmares, addictions, suicide, and so much more. I thought that through new age practices I could find healing from traumas, however true healing is through surrendering all to Jesus Christ. For God said "I am your healer" and it is so true. I pray you all find true healing through Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who is love. God bless you all, in Jesus name. amen.
You are so right about the healing.....I know that pain is GOD YAHUAH'S way of getting our attention.....and all we have to do is PRAY AND REPENT....he knows our hearts and we are to tell others our testimony of what he has brought us out of..... and he qualifies who he chooses....you are not qualified then chosen.

I have a sort of similar testimony that started with the "Conversations with God" for teens book. I was into Angel Cards and crystals, and law of attraction and all of those things, and one day I had an encounter with God and my life has been a whirlwind since then. I remember being so upset because the Devil is so sneaky! I thought I was doing things for God when the whole time I was deceived.

I genuinely find it sad when people believe in a god who condemns people to eternal conscious torment for temporal human existence. I genuinely cannot imagine believing in the evangelical Christian god and having children. How could you ever justify bringing a child into the world if your creator might damn them for eternity? The woman is a Christian and they held a “spiritual night” that we attended. We encountered the love of God and gave our lives to Jesus. We witnessed so much deliverance and healings take place. ❤😭 truly amazing that God knows exactly how to get to each of us. Bless you.

I used to practice new age stuff too.... my biggest regret is the damage I might have done to other people... the false hope, the lies, the hurt.... It is hard to bear.

I thank God that yet another person has been freed from false occultic doctrine into God's Marvelous Light and into His true love for them. I have been watching a lot of these testimonies lately and it really seems like God is on the move and is calling His people out from the darkness. It is so encouraging and amazing! Welcome to God's family, sis! ❤ I have a small request, I hope it's appropriate to ask this. I believe that God has given me the gift of discerning of spirits. I am trying to hone this gift more and to learn more about it. Basically in the past God has revealed to me different things about people, on a spiritual level. For example, one time I just happened to know that somebody was a witch without them telling me. I want to grow this gift to serve God better. One of the things that I would like to gather information on is signs of demonic possession. I see a lot of different videos of deliverance, but the demons never seem to do anything very extreme in these people. I'm not sure if it is because they are surrounded by Christians at the time of the deliverance, or because these deliverance videos are fake. I know that might seem like a cynical way to think, but there are a lot of false teachers in our midst. I was wondering if you would talk about how you knew you had a demon, what you felt like while you had the demon, things like that. This would really help me to understand better. For example, did you lose control of your body while you were possessed? Or did you have any things happen out of the ordinary that someone might have noticed? Changes to the body are things you might notice. Glazed eyes, marks on the skin, strange expressions on forehead, different mannerisms.
Sharing that you where a psychic at a Christian business conference was PERFECT! 😂 You instantly had everyone at the conference praying for your salvation and deliverance! I love your testimony!
Great testimony!! I was in the new age before as well. Then after getting out of it in August/September 2021, I would see my roommate, who's still in it, read tarot cards for others. They would always come back with worse problems than before. I could and still can see this so clearly. Two of the women that she read for are both in the hospital. One woman has flesh eating bacteria and lost all 4 of her limbs, and is on kidney dialysis for the remainder of her days. She only recently turned 40! The other woman, is in ICU in liver failure. She's in her late 40's early 50's. Both are fighting for their lives. I, thankfully, recently moved into my own apartment & away from that messy nonsense. When she was having difficulty recently, I was chatting with her. She insists that she wants to care for the first woman to 'help' her, as she's been her spiritual advisor for years. Unbeknownst to her, she's spiritually dead, bc she's cut off from God by practicing witchcraft. I have this awful feeling that when she says she wants to 'help' her, what she means is that she wants to use her as a blood sacrifice to increase her own rank in the demonic realm that she's clearly stuck in. It literally makes me ill bc this old friend craves power. What she doesn't realize is how the demonic realm is using her to obtain these lost souls. When my Mom was alive (she passed in May 2019) she would ask this old friend what she was trying to teach me. As my Mom knew she was attempting to lead me astray and to death. I've tried telling her that what she's into is demonic. But she refuses to listen to me. She's so caught up in it. I've had a weird feeling that she's sent demons to follow me & spy on me for her own selfish purposes... and has also attempted to lead me to death as well. I pray and keep my focus on Jesus... And pray that He delivers me from the demons that she sent after me. You know when you can sense something following you... That's how I have felt since I moved out. She's also been trying to lure my daughter away from the Lord now as well. She's become quite angry and mean with anyone that doesn't want anything to do with the new age. She's definitely a demonic agent working for Satan. I praise and thank God that He led me back to Him & to the light. I pray that He continues to draw me near to Him, and strengthens my faith in Him more each day. I know that God has set me apart for His great purposes. Even though I was spiritually oppressed for a lot of my life, Jesus has freed me from that. My Mom was right about the old friend leading me astray. But thankfully, the Lord has much bigger plans for me for His purposes. It's amazing how we don't see how evil the new age is until Jesus sets us free from it.
I hadn't realized that spirit guides or familiars that people have in the new age are actually demons!!! No wonder people are literally going crazy. Demons are not your friends and don't have your best interests at heart. They hate humans and will do anything to destroy them.
There's an invisible spiritual battle going on. And Satan attacks our minds. And battles for our souls. What we do in this life determines where we spend eternity. Making the choice to choose God now, to die to ourselves, take up our cross daily, and walk with Jesus is imperative to spending eternity in His Kingdom. Read God's word in the Bible... God is the word and the word is God. Bible means Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. It's a manual to how to live while we're here. God's word is our our spiritual armor & protection against the evil one. We are spiritually deceived when we're in the new age. It goes back to Satan's first lie in the Bible in the Garden of Eden.... That we can become like God.

