- Sting was nice enough to ZOOM in from his home in Tuscany and have a chat about his upcoming area shows. He'll be in A.C. on September 3 at the Hard Rock, and he'll co-host the One Fine Day Festival at the Mann on 9/9 with Shaggy, G Love, Thundercat and Tank & The Bangas, just to name a few. We covered several topics, and he gave us a scoop about an upcoming Police "Synchronicity" box set!!
Schön das ich Sting mal privat sehe. Eine Ehre für mich. Danke Mr. Sting.
Just saw him in Austin, amazing as always
Saw his great show in Toronto September 5th.
First time seeing him in concert, but had seen him in his stage production, The Last Ship.
The man lives up to the legend.
Incredible musician, Sting!)
All the best from Romania -Europe!)
Great interview! Thanks!
Great interview thanks
Nice to see a broadcaster with so much dedication and interest in the police. Previous box-sets have been a huge let down with the same old versions peddled to death so it’ll be interesting to see what they come up with in absence of MTV having filmed the Shea concert. The early demos with John Cale would be fascinating. As it would to see the original lyrics for the police hits to see the way in which the early Last Exit lyrics were adapted and re-worked for the police. In over 40 years the original draft lyrics have never seen the light of day.
How did a channel with 133 subs get to speak to Sting??? Ok, he is a DJ, but still....
He sounding more geordie i know i am one. He normally trys to speak posh.
Sting seems to accept all interviews. I often wonder why he still bothers. Surely retirement must be imminent. He is 72 successful and wealthy beyond belief. At what point does he say that’s it? He needs neither the money nor the fame. He has enough money for the next 3 generations of his family. And surely he MUST have had enough of performing by now.
It's easy to say somebody has enough money, but unless you're his accountant, it's simply conjecture. I tend to think, he has ( large ) overheads/running costs of his lifestyle that need to be met. He's no longer selling records/ CDs etc in vast amounts, so that money must come from live concerts. Or he made a deal, like Bob ( Dylan) said, inorder to get where he was , he has to fulfill his side of the bargain.
WHY ARE YOU SO ANNOYING? LISTEN TO STERN
