Everybody gangsta till the snakes start flying

Or a cockroach 💀💀💀
Look up at the sky its a bord its a plane
Maybe this snake has a dream to become a dragon.

Imagine opening a third story window for some fresh air then a snake just flies in your window.
It happened to my grandpa

Gliding is just a fancy way of saying a controlled fall.
@R LI: So that's why that panda was portraied as a glider!
You mean falling with style.
So if flying is falling and missing the ground, gliding is pretending you totally meant to hit the ground?
The Impish Dullahan you forgot the falling up part. Falling up and falling to miss the ground.
Walking is just a series of controlled falls, prove me wrong
Snake enthusiasts: *Flying snakes! Yay!*
People with ophidiophobia: *THEY CAN FLY NOW? RUN!*

I love the retro aesthetic with the old footage in between.
Reminds me of "The Most Extreme" that used to be on Animal Planet! :D
Me too!
Imagine a future where snakes evolved powered flight and filled in many niches all over the world
No
Some guy: so i was just standing outside my car having a smoke, and then a snake on a lampost took a turd on my car!
Another guy: IKR! i was going fishing with my son and a snake jumped out the water and bit him then jumped back in and strangled a shark, like wtf.
That kind of body plan has never happened. You need limbs for powered flight, of which snakes lack. Probably, snakes could evolve proto-limbs again with the right selective pressures using existing structures. (For example, scales changing gradually to become long spikes with muscular bases; maybe this new structure was devoped for digging.) After that, they'd need to again be selectively pressured to use these limbs in a way that leads to flight.
They can stay the hell out of my niches.
What a nightmare...... NO

YOU FORGOT ABOUT FLYING SPOODERS! They do what is called ballooning, where they release several small webs that catch the wind. They can float several miles, and have been found on an island over a hundred miles from the mainland. They are really cool to see in action.
You mean terrifying to see in action.

I'm surprised you didn't mention the flying squid. They have webbed tentacles and use their tentacles and fins to glide similar to flying fish. Even cooler than flying fish though is the fact that their main mode of travel, jet propulsion could easily be adapted to generate powered flight.
Are we just going to ignore that she said there were over 60 species of flying fish and some can glide for up to 100 meters and 6 meters high? That’s insanely awesome!
Danielle: makes quarantine Animalogics vid from home
Her cat: this should be a cat video
Lol @5:43. It's subtly hilarious watching graduate students chase after flying snakes. Also, I love little touches like 9:26. Really brings to the audience that these shows are made by real people that just love to share science!
I own an American southern flying squirrel. I love him. His name is Pixel and if I could show a picture I would :3 he's the best.
Flying squirrels are sold In the markets in Thailand.... As pets.
They are very, very cute.

I live in a secondary forest in Southeast Asia. I come across flying tree snakes from time to time and they are the cutest things. They're not aggressive and it's easy to cajole one into a net to relocate them.

Dude, that’s so badass! Can you imagine if these dudes lived where those flying spiders live? Everyone would carry around giant umbrellas.... what a place that would be, lol...
Don't give this year any more ideas please.
I mean, jumping spiders can get some serious air
Very true! The ones I was thinking about are the kind that make parachutes out of their silk and are not as cute looking... lol
Dead End lol!!
When you see a draco lizard and think cool I've gotta have one of them! And then you realize they would need a forest in their enclusue and your flat doesn't even fit a single tree...

Thank you so Animalogic. More Power from the Philippines!!!!
I've always thought mixing one of these with a quetzal bird would yield the perfect example of an irl quetzalcoatl.

Awesome video! Thank you.🙂
Love your content, thanks
I had NO idea flying fish existed! That's sooo cool! 😲
Wow!! Those flying snakes must have a Ph.D in aerodynamics.
LOVE the new editing though!!!!
As long as you were discussing flying fish, you could have also mentioned flying squids. They fly about as well as fish, but they usually do it at night, so there are fewer photos available.
Hello Danielle Dufault, congratulations on finding that Triceratops.
2020:hmmm flying snakes are nice but they don’t live in Florida or Washington oh I got it how about spiders 😊

i really like the retro vibe in these kind of episodes.
No way! 😅 When you said the frogs were cartoonish I really didn't expect CARTOONISH!! Those tiny things are so cool 😎

The flying fish brings back memories. I remember seeing them from the ship I was on.

Frogs mating. Some build foam nests in trees and that's what they're building there.
Described differently: yes, they're ***** and ***** and then stomping around in their *****.
Flying Squid!!! I need an episode on Flying Squid. There is so little information out there on them!
Ooh, I've pet one of those. It tried to bite me after lol. They look really nice.
Paradise tree snakes
Great video👍
Idk why but using old 40-50s footage in between the animal footage is giving me Animal Planet's The Most Extreme flashbacks

So what habitat you from?

GOSH ! I would have missed that flying snake if not for the gigantic red circle and the arrow :O
So cool
Freshwater hatchet fish also fly. Pectoral fins are actually vibrates, the hatchet shape comes from the muscle attachment points on the "chest " similar to a birds keel bone.
I love that half a second of posing after she says her lines.