I came out of the New Age, and was demonized severely, but showed mercies upon mercies throughout the process of His deliverance.
Two things:
2 Corinthians 4:4 states, "The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God."
2 Corinthians 11:14-15 states, "No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds."

Amazingly spoken sister. God too showed me the demon in me when I came out of new age. I had angered my demons. I woke up in the middle of the night bc a demon was speaking out of me and I am thankful because that’s when I became aware of spiritual warfare- no turning back after that experience!

You reach out to the spiritual teachers and they continue to give you more work to do like clear your chakras. Align yourself. You need to heal. And you just continue to do more and more work and it doesn’t end. More money, more time into dark energies. New Age spiritually is a mental torture chamber in disguise.

I do believe God will use you very much to spread his Gospel to newagers. I pray he will allow you and your hubby to witness many friends and family to come into a saving faith with Jesus Christ 🙏 I pray God blesses this channel and your podcast. Thanks for your transparency and being vulnerable especially about how you were saved and how God delivered you from a demon. I have been myself on YT for a year now sharing my testimonials out of new age too and teaching God's word, but I have yet to share my deliverance stories. I just haven't felt a release to do so from the Lord yet, but maybe one day I will. I have been a believer for 12 years now in October and I was delivered from demons in 2017. I have been completely set free from them for 5 years and have experienced so much freedom. I can relate to all you describe in your deliverance experience and much of that was happening to me as well.
I love how you and your husband came to Christ in the same time period and it's just the goodness of God. It reminds me of my marriage and our salvation testimonies too.
I just notice in your testimonies how the grace and mercy of God has been on you and the fact that you were saved from multiple cults is so beautiful (JW/NA). They are just so demonic. One thing I will say is that I have noticed in exnewagers becoming born again is that 1 of 2 things seems to happen. Either they become strongly against the gifts of Holy Spirit (cessation ) or they become attracted to new age within churches in Christianity. I have learned that it's so important to remain committed to holding to God's word, what Holy Spirit reveals to us through it, and to remain balanced in our theology. I see many believers shy away from their gifts because they are afraid to be deceived again or they are attracted to hyper- charasmatic churches. So it's been my journey to try to keep very theologically sound and give room to the Holy Spirit to speak to me & use me, but to not fall.back in to new age beliefs or to think Holy Spirit doesn't operate the way he did in the early Church. I feel lead to say this to you ..keep reading the Bible and just let it teach you. Read it for what it says without so much input from multiple people's interpretations on it or their opinions if that makes sense. Whatever person, denomination or youtuber ect we tend to follow can really affect our views of God's word. So I like to think like if I were on an island by myself reading the Bible without any interjection i would not come away thinking this or that ..or I would think this or that. I hope that makes sense because you are a baby Christian, but you will definitely grow very quickly from milk to meat in him. Sometimes people in Christianity disagree on 2ndary issues and that's ok and why there are so many denominations honestly. I like to read the word myself and I will recieve from people on both spectrums on secondary issues because they are not salvation related.

