Fix for: Ford Sync displays "no phone" no menu options issue resolved.

- Recently bought a newer fusion and the Microsoft Sync would not give me any options to pair my phone.. after some research this is what I found that you need to do to fix this issue. Pull the fuse!

Dude, same. Battery went dead with a cold snap and lost all Bluetooth function. I was bummed. It was literally the only thing I liked about the car. Ford site was zero help, but this was the fix.
I have a ford fusion 2011 S 2.5 but it tells me No Iphone I'm looking for the sync module I can't find it either the only thing I have left is to check the fuse

so crazy to see that a bunch of ford owners are having this problem! i’ve had my 2010 ford fusion for about 5 years now and the bluetooth would work or it would do this especially after bringing it to the mechanic. sometimes it would go out for weeks and come to find out 5 years later this was the solution!! thank you so much!! works perfectly!!
Thank you for this video! I’ve owned my 2010 fusion for almost 6 years and lately the buttons stopped working when controlling Bluetooth audio. I couldn’t figure it out, so I deleted the car from the list of Bluetooth connections on my phone and then went to the car and had this issue where the phone and menu buttons did nothing.
Thanks to your video I was able to get sync reset, but it took me two tries. The first time I did it, I must have put the fuse back in too quickly. The second time I left the car running when I pulled the fuse and noticed the sync display took several seconds (maybe 10-15) to turn off and go to radio/clock only. At that point I put the fuse back in, turned off the car and restarted it. I was able to pull sync back up after letting the car warm up for 2 minutes and now it’s back to normal. Thanks again!

Pulling the Sync fuse for about a minute as you instructed WORKED for my 2010 Ford Fusion! Bluetooth had always been working until 2 days before the hands free law went into effect in my state so I was very aggravated until I came upon this solution, nothing else was working). Thank you!

FINALLY! THIS is the only video I found that helped. My 2010 Mustang had this issue. Finding the fuse is a PAIN in the you know what. The trick is you have to allow enough time for SYNC to RE-BOOT. It takes a minute. THANKS!
what if i hit the button without allowing enough time, do i have to pull out the fuse again and wait?

Yes, thank you! On my ford focus 2011 I don't have SYNC, it is an older/less exciting model! I unplugged and replugged the no 13 fuse (starter relay). Then had bluetooth on on the car, and ford focus popped up on my phone to add. Popped in the PIN number car gave into my phone and voila! Thank you for sharing! You have saved me from what became a frustratingly circular search of the internet.

Wow, had my 2010 F150 in the shop at ford 3 times. They could not fix it. Suggested I purchased an entirely new stereo head. Needless to say I declined. Your fix did it. I thank you so much.
The shop workers doesn't plug the aux line-in and the second lighter plug on my 2012 fusion after the Ford call on the airbag. They are just there to make it money.

Hey man, found your video and couldn't be more delighted to have this fix work. I literally just bought a 2009 Edge Limited yesterday only to find out none of the sync , line in, or use worked. Disconnected the fuse, left it out for a bit, put it back in and bingo. Everything works perfectly.

Had a similar story told to me about the SIRIUS button, then they sent me a free trial with instructions for my (new to me) old ah car.

I was referred to your video by a radio specialist who could've easily taken the job, but he suggested I try this fix. I have a 2010 Mercury Milan which is the same exact radio and many of the features are the same. I will try this fix and see if it works. I hope it does! I really need my Bluetooth capability to listen to music and of course talk on the phone safely.

For those who stumbled across this video looking for a solution to your Ford Fusion or Mercury Milan radio not functioning and the screen saying FORD FUSION or MERCURY MILAN only. Unplug the negative terminal of your car battery and then the positive terminal. Allow 30-60 seconds and then hook back up in reverse order. This seems to be a common problem and mine has affected my vehicle during extreme cold. Not sure if that is related to the problem. Hope this helps someone who may have this issue.
I can't make a video on that tho lol. But for real yes, that will work as well. That's more of a "hard" reset as it will also reset other systems as well. Some ppl might not be comfortable going under the hood and messing with the battery so that would be a last resort. But thank you for helping out!
wow.. this is awesome thank you.. i been looking around and asking people from where i bought the car... i had to bring in the car because passenger seat airbag has a recall... then... i went home realizing that they knock off my phone bluetooth connection... called them back they receptionist said to fix it they will have to charge me $150... what... they detroyed it and i have to pay it... grrrrrr.... i call the manager.. he told me the same thing you are saying that all they say is try resetting the phone, deleting the phone, etc... to no success...NO PHONE still.... I happen to stumble on your video and now i know what to do and hope that this will work on my 2011 ford fusion. by the way... where in the manual did you find the right fuse number that works for the SYNC... i just don't want to make a mistake pulling out all the fuses LOL... i hope you see this comment.. i know it has been awhile since you posted this video at its 2019 of March now... If this doesn't work for you it's because the Bluetooth antenna used by the system is blown. Found that out after trying several fix methods when I gave up and took it to the dealership. However at the dealership for it to be fixed out of warranty is well over a grand. My 2015 escape would have cost me $1600.

First I tried the Battery cable after you said it should do the same though for sure it would do the same thing. It did not.
I had to get to the fuse not easy for a fat guy at all. Took it to a radio Installer and he pulled the fuse for me . WORKED great

Thanks Buddy! Worked for me. Takes a minute though, be patient when starting car after fuse pull. Car must connect itself to SYNC before you can connect to car. Then "delete all devices" and start the connection from scratch.

just had this issue after my battery had died (some dumbass left the key on in the ignition, definetly wasn't me haha). I was pretty stumpted for a while, but after I watched your video it turns out I was pulling 1 fuse too low. got good ol' SYNC working again, thank you.

This fixed my problem with my Fusion 2011. At first it said I was connected but when selecting source BT it said No device connected, so frustating, I was about to change phone!

Check your owners manual. The issue is the sync not the radio. Hope it works out for you!

Yes, works with my 2010 Fusion as well. My mechanic normally does it in the shop during any service that has engaged the battery or electrical system during the repair. He said it doesn’t take much to disrupt Sync. Well I had some work done elsewhere and used this video as a refresher to reset it myself after I got the car back. Reaching under to access the CBs is good for at least one bloody knuckle. Ford addresses everything about sync except a complete sync shutdown...crickets chirping....see a dealer.
