  • This home is a classic old home which shows the transition from the big bungalow style in to the mock Tudor style with the more intricate steeper pitched angles on the front gables. The thick veranda pillars are still square like the bungalows but Tudor homes here in Australia soon were all putting thick round sculptured pillars for the veranda supports. There is absolutely no graffiti in this home and is untouched apart from a few taps and the hot water service being removed from the ceiling in the dining room. The interiors are original and very detailed with updates to the kitchen and bathroom. I hate to say it but yes......this one is destined to be demolished in favor of huge units complex.

We all have our own ideas about the arch style for this house. But along with the possible Indian or Moorish influence, the Tudor style uses the same arch. It's a lovely house. And I regret it's loss. With the fancy etched glass and leaded glass windows, there is a good possibility the windows on either side of the fireplace In the living room were once stained glass. It is the fanciest room of the house. I would use the center gallery as a dining room. And make the dining room into a library. Ah well... too bad it's being razed. Everything about the property is appealing. Including the ducks and swimming pool. Thanks for the opportunity to see another wonderful house.

And i have a couple other Tudor homes not uploaded yet that have that themed arch on the front door entry so I agree it was a Tudor theme at least here in Australia for a brief period with Tudor and in to Art Deco. First I have to tell you just how much I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!! You pay such close attention to every detail, and that’s exactly what I want to see. I am never disappointed after watching! Thank you! ☺️
This home is stunning!! I love everything about it, from the brickwork, front door, back patio and pool on the outside, to everything inside. The shower looks like it would give you a power wash and exfoliate your skin! I love it! The master bedroom is so big and beautiful, I would want to spend every Sunday in bed all day with a good book, a cup of tea or two, and a fire burning :) It looked like you summoned the ducks to come and they did! So cute! The large area in the center reminds me of old Victorian homes in the states in the 1700-1800’s. A sort of reception area. I would picture a large round table under the chandelier with a large vase of fresh flowers on it. A few library tables along the walls with books, pieces of artwork and beautiful lamps. A beautiful sofa or chaise lounge and some winged back chairs on each side. Okay, I’ll stop! Haha. I see the Moroccan style as well in this house. So, so sad that it won’t be lived in and loved anymore. Thank you for showing us this exquisite home! Take care and stay safe my friend!! 😉

Those gorgeous finishes on the ceilings, above the doors and those leadlight windows! Lush greenery and a lovely pool. Such a shame to see this beautiful piece of history listed for demolition. It's the people living round this place I feel sorry for. When the demolition begins all the dust and noise and then the noise and dust from the building of a ghastly new apartment block. The front of the house and yard is really gorgeous. Mallard ducks in the pool. Really nice patio area. Neat shower, but a little claustrophobic. Love the old fashion door hardware. Very unique, the tall wooden like an arched entryway. Love the tall ceilings Love the fireplace.Love the cabinets and doors next to the fireplace. *Love* this house! 1927 was the year my grandmother was born. :-) Such a shame that one more beautiful home will making way for more cold steel boxes and glass utterly devoid of charm and character. My grandparents had a china cabinet that had lead lined glass. The ducks landing in the pool was so cool! :-D I'll bet there's plenty of frogs in that pool, though. I'm totally digging on the shower pod. Like Diane Stephenson said, "Beam me up, Scotty!" lol That was my first thought when I saw it. lol The tub in the second bathroom is so deep you could practically swim your way out of it. lol This was such a neat explore! :-) I'm doing better physically, the black eyes have healed and the brain bleed is slowing down. I'm in Las Vegas for the last horse show for quite awhile. Still have some nausea from the brain bleed, but that's easily dealt with. The trick is to stay as cool as possible what with the high temperatures and heat. The cool of Autumn can come any time now. lol Work has been keeping me busy as always and sadly, we lost a beloved pet dog to old age on Tuesday this week. So between the sadness, illness and injury, I keep plugging along and somehow, staying positive through it all. :-) Please give Nicholai a hug and kiss for me and I look forward to your next explore! :-)

I too thought Moracan when I saw the arch! Kind of clashes with the Tudor entry - but I think the painted paneling and shelves would have been stained originally. The paint might have thrown it off. What a gorgeous home. Looks to have a few issues (dinning room ceiling), but nothing that couldn't be repaired. They had some money to build this beauty. It just aches my heart to think this home will be destroyed. The large hall (at first I thought dinning room) might just be a greeting hall. A large table would have sat below the chandelier. And a few chairs for guests along the wall. Wouldn't have been a lot in the room. So glad you have documented another home. As most of them are, this is a treasure. I will still hope someone will rescue this home before the big equipment comes in. Is futile i know. But I just have to wish. Thank you fine Sir, another great video :-).

Thanks for showing this Lovely Tudor! Too bad it will be torn down! The outside brick work, pool, and back entertaining deck are absolutely Gorgeous! You can tell it is about 100 yrs old on the inside because of the lack of a bathroom attached to the Main Bedroom, but it did have a Beautiful Ceiling and closets! The living room and dining room were Beautiful, with the glazed brick fireplaces, glass doored shelving units, and glass doors between the rooms! I loved the Indian influenced doorways, fireplaces, hallway pillars with doorway, and the woodwork! The only thing I I was puzzled about was that they had that wonderfully Big Kitchen, but used Such A Small Part Of It As A Kitchen! I would have remade it into a Huge Kitchen Work Area with lots of Cabinets, a Big Cook Top, and a Huge Island!! One part of the island could have seating. If needed there could be a nice casual eating area in the big hallway area. Too bad it will soon be gone! Do you Know Why They Are Tearing Down Homes that look like they are liveable?!?