Another ex-new ager, ex-buddhist who came out of it by grace of god through demonic possession which woke me up from my "spirituality". God is good and merciful. He is faithful even when we are not. No one is lost to him.
You hit every point that I couldn’t put into words when God lifted the vail for me. Even down to the emotions and experiences I felt getting involved in the new age. I was in massage therapy class back in 2008 and they offered Reiki classes and something inside me said NO THAT IS NOT GOOD. And now my Daughter is taking then and I can't tell her anything.....but I knew it was not right to do it.
thank you for this. i used to be the same almost, i didnt have a shop and i didnt see demons on me,but can see them other places but that didnt come along until years after i was saved. i started by wanting to be a witch, i had seeing abilities and was going to study under my best friend because she is a high priestess and she told me the first thing i need to do is read the bible and get to know who God is, at that point i had a " ghost following me around that i had to eventually make leave and even though i didnt know it, i told that entity " in the name of God you are no longer welcome here you have to leave, and that was before i knew how powerful the name of Jesus is. then i had problems with other entities but reading my bible got me iterested in God and i started seeking Him out, i started going to a church and that church was all gung ho for Jesus and it scared me off then i met a woman who was jehovah witness and started studying with her, and i felt something wasnt right so i stopped that , it was a long time after that i got saved. and now i see demons for what they are but still dont understand because i am not in a church at the moment. i cant find one that i can get the whole truth from. ego is a big problem in this area. so i read my bible. but would love to know why i see demons, i even had one in my house that i got rid of...this time speaking the name of Jesus. i havent seen it since. where do i go from here ? i am sort of stuck at the moment, have been for a few years.

Wow, what a testimony! One proof I always noticed even before being saved is how all ideas and beliefs are accepted except Christianity it's always considered offensive.
Thank you for your testimony sister! I was also in New Age and it is a DANGEROUS belief to have. When you're in it you start sympathising with a lot of evil behaviour because of reincarnation. You start thinking that evil doesn't really matter in the end and in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really exist because our higher selves put ourselves here. It's truly disgusting and I pray for all the lost souls who are still in New Age

Great work and obedience doing this Sis. I was deep in the new age type beliefs. Was a really strong believer in A Course in Miracles book. I didn't really have any experiences apart from some pretty crazy weed induced ones and I haven't had an encounter with God but watching The Passion of the Christ at the movies made me think in a different way what Jesus did for us and I asked Him into my life in the theater.
The new age community are very hard to share the Gospel with cos as we know because we were too, they are so deeply entrenched in deception and think they're on the right track while Satan is leading them like he was leading us down the garden path and the wide and brood one that leads to destruction.
I had the revelation that the new age and occult is all the same line. At one end we could just be ignorantly seeking truth and trying to be "good people" but the other end, consciously worshiping Satan but its the same line.
There is only one truth and I've seen and felt enough to wholeheartedly believe that truth is only found in the Person of Jesus Christ.
Just like you i thought He was an ascended master and even had people in "spiritual circles" thinking I was Him.🙄

Yes I absolutely love all of Timothy to be honest! I’ve read the New Testament a few times over now, with the exception of revelation / acts. All of the epistles at least 3-4 times! I’m moved on to the Old Testament now and it makes so much more sense having an understanding of the New. Thank you so much for your comment, I would love to chat more about you and your ministry! It's been a long process for me I had moved all my tarot into the shed but I stil for some reason I went though a lot of attacks the week I signed up to be baptized ..well that was a week ago and I am dealing with 2 stalkers now and it's stopped me going to chruch this week cause he said he would find me there and I gave in and pulled some cards on an online angel card app and it was the romance card 3 times which was almost scary to me and I then had horrible nightmares that night and since oops.. 😯 Not doin that again. Handing in my papers and testimony for baptism this week I won't give up
Burn every object that belongs to the enemy , a.k.a tarot cards!
Renounce all new age practices and rebuke any demons/spirts you may see or feel their presence also plead the blood of Jesus over you daily praying for your deliverance
My husband and I actually had even more spiritual attacks after my baptism, I wasn’t aware that would happen but the enemy wants to pull you down after you’ve been washed clean. I wish someone would have shared that with me, may Gods strength be with you as you make this important decision to surrender your life to Christ. There truly is no better decision you could ever make.
HE, the King of Kings and Lord or Lords has already won, always remember that!

Thank goodness the other one lives in another city and is lazy lol. He just has access to this account and repeats back what I watch in search bar sometimes to shoe me he is watching me and searches up demonic stuff to scare me and my child, he has been stalking me on here for years in secret and finally made himself known this month, so creepy, praying for him but also need to make new one. Wrote it 2 nights ago and everything just flowed. The church I finally told what happened and they ate praying for me and say its ok and sent me some prayers to say and verses today, I will read them now. Everything my pastor has a baptismal service he let's the congregation know and those being baptized that once you get baptized there Satan really starts to try to attack you. He told us to watch for this and be prepared for these spiritual attacks. Every pastor should warn those being baptized. I don't say this to discourage anyone from being baptized. You are protected at that point but hard times might come for a big. You are now an enemy of Satan. But God is with you through it all.

Just recently came out, and had been in the middle of a mentorship and starting a business for reiki.... threw out all the crystals and cards. But now comes the rebuilding and it feels SO lonely .
Satan wants you to be horrible lonely so you’ll fall back to your old life. I’m so sorry. He is always with you.
Jesus will never leave you or forsake you. I hope that you can find a good Christian community to connect with. He will give you more than you have lost, though it is not often straight away or in the way that we expect it will be
